Shame for Brian, his dream for #5 is all but over. What a competitor though, I hope tomorrow he can go out and enjoy his last WSM day. He’s done so much for the sport, and deserved a great last dance. ❤
Hopefully at least a podium
The sportsmanship was there until the very end
@@abeb.7578far removed from podium now. Maybe 5th best chance.
No its over lol
Go out and be Great!
Brian Shaw is an inspiration to so many in the sport and he transcends all sports. What’s more, he’s just a great human being. Win or lose, he went out on his shield. Living legend.
Absolutely 👍
Totally agree!
Yep! Brian seems like a genuinely really nice bloke.
@@jakey4683 i remember mike jenkins
@@jakey4683 what does that have to do with anything?
Me hitting refresh on RUclips waiting for Eddie’s daily event coverage and over 3000 people are already here! Goes to show how we all love Mr Ed’s updates! 💪🏻
Hit the bell
Oh yeah!! 🤦🏻♂️😂 ‘tis done!
@@-Erebus ding ding ding ding ding ding
Same😂🤣
Wish that 5th finger would have went for Brian..
I’m hoping they give Brian a special honor at the end for how much he has contributed and grown this sport. The will is strong but sometimes the body won’t listen to your will. It’s a shame but we all have it happen to some degree. Love to Brian a great man great husband/father great athlete and a great example to all of us.
Brian is all around the greatest. None of these guys can compare to Brian. A legend. Most of them will go down as a One Year wonder.
That hurts my heart for Brian. Its not over yet but he would have to absolutely dominate the rest of the competition but im not sure if he would have enough points now. I so wanted to see him hit number 5❤
As much as I wanted to see number 5... it's over for him with the results of day 1
Yep I really wanted Brian to get number 5 but it's not going to happen realistically......gutted for him
Mate doesnt matter wat brian pulls off... insane legend. I hope for podium. This man has done so much. Not at the top top anymore but a winner notheless in my books!!
@@uxenve absolutely agree he is an absolute legend in my eyes 15 straight WSM finals.......
It’s unfortunate, but considering Brian could have legitimately had his leg amputated just a few months ago, this has still be one hell of a performance from him. Brian is the man!
I came here in person to watch Brian compete. And yes, he may not win but still it has been freaking awesome to watch him compete in his last WSM and know he is still top 10 best in the world at his age.🐐 he could probably make the finals all the way up to 45 years old.
on to armwrestling now tho, amiright? :)) Levan, lookout..
I love Brian but Big Z is the goat
@@aaronnordstrom788 I respect that but Brian is my GOAT. He is a great ambassador for strongman here in the states
My heart was ripped out when that last finger went back into his shoulder
@@seekthe9 hope so
I seriously can’t get enough of Eddie with the little Brian Shaw 😂
I had hoped Brian could win his 5th but now he will be lucky to finish top 3. He still a living legend though one of if not the greatest strongman of all time
BIG congratulations to Matt Rigg doing it for NZ Much love and respect from New Zealand brother
Thanks for this coverage @Eddiehallwsm absolute brilliant. Need this on tv such a shame no tv show has picked it up yet. Hope Tom wins this 🔴⚪🔵🏴🇬🇧
I know it's an absolute joke we can't watch it until Christmas time. .
And last year I followed all the coverage as we are right now , come Christmas time it's so irrelevant I didn't even get round to watching it.
We want live coverage.
It's crazy, both Rogue and the Shaw Classic put WSM to shame and I think both have only been going a few years. WSM is meant to be the premier Strongman competition and hasn't figured out live internet streaming yet.
@@fuzzylogiceire yeah they def need to rework their tv deal with I think Its CBS, if they could work it to have live coverage it'd be so much more exciting and honestly a much bigger thing. Especially as the world of strength sports has grown so much with social media and such it only makes sense to provide live coverage.
WSM should be ashamed how badly they run this thing. All of these channels getting a lot of views WSM should be getting.
Shaw is legendary. I think the big man is going to do good in the future.
The masters division for strongman is done for XD
@@cuzminthelord I don’t think Brian will ever compete in masters
Hopefully he gets onto arm wrestling.
@@dustinaune675 Doubtful
Maybe he will be an announcer like Bill Kazmier.
Kudos to Brian. He just got over a very serious illness and came over to compete. This shows the love of the sport and he truly is a legend. Would love to see him at least on the podium for one last time. He is an inspiration to many people. 💪💪
And has brought alot of attention to the sport. He Will continue to do so. He wants to give back to help the strongmen earn a bigger pay check.
the infection was in january.
