@@metalguru85 I'm glad Im not alone. I think in terms of skill, sound, structure, composition, it is BY FAR one of the most perfect songs they have ever written. It is CRIMINALLY underrated...
This entire album was basically a tribute to the bands that influenced them growing up, hence the 80's sound. Great call out by you guys. If you want to hear a song that is heavily influenced by classic Metallica, listen to "Shepherd of Fire" from the same album. One of my favorites. Keep killing it, guys.
This album “Hail To The King” was done after Nightmare (which was the last album The Rev played on RIP) and the drummer they had was named Aarin Iljay (spelling) and he obviously did not last with the band…. Songs for nostalgic sound - BEAST & HARLOT New kick ass sound - THE STAGE Trust me fellas, these two are BANGERS!!!!
Actually, Rev passed before Nightmare was finished and Mike Portnoy did the tracks for, I know, Nightmare. Arin Iljay was only in for the Hail To The King album then Brooks Wakerman has been there since. 🤘🏼💙🤘🏼
Much as I love "newer"-ish A7X, I have to give it to their _City of Evil_ album for the quality of music. Less heavy, but more technically complex. "Beast and the Harlot" and "Blinded in Chains" are filthy, and the drumwork in "Bat Country" and "Burn it Down" is insane.
Guys check out vintersea - befallen the band is so underrated & the vocalist growling and screams are one of the most powerful i heard in metal music...
So Far Away and Gunslinger are a different side of A7X, borderline ballads. But Almost Easy would be a great next reaction. You'll not get two songs alike but think Hollywood would like their more mellow stuff. Also need to check out their early metalcore stuff at some point.
Wow this song is soooooooo good ! I love you 2 bro's and i love music, all typs of music ! I wanna hear u rapp, i wanna hear you're own songs ! Greatings from germany ❤
This song/album has a large mix of ‘80s metal & 60s/70s blues influence. A solid one to help get into the band. For their earlier work, I’d check out Bat Country, Blinded In Chains, Strength of the World, Critical Acclaim, Afterlife, Scream, Chapter Four, Eternal Rest. The list continues for this band!
Your never gonna get a little piece of heaven again from A7X!! That song was written by the Rev, RIP!! Check out Save me by them, they say that song is their masterpiece
Doin' Time off this same album sounds even more like Guns and Roses. This entire album is sort of a tribute by A7X to all the bands that have been an influence to them. Hail to the King is one of the very few albums where I like every song and can be on repeat for weeks. It's just that good.
Bro y’all got to check out “Trashed and Scattered “ from the City of Evil album. Whole album is incredible but I think y’all would really enjoy that song
Gotta check out This Means War video. It’s from this album. But honestly, you need to check out their “Live in the LBC” concert. GREAT sound, great songs, but most importantly, you get to see the Rev play drums RIP.
More an 80s iron maiden or judas priest sound vocals gun and roses ish but the Death Bat symbol is bitchen! I hope you React or reacted to CRITICAL ACCLAIM... AFTERLIFE.. ALMOST EASY or BAT COUNTRY awesome songs!! Great in concert you need too see them!!
Ya'll need to watch the making of "A little piece of Heaven" video. It'll help put everything into perspective. Prior to this album, The Rev didnt write the songs and he was kinda anxious about writing for the group. He did do writing with his other band Pinkly Smooth.
@@Nightwalk444 prior to their self titled album, the Rev didn't write "avenged sevenfold" songs. The band encouraged him to just be himself and write because he was a bit nervous.
I do like This Means War from this album, but I think it gets lots of criticism for being a Sad But True rip-off… can’t say that I disagree with that. But I still like the song! God Damn is the song. The. Song. Hahaa hope Slash is doing well down there… I mean he looks happy 😆😊
🦋It's Always A Good Day for Some A7x. Great Reaction Guys! When ''City Of Evil'' Was Released. I went & bought It the very next day. Every song Is Fire. And every Release Since Has Been Nothing Short Of Amazing. The band's name comes from a passage in the Genesis story of Cain and Abel, which reads, "But the Lord said to him, 'Therefore whomever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. '' Also ''Hail To The King'' Was The First Album Released That Doesn't Include Any Music by James "The Rev" Sullivan. And Arin Ilejay was confirmed as an official band member and his replacement. M. Shadows said in an interview, That the album would sound more blues rock-influenced and more like classic rock/metal like Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. So You Guys Are Not Wrong In Saying It Sounds More Classic Style. 🎶🎶🤘😏✌🎶🎶 RIP Rev. Never To Be Forgotten, As The Angels Cry, A Warm Rainfall Into The Night Sky. While Heavenly Rocking Sounds Pronounce Within Our Minds Eye, The Thunder Crashes An Lightning Strikes, It's Only The Rev Playing His Drums Deep Into The Night...''Amazing Art To Paint Our Silence, ''Seize The Day'' Ignite The Fuse, For An Explosive Groove, HAIL To The Eternal Heavy Sounds''
The Stage is an amazing song. Also if you're interested in seeing how A7X kills it in a live performance, I would suggest God Hates Us live at Rock Am Ring in 2011. The song is good and the lead singer absolutely KILLS the vocals.
I say that if you want more Avenged, do either 'Bat Country' or 'Beast and the Harlet.' Beast if Heaven is your favorite. Both are from the City of the Dead album where they have a little bit of a biblical inspiration.
I love ALL music...that being said, this song is one of THE best intros of any song ever. Your Betrayal by Bullet for my Valentine is tops also. Keep it up fam
There are so many great A7X songs. I highly recommend "The Stage", "So Far Away", "This Means War", "Bat Country", "Beast and the Harlot", "Buried Alive", "Almost Easy", and just so many more. ♥ Also, if y'all haven't seen Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, I HIGHLY recommend y'all check that out BEFORE reacting to Bat Country. Lol.
Great Reaction, love A7X. Shepard of Fire is a good song on this album. You should also check out The Warning. They are a band of sisters from Mexico that Rock Hard.
my god damn head snapped back when that tree branch flew off as if it actually hit me XD..... also "God Damn" is really good and if you wanna go back a few years check out "Afterlife"
Hey guys could you please do some more ANTHRAX please!! Such a great catalog. As always I suggest Indians Live from Kings among Scotland, Breathing Lightning, Suzerain, A.I.R., Intro into Reality and Belly of the Beast. Please guys, Thank you!!!
It's funny you guys bring up the sound and guns and roses me personally I don't hear it but their first main hit called bat country that has a straight up guns and roses sound to it and that was their first big hit. Trash talker for life
Damn. Speaking of 'King of Kings,' you guys should check out Manowar's 'Gods of War' album. 'King of Kings,' 'Sons of Odin,' 'Gods of War,' 'Hymn of the Immortal Warrior'... The entire album is amazing. 🤘😎🤘
The band mentioned that the album with this song was inspired by older metal groups like Iron Maiden and similar acts. You were pretty close. Sub earned.
You should react to some A7X songs like (one from each album): - "Streets", from 'Sounding the Seventh Trumpet' - "Second Heartbeat", from 'Waking the Fallen' - "M.I.A.", from 'City of Evil' - "Critical Acclaim", from 'Avenged Sevenfold' - "Buried Alive", from 'Nightmare' - "Requiem", from 'Hail to the King' - "God Damn", from 'The Stage'
Check out The Stage by Avenge sevenfold. You'll love the video. Also, check out Liberate by Disturbed. I saw avenged sevenfold open for Disturbed I would say S. Gates is like the next generation's Slash
"So Far Away" and "The Stage" are now just must listens and must watchs
The Stage is a very underrated song
And exist if they haven't already
@@metalguru85 I'm glad Im not alone. I think in terms of skill, sound, structure, composition, it is BY FAR one of the most perfect songs they have ever written. It is CRIMINALLY underrated...
Agreed, because it can take a while be OK to just watch the video for a little piece of heaven , even though that's a great song.
Gates has quickly became my top guitarists with “the stage” album
That’s why it’s called hail to the king. Paying homage to the 80’s metal
“The Stage” is a song that just needs to be experienced because it has so many different music parts. Their best song in my opinion.
The stage was okay for me but Roman Sky blows it out the water
What do you think of Life Is But A Dream?

