Definitely agree. Normally people don't stress too much about buying phone cases, but for foldables videos like these are extremely helpful and much appreciated!
10:50 that point about adhesive strips weakning with heat was super smart, as a high heat environment guy you definitely got me to steer clear of the adhesive style cases
you literally reviewed ALL FIVE of the cases I've been considering for my phone and you hit on all the key elements of the cases that matter most to me, I'll be getting the SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle; I've been sticking with this brand for a few years now and I can honestly say that their designs never really seem to fail to strike that perfect balance between quality, ruggedness, having a modern aesthetic, and practicality. That being said, although I am somewhat nervous of having no real protection around the hinge, I am very-much not a fan of those hinge covers jutting over the front screen whenever you even partially open it: They destroy the symmetry, aren't comfortable, add massive bulk, block the screen when using the rear selfie cam, and also interfere with with a little-known feature of the fold where you can unfold the screen to about a 45 degree angle and set it on your wireless charger where it will double as a clock for your night stand when you go to bed ( that last one is nit-picky, I know, but it's surprisingly a really really cool little feature) Had I not watched your video, I would have ended up spending (apparently) $100 dollars on the Spigen Tough Armor case or settled for the UAG Civilian and absolutely hated it since they are clearly very flimsy cases. You are a gentleman and a scholar; I thank you, sir.
Thank you for the support Trey, I also appreciate the fact that you took the time to write a detailed comment. I try to offer as much Detail on each case as possible in case anyone has a specific thing they might be looking for as well as a good assortment. I love the UB pro also, it offers some good protection while still staying not super bulky. Happy holidays!
It works really well although not a fan of the built-in screen protector, ended up (very carefully) taking it out since the case has such a pronounced edge protecting the cover screen. One thing I will warn you, the plastic used for the front of the case is clear plastic for some reason meaning if you scratch the paint deep enough, it will show through
@PixelBuster ah OK I'll probably end up getting this anyways, it seems like one of the better cases for actually protecting the phone. Thx for the insite :)
I am with you on the case retention stickers. They are a problem if you need to take the phone out to do cleaning. Eventually, they will not stick when reused, OR, you will run out of replacements, IF, they even work to hold the case halves on in the first place.
I agree but why would you ever take them out to clean your phone I have had my case on my phone for like a year straight without taking it off and it’s fine

Yes! You're my hero! Thank you for being 1 of 2 reviews (out of over 50) to show how it holds in left hand as every right handed person would use it! Apparently ppl just lack imagination and can't do a proper review and hold it infolded in right hand. I want to see them operate with left hand lmfao! Well done!
Great video, by far the most extensive review on the Z Fold 4 cases that I have found whether it be written or video reviews by far. Only thing I would have liked to see is the wireless charging test done, or results mentioned, on every case. That's no biggie though, most manufacturers list this in the case info. I just subscribed because you did a fantastic job on this real review video!
Thanks for your reviews. I personally bought the UAG before watching your videos. I absolutely love it. Only drawbacks are no kickstand and the click volume rocker could be better. The sticky components work beautifully and the hinges are protected. I've dropped the phone several times without incident. I don't use an S pen, so that's not an issue. I don't like cases where the phone cannot lay somewhat flat and therefore wouldn't choose many of those cases. Had mine now for 8 months and no issues. Thanks, again.
I chose the Supcase UB since I want to have my phone open while I wireless charge in my car. Whilst I love the UB Pro, you can only wireless charge when the screen is closed. The hinge protector also blocks off the screen when using front screen preview mode for the camera.
I hate that all the hinge protectors slide over the front screen when the phone is opened. When you're using that screen to show the camera preview it covers it up partially
@@alexhennis8630 I guess if I could have my perfect case I would have the hinge protector of the Spigen tough armor or the uag civilian case. With a detachable spend case on the back and a non megnetic kickstand on the back. Maybe like the one on the Samsung standing case

Great review of a bunch of cases. I really appreciate you taking the time to go through more than just one cae at a time; really helped me in making my decision!
