One of the best dates I ever ate was at Bautista dates farm in mecca city California,they were fresh and still hot cuz the just got harvested ,it was Aug23.2019 ,I ate a whole pound of dayes. Then I ordered 12 pounds when i got back in MD. Couldn't help myself against it .lol

Probably none. Ants can be a problem on low hanging fruit, fruit fly is kept out by tight woven bags, and that's about it. Seriously, nothing to worry about.
Fresh dates are pretty dense bugs would probly rarely eat them or lay eggs. They like laying eggs in very soft fruits

Recognized as a superior variety for three hundred years in the oases of Algeria and other North African countries, ‘Deglet Noor’ is now one of the most significant cultivars in California and worldwide. Any dates have been produced out of these countries ( Saudi Arabia- Iraq - UAE - Kuwait ) don’t eat it because it’s not as delicious as the homeland of the date Palm in the world

Tomatoes are from Mexico, but the Italians are known best for tomato sauce, chocolate is from the new world, but Europe is known for the best chocolate in the world.
