I wasnt so lucky, saw this video after the service center guy has already came and changed the 'faulty' membrane keypad for Rs 2100. I guess all what he did was to plug out and plug in the connector as shown.

Indeed Sir this is a common problem, nice video... a microwave oven's principal of operation is to transform(with a high voltage transformer, the square heavy object) common household AC voltage into a high tension direct current voltage using a rectification diode(little black doo da) and capacitor(silver spherical can shaped doo da), the voltage is then forwarded to the Magnetron( the goodie with the metal cooling fins) which generates microwaves this in turn feeds (via a waveguide) into the oven cavity, the microwaves collide (through the food) in the middle of the cavity thus creating heat which cooks the food from the inside out, those who delve inside always make sure that in addition to unplugging the unit from the wall socket and removing the lid to DISCHARGE the high voltage capacitor(the spherical silver can like goodie )near the back cover, by shorting out the contacts with an INSULATED screwdriver or piece of wire to render the unit harmless .

The suggestions in this video worked ok for me. Basically un-plug, re-plug the mini-connectors, clean the ribbon cable edge (using tissue with with alcohol will do) and re-insert. Error should hopefully be gone after next start. Thanks!

Thanks for this video Mr. Jagadeswar ji. I've been having the same issue with Samsung model. I did this and it seemed to have worked for a while but the problem re-appeared. SS person visited, says the moisture over time has caused the IC to have issue leading to SE (Switching Error). 2 solns. proposed - replaced PCB (like to like, total cost ~2400) or replace IC (total cost 1100 : Part 500, labor 600). Hoping to know more about the technical aspect of the issue from you. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for visiting this clipping. Several possiblities. 1. Probably you did not lock the cable inside the socket. after inserting the cable try to pull wth little force to ascertain it got locked. 2. Please try to close the door of the oven softly so that the cable does not pop out. Hard to believe the story of IC MOISTURE .... ETC.. But this is a remote possibility. . Good Luck. If you are happy with the solution please fowrard this clipping to your freinds and family members.

Chandan Sharma: Yeah right ......the guy who came to diagnose was a technician and he knows the consequences of repairing parts instead of replacing them. This is not India where no body cares if house catch fires from stupid repairs or someone gets killed for saving $$. I guess you like to be killed but just want to save money. The people who works on appliances are technician trained in field , spent time , money to learn that. They can’t go around people houses for free. They are not charity workers, they have to pay the bills and feed kids too. Keep Saving your money and gets killed one day ok. 🤪

Hello I have a kinda new Samsung microwave with this error, I opened it was filled with cockroaches and bodies and lots of poo of those critters on every connector transistor and cable. I did the thing on this video but the error is still there.