Great video! Alot of time and effort and its much appreciated! Question...do you have any plans on reviewing the Ghostek Atomic Slim or Ghostek Executive Fold 4 cases? They look nice but a review would be very helpful. Also, I mount my phone on a magnet in the car. I currently slip a metal disc under the phone case and it works great. For the Fold 4 magnetic mounting is not mentioned anywhere. Thought I would bring that to your attention. Thanks for the work you do!
Another big peeve of mine on cases for these phones are the ones that have a "flap" for the front screen. They don't really protect the edge of that part of the case. If you drop it, it might even flip back and expose the whole front of the front screen to damage.
So glad I came across this video. I never knew you could switch out the stand for the pen holder. I never seen no other video reviewer mention this. Awesome job. Great review. 👍🏾
I remember when Otterbox was considered about as good as you could get for a phone case, then Samsung came out with the curved screens and Otterbox came out with the "screen protector-less" cases as if that was a "feature" yet still charged as much for their cases. Otterbox has been atrociously bad ever since.
The reason of OtterBox decline is that Samsung and apple started making heavier and bigger phones. The XS Max was 208gr just like the note 20 ultra, now the iPhone 14 Pro Max is 240gr and the S22 Ultra wieght 228gr.
@GH0STST4RSCR34M nobody cares about your built in screen protector, otter box made bulky "military grade" cases (commuter), phones weren't that big and heavy in the past so using one of those wasn't a big deal, now if you try using it your phone will weight almost 300gr or 10.58oz, no one wants to hurt their wrist while using his phone. That's why the symmetry series cases are their current best seller
@GH0STST4RSCR34M You're wrong! Literally just got rid of a Galaxy S8 Plus, and once again, Otterbox (stupidly) tried to push "screen protectorless" as a design feature! It was NOT a design feature, it was laziness, greed and a lack of innovation! Even the "Defender" series had no screen protector and that's pure ass! The S8 Plus did NOT have a screen protector, I didn't make it up to start a conversation, that is a fact! Otterbox has been trash for some time now!
@GH0STST4RSCR34M The best case right now for most phones is from SupCase. They are essentially what Otterbox used to be before they got greedy! They're less expensive too!
@@noventay4 The screen protector has a lot to do with that decline. Anyone who saw the S8 series cases and saw "screen protectorless edition" knew that was a cost saving measure and not a "feature". Weight may have had some influence, but Otterbox was the only case you could get back then for flagship phones with a built in screen protector. Even now separate screen protectors are not ideal, and are difficult to apply in most cases. People want cases with screen protectors. That won't change any time soon.
I got the clear cosmo case, thank you so much for your time and effort into this video! I would love to see the metal bumper cases that they make for the fold as well if its not too much trouble.
2 things id like to add, I own 3 of those cases. And using the adhesive stickers to mount the case completely eliminates that "cheap feeling" it makes the case feel secure and fitted and gives you higher continence in the case. The second thing is, The Samsung cases do not have a "counter bump" opposite the camera to stop rocking when Laid down. where's the Spigen cases do. Its a feature worth noting
I work in construction, those adhesive stickers to try to make the case hold on better or feel sturdy, really just get packed up with dirt in a week and then the case slides off in your pocket.
Super video men! Thanks for all the reviews. Between the Supcase UB pro and the iBlason Cosmo, which one would you choose? In terms of security, bulkyness, comfort and looks. Thanks again!
@@HighTechCheck hi friend. Again me. I have a question for you: ive already bought the ub pro, but i have this trouble that the front edges of the cover are too wide, even write messages including "q,a or 1" is very difficult, and also it chops a little of the left edge (the hinge side) of the videos. Do you have this problem with the ub pro and maybe go around it somehow? I would apreciate a lot your insights on this. Thanks in advance.
