Have been binge-watching your channel for the past two days. I love it! It’s clear and concise and packed with valuable info. It feels so good to understand the how and what. Until now, it just escaped me, and I was doing my best, but I didn’t gain any traction which was super frustrating. For the first time in months, I’m excited about instagram again. Thank YOU!!!! The location tag isn’t completely clear to me yet. I am a visual artist, I live in a small town in the Netherlands. I don’t make pictures of my town, I don’t exhibit my work there, nor do I sell my work there. I am in the process of creating an online store, from which I will be able to sell internationally. What would be wise, location tag-wise? An answer would be super appreciated. Best on your journey! It will be bright.
Hi Hermien, thank you so much for the kind words, I'm genuinely stoked that the videos have gotten you excited about Instagram again! Re the location tag, great question. I'd just use the country tag, or perhaps the nearest big city tag. It's always helpful to use the location tag regardless, and perhaps you can test out a few different ones (your own town, nearby big city, country) and see how it goes. Let us know how you go, and thank you again! :) - C
That's so kind Michail, thank you!! We hope that we can continue to provide value for as many people that need it. Thanks for watching, and if you ever have a question you'd like answered in an upcoming video, please don't hesitate to ask! - T
Binge watching and I love your videos 🙂 and I have a question about location tag. Im from Croatia, Europe and make and sell a product on etsy mostly to US, Canada and oter world wide locations. Local people mostly dont use my product, never had a local sale. What would you suggest me about location tag?
That's so awesome to hear :) Interesting situation. You could probably just leave it out then, seeing as there doesn't seem like a benefit for you. If you put a different location in the location tag, it might come across as if you're misrepresenting where you're based, which isn't optimal. Might be best to leave it for now. Thanks for watching! - C
@@Highseasonco Thanks for taking time to answer 🙂 yeah I thought the same about misrepresenting my location. Thanks again, and I really enjoy your videos 💕
I want to ask you this please: From my experience I've found that the percentage of instagram post reach is higher and better than facebook, facebook used to be great (through the years the number of people who are seeing a post you publish on Facebook has been decreasing remarkably, and you are forced to run promotions to reach more people).. my question is: Do you think that Instagram is going in the same direction? Is Instagram's post organic reach and engagment dereasing?!
Hi there, it's kind of tough to know for sure, it's all speculation. It seems to be constantly decreasing, yes, mostly due to the focus on getting users to pay for ads to be seen. It's likely that Instagram will head in that direction. - C
Hey guys, I've been binge-watching your content for the past two weeks, it is soooo informative and useful! I have two questions: 1. Is there any difference between the location tag in the photo and the @ tag in the caption/comments (in terms of reach, impressions, etc.)? And 2. Does the 3 tag approach apply for stories as well? I've seen the video where Tiffany shows us how to hide hashtags and location tags in stories (amazing hacks, btw!!) and I was wondering if this does wonders for our reach :)
Hey Daniela, so happy you're enjoying the videos and finding them helpful! To answer your questions: 1) The location tag is important because it puts you into Instagram's specific location feed increasing your opportunities for reach. A tag in the caption or comments only alerts the person you tag to the images, but won't show up in any of the Instagram designed feeds for discovery thus the reach/impressions opportunities are limited. 2) YES! And we'll actually be shooting a video for that, verrrry soon for optimizing your Stories for more views. ;) Thanks again for watching, I think you will enjoy the video we have coming up next! Until then, let me know if you have any other questions! - T

I'm curious about the location tag.. I literally live in a village in Devon, England, most of my posts are taken in my home, is it really worth tagging my location when it's not that exciting?
@@bevvywithbeth7996 Hey Beth! Apologies, I just saw this now. It's worth tagging the region as others searching through the Devon location tag will be able to see your posts and you could potentially generate some engagement or followers. - C
This is Myles , and thanks for sharing the great ideas ! Regarding location tag, if you are targeting countries that you are not located in , would you recommend to tag it and would Instagram detected and lower your reach as a result ? Thanks ! Cheers from Hong Kong
Hey Myles, that is a great question! From our experience you will not face any issues using location tags that aren't related to your actual location/geotag. We manage hotel clients with multiple locations and often have to tag other cities outside where we live without any issues to reach / results. Thanks for watching and look forward to visiting Hong Kong some day soon! - T
@2:05 Why shouldn't we be synching our content from Instagram to other networks? You mentioned it would look out of place and didn't try. Could you please expand on this?
Hi Adele, this is because Instagram has specific elements that only pertain to that platform. For example, if you tag an account in your Instagram caption, it will come up on Facebook, for example, exactly how it appears on Instagram. Unless you edit the caption on Facebook (more work for you) after you've synched the post, it will look like you don't care about your Facebook page and followers will be less likely to engage or convert. Or if you sync to Twitter, if the accounts you tagged don't use the same handle on both platforms, that tweet isn't able to be edited and it's a missed opportunity, along with looking lazy (not to mention the way Instagram syncs to Twitter). Hope that helps. - C
Hi, I created a channel and I posted 20+ posts but reach is less than 50 for every video and I am not sure what’s wrong. Could you please let me know what’s the problem? Thank you
A branded hashtag is a specific hashtag that a brand uses on all their posts that relates only to them. For example, Nike can use #JustDoIt. We use our own slogan, #BreakTheAlgorithm. - C
@@Highseasonco thank you. I'm starting off on IG.i have a following of 1500. I've been getting alot of blue profiles seeing my content and some even following me and having a high hashtag reach; yet can't tell which hashtags are doing the work
So we're talking about location tags. If you're a bricks & mortar business with a physical location, you'll have registered your location that can be tagged on Facebook and Instagram (and beyond). If you search your location, you'll be able to find images and videos that users have posted from your establishment, which you could use to repost as User Generated Content. It's another place to find useful content for your profile. Hope that helps. - C
im starting a health supplement, i need some help. i havent released it yet. should i do grid post and then bring engagement to my profile for email signup when it releases?

3 tag approach
1. Hashtags
2. Location tags
3. Brand account tags
4.Alt tags