Preach brother. City of Evil is hands down one of my favorites.
City of evil and waking the fallen are my holy grails
Burn it down .. oh man fuck yes🤘
uhm.. i always thout The Stage was their most complex album
@@aerahtv0000 it's really good. But City of Evil was the first metal album I heard so I could be very biased.
☆ Arch enemy deceiver deceiver
☆ Vintersea befallen / fiery tongue

Guys check out vintersea - befallen the band is so underrated & the vocalist growling and screams are one of the most powerful i heard in metal music...
FYI the actual song starts at 5:05, youre welcome.
Awesome reaction! The intro build up is one of the best in metal, great choice!
This song in particular sounds like if Aerosmith, Metallica, and Eddie Van Halen did a supergroup
So Far Away and Gunslinger are a different side of A7X, borderline ballads. But Almost Easy would be a great next reaction. You'll not get two songs alike but think Hollywood would like their more mellow stuff. Also need to check out their early metalcore stuff at some point.
I’m so glad you guys loved this song. It’s an absolute banger!
Arch Enemy: Deceiver Deceiver is a banger
Welcome to the club gentleman! You're listening to a genre of music that has limitless songs that will reach out and grab your ear hole!

Shadows would be flattered by the GNR comparison. He speaks all the time about how much he loves GNR and respects Axl
Vintersea plzzzzz the singer is a beast
Yes! One of the best all around rockers out there. I just love the riffs.
React to Swallow the sun enemy & woven into sorrow
Hail to the engineer who made those drums hot in the mix.
Once again just gotta say y'all are always at it with the bangers.
You gotta react to the new Arch Enemy tune - 'Deciever Deciever' Great video too!

You need to watch the “Seize the Day” video by A7X!!! I believe it’s his girlfriend, now wife, in the video.
Awesome reaction! You got a new subscriber, I suggest starvation and from the ashes by crypta,
Crack of light and beffalen by Vintersea!
Slipknot just dropped their new single
The Chapeltown Rag[Visual 001]
Ya'll would love "Buried Alive"
You should listen to vintersea another metal band with a female! Her growls and cleans are both awesome 🔥

This one of my favorite songs by anvegned sevenfold

Great song by them. Another classic by these guys is This Means War. Y'all won't be disappointed.
I thrash this song daily it never gets old ❤
love the head banging!!! Welcome to the fold!!!
Buried Alive would be another Killer Tune by A7X!!!👍🤟

Rumor has it that the “King” they are referring to is Metallic. Almost every song on this album sounds MetallicA.🤘

Just listened Frozen. 🔥 Smoke….You gotta breathe bro. Relax
That is a bopper

You all need to watch the video where a kid comes on stage and plays this with the band.
RIP Jimmy! 👑