Thank you so much for this, just bought one because my 6 year old Moto Z4 barely charges now. Normally I don't buy a case because what I get is already atleast a couple years old and relatively cheap, but this guy I WANT to protect as much as possible. I've noted down 5 cases I'm gonna research more on amazon. Will update what I get. Thanks again for this really REALLY nice showcase.
Just picked up the Spigen Thin Fit P. I love this case and I used your video to make my choice. I hold the phone in my right hand, being left-handed so the power button location was actually genius and made the log in more stable as it held my thumb in the best position. The step-down opening ritual also made for a smoother opening procedure. Much more stable and less flexible than the Samsung Standing Pen case I purchased. Using the stickers, it is rock solid. And inexpensive compared to other cases.
I ordered Number 7, the sprigen thin fit because the pen holder placement allows me to use my phone flat on a table as well as placing in a phone mount. It poses no issues when unlocking/using the fingerprint sensor. Highly recommend. I actually used the back of the Samsung case with the hand grip with the front piece of the spigen thin fit.
Spingen thin fit pen ..... its expensive peace of crap. have my 2nd. already within a yaer! Problem is this thin front display left edge, that cracks at the top or bottom. Won't buy anymore.
@@peppeqSK guess it depends how you treat it? Mines been fine. No issues. If it did crack, I'd just sand down the spots where it was connected and wear it like that.
Really appreciate the reviews! Much obliged sir, I typically like the Spigen cases but I'm always going back to the Latercase. Its so slim and actually protects my Z fold 2 and now Z Fold 4 from drops 🎉
you should also look at how the cases affect the functionality of the phone, not just the protection and aesthetics. e.g. the Spigen Tough Armor Case, which to me personally is the worst, because of the raised (too high) and thick ridge that hinders accessibility to the edges of the phone using finger without an S Pen
#24, for those who chose it like me. I recommend it if you want a good protector with a good price, and plan to use the S pen. Otherwise, do know that the hinge protector has strong magnets that messes up inner screen's sensitivity with the S pen.
??? So You Recommend it? Why? You said, it messes up the inner screen's sensitivity wih S pen. I am so confused. I'm an Artist, I will use s pen a lot. so this case still good for me? Sorry my english is not good.
@@playbunny99no he didn’t he wanted to warn people about that 24 case and he mean don’t buy that case it got strong magnets and it will disturb spen sensitivity
@@playbunny99 sorry for late reply, pal. I don't think yt notified of your reply. If you still need to know, then no I don't recommend it. I recall it was pretty annoying.
surprising you didn't talk about the flex on the edges on the first samsung case. I have had that thing pop off while opening it. I typically find that I have to switch cases based off of if I am working or off work. Having to switch cases sucks because all these new cases are assuming you are only using one case, with the use of adhesives to keep it secure to the phone. I am afraid for all cases, if you drop your phone on those side angles. But thank you for showing such a variety! Feedback would be, if you had the price pop up for each phone case, because in the end, that will be what makes someone get one over the other also. I went with the i-blason case before the video and glad i did! Thank you much!
Thank you for this video. Very detailed and very helpful, I appreciated that you tried out all the features. I wish you had some sort of affiliated link with the stuff you review.
Thank you for your support Jhoan , all the Amazon links are affiliate links. At the end of the video I tell everyone that I earn from people using those links.
I was waiting for this video because I was debating getting the Samsung case with the grip on it. I've kinda stuck to official Samsung cases lately as they are most screen protector friendly with the front case portion. I used to use spigen cases a lot but they wouldn't really support the whitestone done screen protector. Glad you're showing these cases with a glass protector on your phone. Makes a difference in the review.
I have pretty much limited myself to only buying cases for this phone that have hinge protection. This phone is too expensive to not have hinge protection, AND, the hinge protectors do a great job of keeping the case on the phone!
Thank you for all your work making this very helpful video. I got the red iBlason armor box for mine and I really like it. One thing I noticed is how easy yours started to charge with this case on it. Mine has a hard time finding the sweet spot. That makes me wonder what charger you're using here? Thanks again for the video!