Thanks Eddie bringing in the news. Next year there has to at least be a live stream. Eddie and Brian to host.
Oh hell yeah! I would totally watch that! Such great coverage by Beast, but then having Brian with him as well would be legendary. Especially with their babies 😎
Jeez!!...finally Eddie you posted!! I have been refraining from looking anywhere else!!
Jaco Schoonwinkel is a beast. Even if he is dropping down in the finals. Super proud of my countryman. Would love to hear you give him a quick interview Eddie!
Just a mess up on the shield carry probably would have killed it definitely a bright future
Some really good summaries here from Eddie. Along with Big Loz, providing a real service to the community. I will only get to see the event when it is on TV around Christmas, but of course want to know how things went now.
Shame for Brian. I hope he can come out tomorrow and really take in wsm and just enjoy doing what he has loved all those years. I will make sure to enjoy one of the greats compete in the last 3 events. End of an era
Eddie!!! You’re the man for this!! I can’t believe they don’t have you hosting some sort of wsm live show. Thank you
These updates are gold Eddie. Really appreciated. Bless up bro 👊
Thank you so much for the updates Eddie big love my man.
Lets go been waiting on this all day 💪👍
Man, that performance by Brian on the fingers was heart breaking. He was flying all the way until that last one. Had he won that event, he would have still been in contention.
Effing gutted for Brian on this one
Been waiting! Thanks the beast!
Man, I was hoping Brian would be doing better. Eddie, awesome commentating. I've been checking all day for your updates.
Thanks again for the updates !
Too bad for Brian, hopefully he has an explosive day tomorrow. Definitely cheering on Luke Stoltman at this point!
Great coverage, thank you for the speedy uploads
Thanks for the support ❤, I got you something DM me on the above user for more information..
Awesome again! Thanks for the update.
Damn. Poor Brian. I was really pulling for him to come out in higher standings and crush these events so he'd have a shot tow in his 5th title. Even though it looks highly unlikely to happen now, he competed his ass off and has a lot to be proud of. Well done, Brian! I look forward to seeing what's next for him.
Same was pulling for Brian really hoped for the 5th
Not suprised I knew there's no 5th for Shaw and never will. Guys are much faster and fitter nowadays.
@@Gazzi79 strongman hasn't been about strength as much as agility as of late, so it was obvious Brian wouldn't get another win again.
@smcp8851 that's true but there's no doubt that Brian literally is the strongest man in this competition, as far as static lifts.
@@Iamonepercent it's a shame, I wish it would be based more on static lifts he would be able to pretty easily win I feel
Eddie is doing a tremendous amount to galvanize interest in this sport kudos!
Was really hoping for Brian to take this home but really glad Hooper & Novikov are up there doing their thing!!!
Amazing coverage and explanations Eddie you're the Best Beast of all
Thanks for your coverage! It's a shame they don't post live like some of the other events. These athletes need more coverage!
Unfortunately it always comes down to finances. We forget that strongman is still very niche compared to other sports that are broadcast.
@@georgef822 Rogue Strongman events, the Arnold Strongman and the Shaw Classic all have live streams. WSM is the most important competition of them all so there's no excuse really.
Tom made a mistake in underestimating Hooper & dropping it he should’ve continued I hope it doesn’t bite him in the end especially if it’s by 1 point
Actually that mistake costed him 2 points. Cuz he would have had +1 and his rival -1. I also hope it doesn't bite him in the end :(
Yes very silly mistake to make at this level. Hope he wins it but that will forever haunt him if he doesn’t. Silly boy
New era is here. Moose, Pavlo, Oleksi, Stoltman, Trey. This is going to be spicy.
You are doing an excellent job at presenting this year.
Ai I wish Brain can get atleast a spot on the podium
Showing a lot of growth here man. Your way to discuss your unhappiness with the call on Pavlo is miles away from what you would have said only a few years ago. Cheers.
Thanks for the support ❤, I got you something DM me on the above user for more information
thanks for the updates!
Great recap! Sounds like an exciting final!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I don't think we should feel anything negative about Brian's performance. Even with things not panning out for an overall victory, he's still making history and showing us how impressive he is. 41 years old, making the final after a massive stone-off (11! Big up Rauno), still able to put up numbers competitive with the top ten in the world. Nobody beats time, and everyone learns that eventually, but he has give us almost two decades of excitement. If anything I am looking forward to see him finish out his competition career and move forward with other aspects of the sport and other sports. One end, one beginning.
