You WILL get through this. The one thing the world can’t take from you is your desire. I know that full well. Certainly not as bad as what you’ve been through, I can guarantee you that you can get through this and your family will be okay. Don’t put pressure on yourself. You have enough to deal with. Don’t give up.
You’re VERY IMPORTANT to us in the amateur radio community! God bless you mate. Thank you for all you’ve done to help people grow and learn in this hobby. You still got it James.
I’m going to take a little bit of this video and play it on my RUclips channel that helps to encourage people to get into amateur radio. Perhaps someone will help you that watches that segment. I’ll be sure and credit your channel in the description so they have a link to you.

James, I have been praying for you and your family since your dear wife posted about your coma a few months ago. My son in law is an Excutive Pastor for Beachside Church in Palm coast and he prayed as well.
James, I’m so sorry. I met you and your family at the hamfest Saturday, I wondered because I follow y’all. You family has encouraged me so much and it was such a huge joy to talk to y’all. But I didn’t feel right asking what happened, glad you shared this video, I wish I’d seen it earlier. Man, my prayers are with you and your family and such a thank you for the encouragement y’all give to ham radio.

James I started watching your videos of your awesome family and ran into your were on life support. I am am so glad to see that the Lord had other plans for you and spared your life. I will keep praying for you and your family. God bless!
Wow I had my mitral valve replaced in 2017. I went to the doctor with a back problem but turns out I was having small strokes and my valve was infected. So I chose a mechanical valve and was recovering well and I had a major stroke 10 days after open heart surgery. So al in all I was in Baylor hospital in Dallas about 6-8 weeks. I have since retired since my job as an engineer I wasn’t allowed to work part time or work from home. Your story and mine make me realize good health is such a gift. I had a 30% chance of survival. Glad I was in hospital already when that happened. I will be in Gainesville / Ft White Florida next week. I would love to see you or the cases your daughter builds. You look good! I'm happy you want to get back to things. I have several friends that have lost limbs and every single one of them got back to doing the things they love. Ask as many people as you can about their prosthetics. Sometimes less is more. Your passion will get you through anything!

Just seeing your very moving video now, 9months later. I am 100% disabled for 12yrs. Also, a husband, dad, Pop-Pop. I, too was in the medical field and THE provider for our family. My wife fortunately had the blessing of being a stay-home, homeschooling mom with the kids until things changed. Having gone through all I have since this- my life turned upside down
and shaken like a pair of pants ‘til the change all falls out of the pockets. And the totally unexpected and disastrous changes to our family has led you and I down some similar paths. It changes a man. In stages and gaps.
But! hey, all that put away, and for a lighter note. If you don’t mind a little interjected…you mentioned that you might end up with a dozen amputations. If so, you’d be like a “12 point buck”.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Please stay strong. I was looking through some of your old videos and saw where you previously had the West Nile virus. There have been heart complications reported after WNV infections. Just thought this was something you might want to be aware of.

I'd thought I'd been through a lot nearly bleeding to death from a femoral bleed at home and bladder cancer and finally 4 amputations resulting in a LAKA. You have been through the ringer. You cant even put your on prosthesis on. I wish you well but I'm on disability making a portion of my former wages.