On the Spigen Slim Armor Pro, it's definitely a great case. I had it for the Fold 2. It stops dust getting into the big screen too. I have a fold 4 now with the note case and I always notice dust on the big screen when taking out of the pocket. One other thing to note with the Spigen case... I had it for 18 months on the Fold 2 and when I took it off to sell it, the hinge had loads of scuffs and scratches. I think the hinge cover scrapes the fold hinge here.
Great video, what I suggest to test also is if it's possible to slide our big finger from the edge of the front screen, not possible anymore depends on the case, very annoying issue when the raised edge is too high.
I wish I had seen this video before buying a case. I bought almost all of the Samsung cases and they all had a very flimsy cover, it has snapped almost every time had bought a case this video was a life saver and know I have a good case
I know no one says it enough but I really appreciate these videos, you do a great job reviewing and showing the best cases before we buy!

you should also look at how the cases affect the functionality of the phone, not just the protection and aesthetics. e.g. the Spigen Tough Armor Case, which to me personally is the worst, because of the raised (too high) and thick ridge that hinders accessibility to the edges of the phone using finger without an S Pen
man you are absolutely amazing words aren't enough to express how amazing you are
Very nicely done and informative.
Great job, thanks
He recommended it, and then spoke poorly against it. He did both.
@@playbunny99 sorry for late reply, pal.
I don't think yt notified of your reply. If you still need to know, then no I don't recommend it. I recall it was pretty annoying.
Guys, i guess I meant to say "and plan to rarely use the s pen" 😅
This video was very helpful, THANK YOU!! 👌👍
Appreciate your efforts!
Thank you just ordered the armor case for my Z four and Flip 4
Incredible video thank you I subscribed
Thanks :)🙂
surprising you didn't talk about the flex on the edges on the first samsung case.
Thank you for your support, I will add pricing from now on. It’s always good to get feedback from my viewers!
great job on this thanks for posting 🔥🔥👍
Some/many of the non Samsung cases are beyond screen protector friendly. They have built in screen protectors.
I have pretty much limited myself to only buying cases for this phone that have hinge protection. This phone is too expensive to not have hinge protection, AND, the hinge protectors do a great job of keeping the case on the phone!
Amazing. I'll subscribe just because you are amazing
Just picked up a Fold 4 the other day (replacing my S9 with a wallet case) THANK YOU FOR SHOWING A WALLET CASE for the Fold 4!!!!
I been deciding on a few cases but guys once i seen #17 i was blown away has everything for me now i dont have to buy more then one case 💘💘💘
This was very helpful
Thank you so much for your careful testing and publishing!
Wow... new subscriber! Great content
Awesome video. Thanks for the effort
Thanks for your video
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU 😊 🙏🙏
On the Spigen Slim Armor Pro, it's definitely a great case.
What is the color of your fold if I may ask?
thanks for the heads up. I was considering the spigen but am worried about the scratches. what do you use for the fold 4 now?
@@michaelsison5097 it was the purple one
@GH0STST4RSCR34M sorry it was the Bronzey one 😅 tbf it was in the case the whole time...
Can u tell me if i can stick a ring holder at the back?
Nice job 👍🙂🔥
Great video, what I suggest to test also is if it's possible to slide our big finger from the edge of the front screen, not possible anymore depends on the case, very annoying issue when the raised edge is too high.
You sir have earned yoursself a new subscriber
Hats off to you Sir!
Very good review and very pleasant voice.
For the armor box I blason case, did you take off the tempered glass screen protector for the front cover?
I wish I had seen this video before buying a case. I bought almost all of the Samsung cases and they all had a very flimsy cover, it has snapped almost every time had bought a case this video was a life saver and know I have a good case
Awesome work. Thank you.
I have one suggestion, provide your own rating so it helps viewers to choose the best one
Thank you for your support and feedback, I’ll work on that.
@@HighTechCheck I need a sleek, kickstand and hinge protector case. Do you have any recommendation pls?