Well said.
Hope Tom can get atleast 2nd or 3rd on the dumbbell, he can get 1st or 2nd in bus pull, then 1st in stones. He could get his 3rd in a row! Rooting for Tom here in Michigan 💪🏼
Tom's had 4 podiums in 4 years came second in 2020, stong laddie Tom
I'm gutted for Brian., BUT...... He is 41 years old, and he is still one of the top 5-6 strongest men in the world. That itself is a high note to retire on. IMO, he is the greatest
And _this_ is exactly what I lot of people don't get, of the ones I see negatively commenting on his performance. It's insane to think he'd do as good now in his 40s as he did back in his prime. However, even at his age his performance is _well fucking beyond_ the vast majority of humans on this planet. Any men watching this comfortably eating some Sneakers on their couch should STFU or go to the gym and give it a try themselves. I'll defend Brian and any athlete past their primes performing like this. He's still in better shape and more capable than a lot of arrogant kids in their 20s and 30s.
Similar situation with Luke Stoltman, absolute machine, same with Mark Felix; to me they are the true inspirations.
@@lyrand6408 eating sneakers on my couch would not be my definition of comfortable, fair play to anyone eating shoes just casually
I have a feeling that shield drop from Tom is going to come back and bite him
Very nice, I actually like that you put all these events into 1 video but I hated the wait lol
Prime Shaw would’ve had a field day with these events but sadly he’s not the force he once was. Still a legend regardless 👏
Hooper, Trey, Novikov, Tom. WOW! So close and all are so good! 🙂👍 Can’t wait for tomorrows update! Goodluck to all!
bless you eddie for these videos
Thanks for the support ❤, I got you something DM me on the above user for more information
Its not over until its over brian!! Your the goat!!
Thank you for the coverage.
Bring it home big Tommy! Hope the shield drop and missing out on that 7th rep on the deadlift doesn't come back to bite him!
It 100% will unfortunately 😢
You’re awesome, thanks for the updates Little Eddie…. 😂❤
Thanks for the support ❤, I got you something DM me on the above user for more information..
Wow... sounds like an amazing final 👏. Really hoping Tom Stotlmans error in the sheild carry doesn't lose him the title this year 🙏. Sounds like every point counts here. COME ON TOM 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I was there! Great time, trying my hardest to get a pic of everyone lol.
Its awesome getting to see what is happening!
Cheers Eddie (BEAST) For the video results 👍💪💪
Great coverage 😎👊🏼
Eddie ! You and Brian crack me up ! What a Bromance x
The hat on little Brian killed me 🤣🤣
Eddy Great commentary about taking ownership of not making the turn properly. That sucks for Pav. It really is harsh but we need these rules for you beasts to compete on an even field.
Tom bringing it home for x3 in a row🏴
enjoyed that Edd thanks, get yourself sclipboard mate
Brian ☹️
4 wins is AMAZING, Brian! He's such a wonderful guy.
Thankyou eddie for great coverage
Number 1 fitness youtuber Coach Greg. Thanks Coach.
loling at Eddies predictions hahaha
Brian: 14,5 + 10 + 10 + 10 = 44,5
Hooper: 25 + 7 + 7 + 6 = 45
Novikov: 24,5 + 7 + 7 + 6,5 = 45
Tom: 24 + 7 + 7 + 7 = 45
unfortunately no chance of the 5th title
Brian has never really been right since his hamstring injuries but man he is a legend.
Thanks for the support ❤, I got you something DM me on the above user for more information
Man I wish licis was competing this year. He would be right there with the top guys causing problems.
He prefers to be a RUclipsr
Did he retire? I was wondering why he wasn't in this year. He probably could've won
@@Josh_D03 took the year off. I think he is hoping not competing as much will extend his strongman career to a degree.
What a shame for Pavlo, they should have standardized penalties for situations like that. 5-10m or whatever if you're within x feet of the line, not a full 20m run.
Great job again
Poor Brian, was hoping he'd nab his 5th. No doubt that leg injury set him back. And I suppose age is catching up with him like Felix. The fingers result was especially surprising, even with a mistake dropping that 5th I wouldn't have thought he couldn't get it back up. Hopefully he can just take tomorrow in enjoy the atmosphere and make a core memory. Then it's time for a well deserved break to enjoy the spoils of his career and spend time with his family. Would love to see joint coverage by Brian and Eddie next year.
