Cleavland Should be on the schedule, Problem is When CART went under and Indy car took over, Thanks
(Tony George) He forgot what made Champ Car the Greatest Series in Racing, To be a champion in CART you had to be able to Master the Verity of Tracks offered, Street, Road Courses, Ovals and yes Airports, Problem was Tony George Owned indianapolis and in 1995 Started Hating because he was trying to cement his idea for Indy Car, At first the Major Teams resisted and he would schedule the 500 when CART Teams wouldn't be available to compete, That's why Indy Series was so weak to begin with and only had Ovals on there schedule, Over time the Major Teams relented to the appeal of one Race the Indianapolis 500 and CART lost it's foot hold in Racing and slowly sank to oblivion.. One Family's Power and the Draw of the 500 ended the Greatest Racing Series I ever had the Pleasure to watch.. After CART went defuct he quietly and slowly changed gears and tried to absorb the same schedule CART ran , He strong armed the teams and the Sponsors so his vision could play out, His Ego and Greed is to blame, Indy car sucks for the most part these days, But Once It was The Greatest Racing Series Ever..
What other series in Racing had the Juice to literally shut down an Airport to hold an event? Some say F1 is where it's at, but not for me.. CART ALL DAY..

Pupo Moreno, what a driver he was. At 41, driving with such consistency and at that level!
He had a lot of talent. He was really messed around in F1 - he was on Piquet’s pace more often than not in 1991, and then had his career pretty much terminated to make way for Michael Schumacher (a good driver move by Benetton, but they didn’t make any provision for Roberto or help to safeguard his future), and then was punted out of Jordan to make way for Alex Zanardi. Finishing his career with Andrea Moda and Forti was far less than he deserved.
If IndyCar came back to Cleveland with engines that sounded like that, I’d be the happiest man in the world
Reviewing some old races, cleveland, the racing here, outstanding, put this event back on the calendar. I for one would go out of my way to watch it.

IndyCar really needs to return to Cleveland someday! I would also love to see the ESPN2 simulcast of the 1995 Molson Indy Vancouver race where they only used onboard camera feeds. Plus, the drivers who finished 1-2 in this race both started the Indy 500 the year before.

Matheus Barros the old surfers track has a tram running down half of it nowadays. The northern part of the track is used for v8 supercar series.

I used to love watching CART around this track, the racing was always great, (and turn 1, lap 1 was always good for drama!) but for the life of me i couldn't remember where it was!. Now I know. I think modern Indycar around here would be really interesting.

A doubleheader weekend with IndyCar and Nascar would be great on a track like this!! I would come for that race!! Indy goes this direction and Nascar can go the opposite way. I think it would be fun to see.
