This is literally the game I've dreamed about since I first played Destruction Derby: Raw on my PS1 way back when. Thank you Bugbear Entertainment for making my dream a reality.
Well, creator this game was created by another creator but yes it looks similar, but you do very good driving in your games but i dont like rigde racers game i only like demolition races like wreckfest and flatout
This game is right up my alley. Bugbear, I'm glad to see you're still interested in making these games. Just a recommendation though... you could include more racing styles such as trailer racing (every car pulls a trailer and the last person with a trailer wins), school bus racing, and other events like that. They are a TON of fun and with your game engine, would be an incredible gaming experience.
This is the game the original Destruction Derby wanted to be. I would personally invest in the development of this game if necessary - 0% interest. But since it is already greenlit on Steam, I'm glad that all I have to do now is pre-order.
Haha :) I still can't forget playing Flatout 1 with my cousins. & 2 with my college friends.& what an awesome Soundtrack Flatout 2 featured. You guys are awesome. Love from India.
So under-rated!! Flatout is my favourite and probably the best racing game I've ever played! I've spent countless ours on and offline! This game needs more advertising!!
Different tools for different purposes. We admire the BeamNG simulation for its accuracy. For game purposes, with a dozen cars colliding with each other and the dynamic world, we need something that performs better. As it happens, our simulation works from the same basis as BeamNG (soft body), just with less accuracy. There's also the consideration that our cars can't be undriveable after a single hit... We're still working on it, regardless.
I have seriously been waiting for a racing game like this since I was like, 8? I'm 18 not so 10 years! Basically my whole life as a gamer! I bought the early access on Steam (Digital Deluxe Edition) and I absolutely love it! I play it every day! I've always wanted to see this level of damage and destruction in a game! It's just perfect! Even in pre-alpha I can tell this is going to be the greatest racing game ever made! FlatOut 2 on PS2 was my favorite racing game of that generation and I'm glad to see you guys making a game of that style but even better with new technology! The soft body physics are simply amazing! My first crash in the Sneak Peak 2.0 had me speechless! I am very much looking forward to the coming updates and all the new content! Thank you so much Bugbear!
I'm glad i did preorder back then. It's one of my favourite games. And the Steam Workshop makes it even better. Like the Destruction Derby 2 car and track pack. Amazing.
It's not FlatOut, but it's how we would make a game like the first FlatOut now. You could think of it as a reboot or remake. There is racing in addition to derbies; the video includes lots of footage from races.
Godspeed to you, Bugbear. Flatout 2 is still the best arcade racer I've ever played, and I'd really like more of it. I LOVE the idea of customizing your own car to the smallest detail, but even if you could just provide "more of the same", it'd be good enough for me.
I've been waiting for this! I've got enough of these Gran Turismos, (new) Need For Speeds and other clean racing games that have been in spotlight few last years. Finally we're talking about destruction derby.
Just astonishing. Ever since the first Flatout I've been waiting for the similar rally experience. But no other game has captured the true essence what I admired in the first Flatout. In my opinion where you guys made mistake with Flatout 2 is that you took it to more urban environment, and Im not even going to start what went wrong with Ultimate Carnage. That Being said, I'm looking forward to this game very much! Rahat pistetty likoon, aivan mahtavaa työtä Bugbear! :)
I hope it will have the great Force Feedback from the first two Flatouts. Combined with this damage and car physics, this will be the best Crashing game ever made!
1. Allow me to easily build my own stunt tracks with jumps, loops, corkscrews, and pipes. Its OK if the stunt track is basic concrete with no scenery. 2. Allow me to rewind the game at any time so I can fix a mistake (yes, Forza has spoiled me). 3. Make the car "upgrade" shop very hands-on. I want to have to screw/unscrew bolts with my mouse, put in the engine and hook up connections, Do weird things like allow me to put a V10 in a mini cooper or a rocket engine on the roof. Then I'd buy it.
All of this has been or is on the table. The first one is a bit hard... you need a certain amount of damage simulation and effects going on for the hits to feel good, and that places a limit on how many cars we can have. Still working on it, though!