Brian knew when his time was over in this sport. He will always be a great athlete and well accomplished. He has done a lot for the sport and look forward to seeing him stay involved in some way other than a competitor.
He has dedicated every day of his life to the sport for years. I think he is feeling a little lost now on what to do next. Imagine waking up in the morning and not having to train. Such a shock. I am sure he will still train but not needing to train will be a hard adjustment.
The Papersheet is already legendary 😂💪
Mitch seems to have 100% every event hes such a machine
6th in Fingers?
@@warlordmel He still completed all 5, and was only a few seconds behind. Everyone was so close placing makes it sound worse than it is. Also, still in first after 2/2 1st placements in the first events.
In person, he did 3rd in Shield. Pavlo got penalized & Tom dropped it early thinking he had the win. Mitch was barely making it to 1 step beyond Tom.
@@warlordmelRemember he's brand new, and fingers is way more technical than just outright strength, once he gets the technical side right with practice im sure hes a future wsm!
@@user-lf3wr8rh7r yeah I agree.. I was just saying he has not won everything this time.. But yeah.. He will for sure win WSM one or several times if he aims for it 👍
They should have a visible flag go up when they've crossed the line. Seems looking down at their feet while carrying a large sheild isn't so easy.
Thank you Eddie.
Think Brian was pushing to hard and when you do that sometimes you make a couple mistakes that cost you. He is not going out a champion, but will always be remember as one of the all time greats in strong man. Would love to see Brain drop a lot of weight and get healthy, so he can be around for a long time for his family.
"He is not going out a champion" … He won the event 4 times, I would consider that going out a champion.
Good to Brian. He’s pushing the next generation up. Fair play
Eddie buy a clip board buddy ;)
Absolutely gutted for Brian, but make no mistake, he's still a legend and quite possibly the best athlete in the history of strongman. He's past his peak, but he's still this good, that's crazy.
The best is Big Z, if you count titles and recorder. Yet Brian is one of the best and furthering his legend with doing so much to improve this sport for the athletes and the fans.
Damn was rooting for Brian so bad. Not that he needs to prove anything more but how sweet would it have been
Oleksi wont the truck pull last year. With that and the banker of dumbbell it could be lights out. Man is crazy good!
Praying for Brian to make something happen would be legendary to comeback and win this year
There's not a chance he can come back and win now, too much of a gap between him and the top 3.
Brian may not get his 5th WSM, but he is absolutely, without a doubt, the Strongest Man in History.
Haha no
Dumbest comment ever😅
Big Z is the GOAT. Same number of WSM and far more Arnold wins
@Jim Look at his entire career and not just in strong man. How many feats of strength and world records he has across the globe. Gotta look at the big picture.
@@RevinSOR13 Big Z has more of those as well 😭😭
Brian is my favorite hope he gets his 5th 1st place WSM TITLE that being said may the best man win.
I love Brian, I was rooting for him, I still am rooting for him and cheering him on, if nothing more to have fun, enjoy the whole event and I cannot sugar coat it, even if he does not want to feel bad for the last couple events. He is one of a kind as a person and not a lot of people can say they are the strongest man in the world, but he is four times! Does NOT matter if he looses, simply because no one has 5x, so he is still top strong man in history! And thanks to Eddie! Shame the event is not streamed, so I have to come to Eddie the Beast! Both of them are living legends!
Thanks Eddie.
Good Job!
All legends just to be in the competition hopefully Brian can get top 5
Hoping Brian can get to 4th. That would be one hell of an achievement, but that hospital stay I'm sure set him back from being on the podium.
Eddie is a World Treasure! He is just the best! He has no shame to make a bit funny he will go the distance. Prime example when Brian and Eddie screaming in the gym while working out! And now this bit with the baby carrier and shaw’s face in it! So funny!
Congrats to Mitchell Hooper, what a tournament he's had. Smashed it
You won me over with the job boxes thumbnail
Man SO much heartbreak happened today 💔 😢. They're ALL champions though .
Eddie does great hosting this.
Bummer for Brian. 4 wins out of 15 finals. A lot of training and efforts to not get a few more. What a great competitor and will go on to enjoy many new things. Congrats and 4 is not bad. Be Great
I like this style of video kinda cool 👍
