- So I bought another console from GameStop... this time I bought a Limited Edition Star Wars Battlefront 2 PS4 Pro console. It's a pretty sweet looking console, but of course we've got some issues... check out the video to see what I got.

I didn’t my regular Refurbish PS4 with the sand paper finish I don’t like the gloss I think it looks better but I’m not sure about the pro tho

I think GameStop got complaints that their console was damaged so maybe they wanted it to have extra protection just in case
Since it's sanded down you could use polish to make it glossy again

Don't use nail polish it will ruin the plastic you bum
If gamestop sandpapered it but the clear coat its not too thin, you can use WD or liquid car wax or even normal car wax to bring the bright back to the top of the console or at least hide the toughest marks on it.
Considering that at least until now, almost all of the exclusives titles for ps5 announced will be retrocompatible with the ps4 and ps4 pro, it's the right moment to buy one of theses. Here in brazil, when a ps5 is listed as "you can buy it now", it cost 7,5 times the minimum wage....well, that's not a bad acquisition
I can't believe they would scratch up a special edition console like that.

You probably found out by now, but those are the logos of the Galactic Empire, Rebel Alliance & Inferno Squad (from the Game Star Wars Battlefronts II, which this console is a limited Edition of).

This is like with bandit power, they're selling stuff that is supposed to be good but when you open it then you know you will regret buying it
If the ps4 was setup on a screen with a different resolution type sometimes it won't boot, you can hold the power button down to reset it, worth a shot
eBay is hit or miss but mostly depends on who you buy from. GameStop is always a disappointment so IMO discontinue game stop purchases and give eBay or others a go for future vids
You should do a video sanding it back to a glossy finish. Segaholic has a video on sanding a sega genesis to looking brand new. Also seen videos of people sanding the glossy ps4 hdd cover back to looking brand new.
Wish that here in brazil we have same stores like gamestop to sell used consoles. Even wit all this defects showed in a ton of videos, this is WAY better than what we do find on fb marketplace and general used selling sites that we have here.

I have the exact same console , couldn't get a regular PRO. but I hate this design to the point where I just wanna remove the star wars logo and artwork on the top cover. It would look 10 times better
Hit that lightly with some 2000 grit sanding block, then buff it with some plastic polish. Would look 100 times better. Just be light over the logos.

I bought a refurbished WiiU from GameStop and it worked great. The console had some scratches here and there but otherwise it was fine. I’m looking for a refurbished ps4 slim so I can play some PlayStation exclusive games I’ve missed out on over the years. I’m thinking about getting one from GameStop as as long as it works, I’ll buy it.
Why do you buy this stuff then wait 5 months to open it so you can't return it?? Its kinda dumb in my opinion
I buy a lot at once and time have time to unbox/make a video on everything immediately. It's flawed but it's how I've been doing it

When he said problems i thought the console was in bad condition but to be honest it was (for me) in a great condition overall, well compared to other refurbished system that i have seen from gamestop so i don't get the complains.
@Andrew Games and Vlogs yeah I know but because most of the consoles you bye from GameStop, especially the refurbished ones that you bye almost full price, have their own hardware problems.The most simple of which is the eject button not working on a refurbished Wii(for this one see MVG refurbished Wii)

Not unecpected from Gamestop. Its just sad. Paying premium for this console. It comes in very bad condition and not with the original matching limited editon controller.
They should use red Scotchbrite pads to scuff the tops. It would make for a better looking surface.
They don't do it for visual aesthetics, they do it to make the consoles look used all to hell so they can sell more new products. If you got this instead of a decent looking used PS4, you might give it back and just buy a new one for not much more. I actually just bought a new PS4 Slim from PlayStation Direct for $299.99. The same price GameStop is selling these used consoles for. Don't buy used products from GameStop because they are ripping you off.

It’s to get rid of any prior scratches on the console (from the previous owner). Is it a good method? Hell no. However, that’s the way they do business.
Also imo the god of war and death stranding ps4 pro limited editions are the best 👌
All you need to do is modify it so you can play copied games. I put a SSD drive in my PS4 & it's fast!
I tried to sell GameStop a 2tb gears of war xbox one a and they wouldn’t take it cuz the controller that came with it wasn’t included. I tried to sell it with a white Xbox one s controller but they said they couldn’t sell it. Find it funny that they sold you this console with an old controller that doesn’t fit the console at all and rubbed sand paper all over the console

Outside of making a scratched case uniform by sanding it i cant see why they do this. i did think about could it be to do with hygiene, but a good antiseptic wipe should be good enuff to clean off any nastys.. So my sanding for hygiene reason doesn't really fit as if they cared they would get into the gaps where nastys will congregate ....
