i just pulled the side cover off and the pickup coil little plate that goes on with the screws looks like someone must have put it on upside down ,it is bent flat with shinny scrape marks ,would this make it miss and back fire , i just bought it not running 2005 kfx 700 are they an adjustment on this if i can find a good one / new one ? ~ thanks for your reply
Not likely unless the magnet or the wires/coil is damaged. The mounting plate wouldn't affect anything. Look up the resistance spec in the service manual and test it to be sure.
Hi,i'm trying to put my regulater cover back on to my KLX250cc M2 1999 ,it is electric start and am problems linning up the starter pins/ gears. i got it on and when tried to push start it just locks up.what do i do? thanks mark
I owned a klr650 2008 .it seem problem at charging system.I tested with the tester meter and reading only at max 12.9...and it wouldnt increase even the rpm goes higher .something wrong with the charging coil?? as the rectifier is brandnew
Hi i am setting up my 95 Kawasaki 500 ninja stater coil but it has 2 set of wire 3 yellow and the other has a yellow & a black i just cannot find where the connection goes for the set with the yellow & black
Hard to say for sure. Since it happens when wet, it is most likely an electrical issue. I would check your ECM or CDI box, ignition coil(s), and make sure all connectors are tight and have dielectric grease.

My 650 versus lose power every time when it gets wet.what can the problem be and what can i do about it.its a 2006 modle
