- This is the epic moment when THUNDERCAT Brought LOUIS Cole on Stage to Play "I Love Louis Cole" at the MONTREAL Jazz Festival in 2023. He also shared the story of how he met Louis Cole. The result was magic.
The fact that Louis Cole and Thundercat are friends and jam together somehow makes me feel like everything is right with the world.
Right? They're like a luminous oasis of hope and joy in a dark world. 🙏
Louis Cole without sunglasses even
With the power of his Waffle House shirt, he didn't need the mighty sunglasses.
I barely recognize him without his hat that says "HAT".
Louis opened a dimension portal with those drums... I think the reason he doesn't normally include toms in his own sets is because he'll invoke a black hole singularity. I guess this stage was fortified to withstand his *_awesome._*
He really did. I very nearly got sucked into the wormhole he opened up. 10 of us were holding on to each other in a chain like Snorlax holding the Pokémon in the Pokémon movie just to stay in this reality. Thankfully, Louis reigned it in and closed the portal at the last second before our hands gave out and we got transported to the land of Eldritch monstrosities.

Sorry about that! Your humble cameraman was admittedly biased towards his instrument of bass and was rather intoxicated. I'm just amazed it's relatively steady all things considered. 😂 Dennis Hamm is definitely amazing. He went HAMM on those keys. 😎

@@adamadeptus3686 I feel I owe it to those still out there to know that, even in hopelessness, there is still hope in abundance as I am a walking testimony of my own journey through addiction/recovery. Today is my 91st day of 24 hours clean and recovering, consecutively.
Instead of living to die, I’m living to love and loving to live. I’m feeling instead of numbing, and that’s the good, the bad and the ugly as well as the pretty. Life is good.

Many Thundercat fans are also Louis Cole fans. Being one of them, I couldn't have been more excited when he walked out on stage. I filmed this video so that other fans around the world could enjoy the amazing moment too. ✌️

Thanks for filming a vertical video, it really captured the moment! (yes, I'm sorry for being THAT guy).
I hear you. It was a tough call in terms of which way to film. The reason I opted for vertical was that I was far enough from the stage that filming a horizontal video wouldn't have given a very good view of the musicians. The screens on the sides of the stage were vertical, so I figured if I zoomed in with a vertical video I could mainly linger on the big screens and have them fill the screen. If you watch the video in vertical mode on your phone, the result is that more of the screen would be filled than if you watched it smaller in horizontal mode.

I almost never watch videos on my phone, and on my computer monitor the vertical video was annoying, but I realize that I'm old and set in my way and most people watch media on their small vertical phone screens these days. Either way, I'm glad you captured this moment, whether it be vertical or not. Thank you :)