I'd love to see driving backwards be viable in this game, as trying to reverse in a derby in some other games does more harm than good. I'll be preordering as soon as a computer upgrade will allow.
It probably be there but they will need to go through the Greenlight system because it is their first time dealing with Valve unlike previous games where their publisher do that for them.
Yes, I realize - given the realism of the crashes - it could be hard to pull of, even on the today's machines. I will keep my fingers crossed! Just imagine the amount of carnage that many cars would generate. Also dont forget about flying drivers and METAL music :D
People love customization. Make sure you add a ton of parts that we are able to purchase. Everything from stock, to aggressive, to outrageous. People have spent countless house in games like Need for speed underground just to make their cars look how they want them to look. Give us the option to change the stock steelie wheels to beadlocked off road tires. Cut wholes in the hood or just allow us to plain out remove it. The larger the customization the more people you will draw in
OH and engine sounds are pretty important. if I choose to put exhaust pipes straight through the hood, instead of choosing a full exhaust system it should sound like it! oil leaks should be possible, a lot of engines can run without oil(not for long, but still) It would be cool to finish a race when the cars on it's last leg.(misfiring, leak fluid everywhere, transmission grinding) rockstar annoyed me when I put open headers on the ratloader and it sounded quiet. It would be cool if we could put louder exhaust systems on the cars. Like open headers for example.
Sad you guys didn't get to make the game you wanted to. Really wish the funding would have come in. Your vision and direction for the game was far superior to that of THQ.
RBR on vielä nykyäänkin yllättävän suosittu. Ainoa sitä hengissä pitänyt asia on oikeastaan modattavuus. Eihän se alunperin fysiikoiltaan ollut mikään ökyrealistinen. Eli hyvällä enginellä (teillä epäilemättä se on hanskassa) ja hyvällä modattavuudella uskoisin yleisön piisaavan. Kokeilkaa tarjota steamlight:ssa tms. josta saisi vähän käsitystä. Itse ainakin tulen kannattamaan
THAT would have actually made me consider buying a PS4. I sold my PS3 after being frustrated with how bad GT5 and Driver:SF were. Even Driv3r and GT3 were more fun than the PS3 successors. I doubt this game was actually pitched as Destruction Derby though, because that series has absolutely no mainstream name recognition anymore. Ask anyone under 18, who didn't have an older brother like me playing it religiously. The series is considered a failure from a business perspective. Otherwise I agree.
While you actually read comments, please consider 3 things in the development of the game: 1. Moar demolition derby contestants. Think 20, just like in good, old Destruction Derby 2. Moar jumps, moar ridiculous jumps. Think Chalk Canyon 3. A commentator. But that's just a thought, Codemasters did him entirely cheesy and annoying.
This looks sooooo sweet... but I have a mac. YES, I KNOW. But it would be REALLY great if you made this for mac directly, so we don't have to wait a year or two so its outdated when we can finally play it. Thats what happened with Flatout 2. Which is, by the way, a great game. Love your work, keep it up! P.S.: I Greenlit you on Steam!
I hope me will hear, here that is necessary for game: Replacement of disks and choice of color of the car! The number of cars too could be increased. It would be healthy if returned winter routes, in 2 parts of game they didn't suffice to me.
SO FREAKYNG AWESOME, i can't wait for this game, i love the improved car deformation of this video, this is going to be a very nice game, but please i wanna see sport cars :D love you bugbear
Bring this to Steam with decent demo or beta build prior to release, plus market friendly pre-order price; then you guys are going to make a tidy profit!
This is literally the game I've dreamed about since I first played Destruction Derby: Raw on my PS1 way back when. Thank you Bugbear Entertainment for making my dream a reality.
Mitchell Denham really that was my first demo derby game to
That was my childhood game i would play for hours
We love Burnout, I do hope we get another one day. (Burnout 3 is my personal all-time favorite game.) Plenty of room for both!
Well, creator this game was created by another creator but yes it looks similar, but you do very good driving in your games but i dont like rigde racers game i only like demolition races like wreckfest and flatout
i m talking about burnout 3 takedown
We can't wait to share it with you guys!
I have purchased werkfest mobile l update of the and fix😊

