Why is Eddie's content better than the official channels? Always doing it for the fans well done beast!
It baffles me - literally - why in the year 2023, we can't get decent coverage of WSM, if it wasn't for Eddie, Big Loz, etc.

allegedly its because the company that owns the IP/copyright gets big money from governments' tourism boards to host the show in their countries. they then sell the TV rights to a shitload of countries. they make plenty money and to hell with the hardcore fans
yea.. don't understand that either. Most strongman competitors have huge followings on instagram, RUclips or other socials. Clearly, the audience is there.. clearly, people are interested.. WSM says "screw that" to that massive online audience.. waits 6-7 months.. and then releases the footage on very select and specific tv channels that aren't watchable for most of that audience.. (or are hardly worth watching, since there is a 6-7 month delay ....)
Eddie, Brian, Stoltmans, and many others have done more to put WSM on the map than WSM is doing and has ever done.. Even if the WSM heats and all the setting up of the events aren't the best format for a live show, more could still be done to put the WSM content out there to an internet audience that is clearly interested...

I can't believe Mark is STILL COMPETING. He is absolute monster.
I mean, he's there, sure. He got an invite. He's not gonna make it out of the group stage this year either, though. He never does. Not sure why they keep inviting him tbh.
@@staceygram5555 Its because of his status, something close or even a real legend, especially for his longevity and his age in strongman. He also looks very good for his age. So overall he is a good asset for promoting the strongmen competition.

Legend? I keep hearing people call him that, but he's literally never won anything. And out of the 17 times he's been invited to WSM, he's only made it out of the group stage thrice. The last time was 8 years ago, and before that was 15 years ago. Aivars is more accomplished than him. So is Singleton. And Bishop. Even Pavlo. Let alone someone like Trey or Mateusz. Are they all legends, too? At that point, who isn't? What exactly makes Mark a 'legend'? Is it just the fact that he's competing at his age? And then we just ignore the fact that he's not actually competitive?
he needs to retire he is actually too old just going to get a bad injury
@@staceygram5555 he is not competitive anymore, and he said that this is his last strongman competition. Aside form that, my points about him are still valid as he is probably the longest competitive and the oldest strongman. So this along with the fact that he is looking good for his age earned him somewhat of a legend status that Strongmen promoters used for the competition.
He has achievements, just not in the usual way - winning competitions(he is to old for that).

Thanks Eddie! Giants Live is really garbage in not figuring out a way to do this where we can watch it live. It’s 2023 you don’t have to use a network. I personally would pay for a live stream, and sure many other people would too. You already have cameras there….

The people running it are dinosaurs. You simply cant avoid the results and the show does not even air here until january, it's insanity and puts me off watching it!!
Live stream don’t even come close to tv deals. Do you seriously think they wouldn’t do it the more profitable way?

@@fanfeck2844 Imagine all the fans they potentially coulda gained from live broadcasting... Like, they might earn more from tv contracts. But the longterm goals should be to increase the interesert in the sport, which in return would increase the revenue.

This is a fantastic piece of content. Simple, straightforward, reportive, with some brief summary. I don't usually watch every video Eddie puts out but this is fantastic if this keeps going for all WSM.
There should be a stream were we can pay to watch. I'd happily pay £20 plus to watch this live
The athletes deserve every penny they get and also you guys that work to put it together

He has a world record right now in Hercules hold which he set in his mid 50’s. Legend.

Stop asking the same question every year. In the U.K. they make WSM last about a month. Do you have any idea how much that tv advertising alone would cost? Now repeat that for every other country in the world. Streaming strongman makes nothing, and most of these events are break even, if that.
Why did pa odwyer say he couldn't tell his youtube channel the results?
They will not stream but cbs picked up the rights this year but they will show it late like may or June on cbs sports
