  • This tip is to show you how to continually adjust your Scout's belt as they grow. NO need to cut to size. This will save you money throughout his/her Scouting trail to Eagle by only purchasing ONE belt.

    even back in the 1960's we NEVER cut the belt...we slid the free end under the right side of the belt..just like you see in the video...we did the same in the military....NEVER cut the webbing,,,it will unravel from the cut end and leave you a ruined belt..then we adjusted the belt buckle and "cheeked up" with the end of the belt's metal "lip"...same with the military ..metal to metal...And yes, I did have a camping /regular buckle AND a polished "ceremonial" buckle...I came from a very military family.....I even tucked my boot laces into my hiking boots so they stayed tied and dry...hahahahaha !!!

      Thanks for commenting and sharing your tips for your bootlaces. There are probably a lot of females who were unaware of tucking the free end into the back of the belt. I'm sure most males knew this technique. :) Thanks for watching.