Still play Ultimate Carnage. It's fun level is unmatched. I'm ready to play this game :)
This game needs more advertising!!
i love the Street Rod inspiration, SR and SR2 was my favorite games when i played on my 486 back in the days
Made my day... I am still playing Flat Out 2!
You play also online?
I can't wait for this. I'm craving another Destruction Derby 2 game and I hope this delivers. (Too bad I can't get the old DD2 game to work >< )

Mad props for sticking with you're vision and not caving to the pubs
I'm glad i did preorder back then. It's one of my favourite games. And the Steam Workshop makes it even better. Like the Destruction Derby 2 car and track pack. Amazing.
Thanks! I found a guy selling them on the street in San Francisco some years ago, he had designed and printed them himself.
It's not FlatOut, but it's how we would make a game like the first FlatOut now. You could think of it as a reboot or remake. There is racing in addition to derbies; the video includes lots of footage from races.
I remember buying Flatout 2 on my PS2 a week after its release. I still play it from time to time and it never gets boring. Can't wait for this! >.
I hope that you guys bring back the winter tracks. There were awesome!!
Godspeed to you, Bugbear. Flatout 2 is still the best arcade racer I've ever played, and I'd really like more of it. I LOVE the idea of customizing your own car to the smallest detail, but even if you could just provide "more of the same", it'd be good enough for me.
American muscle cars & awesome rock music !! That's all i love !!!
FlatOut? BRING IT ON!!! One of the best racing games i have ever played since 90-s...
I've been waiting for this! I've got enough of these Gran Turismos, (new) Need For Speeds and other clean racing games that have been in spotlight few last years. Finally we're talking about destruction derby.
I bloody LOVED Flatout! Would be all over this!
Just astonishing. Ever since the first Flatout I've been waiting for the similar rally experience. But no other game has captured the true essence what I admired in the first Flatout. Rahat pistetty likoon, aivan mahtavaa työtä Bugbear! :)
Put the RUclips version on your website, that way you get way more exposure and can get the attention of way more fans ;)
We have evolved considerably since FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage, though. The physics core and some of the rendering are the same.
That's great news! Mod support would certainly increase the life length of the game.
I hope it will have the great Force Feedback from the first two Flatouts. Combined with this damage and car physics, this will be the best Crashing game ever made!

Preordered. I'm doing my best to spread the word about this. It looks awesome.
Planning on mod support, yes. Don't know how it's going to work yet.
I'd love to see driving backwards be viable in this game, as trying to reverse in a derby in some other games does more harm than good. I'll be preordering as soon as a computer upgrade will allow.
Gotta love that Soundtrack
GOOD GAME, BUY SOON VRAMENI

Preordered :) love the flat out games
Will the content that has recently been shown on preorder the car at the end will this be avalible to those who preorderd thru steam

Is it for the Mac as well? I mean, I love it, but I'm obviously not going to pay if it won't be for the Mac.
There are no preset damage models. It's all dynamic.
Sad you guys didn't get to make the game you wanted to. Really wish the funding would have come in. Your vision and direction for the game was far superior to that of THQ.
Can't wait to beat you guys online ;) If I don't remember too wrong, some of you from Bugbear raced againts us when FO2 came out?
what about the mini games like bowling and that stuff. i mean that was a lot of fun too
It's going to be amazing. It will be the best racing game ever! :D

It's just a pre-alpha footage but this looks already very cool.
BUGBEAR to FlatOut used to create Video Game - Autodesk 3d Max + UDK ENGINE+Adobe Photoshop CC
40.000 views and still not 10.000 pre-orders :(
THAT would have actually made me consider buying a PS4. I sold my PS3 after being frustrated with how bad GT5 and Driver:SF were. Even Driv3r and GT3 were more fun than the PS3 successors.

No, it needs you guys talking about the game! We're going to live or die on the community's strength.
Pre-ordered!
so it will not appoint Flatout but "Next Car Game"? im still exited for new flatout game :)
They did today, go and vote for it!!!
I love you guys, really can't wait to get my hands on that one.

P.S.: I Greenlit you on Steam!
That looks nice, but is it really a new Flatout game? Or just a derby simulator?
Oh yeah! Bring it to the PS4! I'd buy it!
Oculus VR support would be awesome
the on-line mode is going to be cool
You can, you don't need paypal account to pay with credit card.
I'm really happy that there are developers like you guys , screw publishers.
I hope me will hear, here that is necessary for game: Replacement of disks and choice of color of the car! The number of cars too could be increased. It would be healthy if returned winter routes, in 2 parts of game they didn't suffice to me.
Especially considering the fact that it was Empire's downfall that took Flatout out of Bugbear's hands and into Team6's.
SO FREAKYNG AWESOME, i can't wait for this game, i love the improved car deformation of this video, this is going to be a very nice game, but please i wanna see sport cars :D love you bugbear
I'm gonna pre-order it as soon as I buy a new computer! (and that's very soon! :D)
Is it coming out for PS3 & 360, PS4 & Xbox 1 or all 4?
Already playing with wheels (and controllers, and keyboards).
Best game of next Gen!

Next car game is great so far, enough said
I noticed this hadn't been asked yet; will the game have mod support?
There is a market for this. I'm just waiting for more content and development before I pre-order.
I hope there won't be premade damage models, instead a real damage simulation
Tätä on odotettu Flatout ykkösestä lähtien. Hyvältä näyttää!
Bring this to Steam with decent demo or beta build prior to release, plus market friendly pre-order price; then you guys are going to make a tidy profit!
Too many particles!!! Love it
