Motori che potevi elaborare in tutti i modi e se carburati perfettamente con l'utilizzo di oli di qualità erano quasi indistruttibili. Bei ricordi quando agli inizi degli anni 90 la facevano da padrona anche sulle strade di tutti i giorni e quel profumo dell'olio bruciato..indimenticabile...
Si, ma quelli da GP erano talmente spinti che probabilmente andavano ricostruiti dopo ogni gara. Corse cortissime, pistoni che non pesavano un cazzo, carter in magnesio. Un motore così se lo metti in strada rompe dopo 3.000 km.
Old Hockenheimring will always be an absolute favorite racing circuit of mine. New Hockenheimring will never replicate those high-speed duels & truels of the olden days.

In my opinion is Kevin Schwantz the best, the most talanted and most spectacular driver ever and, you need to watch him racing only for two minutes and you get the same feeling as he I LOVE BIKES and RACING
GOOSEBUMPS! I was at Hockenheim that year, sitting in the Sachs Corner. When Schwantz did this incredible late breaking maneuver and overtook Rainey hell broke out. You can hear it a little bit in the video. Damn, that was so great.
You are one of the most luckiest SOB to witness that race. I was at my cousins in India and saw that late breaking by Shwantz. One of a kind ever. I ENVY you.
Le 2 tempi erano molto complicate, eppure c'erano questi piloti che erano semplicemente dei fenomeni! Cagiva Honda Suzuki Yamaha devono ringraziare . Il n34 ne aveva di più in questa occasione, oltre ad essere un fenomeno!
scusate ma questo era il vero Motociclismo. la 500cc , 2 tempi, 4cilindri.......bisognava avere 2 palle cosi per guidarle al limite. il mitico 34, Kevin Schwantz, unico. ..mi teneva incollato alla tv quando c"era il GP.............e gli altri si chiamavano Rainey, Lawson,Doohan, Gardner.......tutti giganti, tutti insieme. un'epoca d'oro
Me la ricordo la gara, e queste immagini hanno una angolazione particolare che non rende, nella diretta televisiva si sono viste entrambe le gomme FUMARE dalla frenata spaventosa che ha fatto. Swantz è il più fantastico incoscente della storia del motociclismo ! 😅

Shwantz the ultimate late breaker... Now adays the new kids on the block do these maneuvers which look so untidy compared to the greats like Rainey, Gardner, Lawson, Shwantz, Doohan, Fogarty, Corser, Chilli, etc
IMHO Schwantz il capolavoro lo fa' all' uscita della seconda variante dell' ultimo giro ( minuto 2:54) . Sapendo di avere la moto meno veloce sul dritto, esce dalla variante con la moto intraversata e una velocita' tale da sopperire alla minor potenza della Suzuki nel successivo rettilineo.
Pensate e dite quello che volete...questi erano piloti Con le Palle.... Senza elettronica, gomme che a metà gara erano già finite... Altro che la moto GP
Notare che tutti i piloti di allora ma proprio tutti guidavano in posizione "di sicurezza" in fase di piega estrema x quei tempi....oggi sarebbero alla stregua di piloti della domenica ma....Non esistevano tcs anti qua' anti là gomme superevolute ed erogazioni di Potenza strcontrollate....e si trovavano ugualmente ai 370 kmh!!!!!!
It was so Frustrating To watch Suzuki Year After Year Provide Kevin Schwantz with Subpar Bikes. Had Suzuki Provided Bikes As Capable As Kevin He Would Have RULED The 500GP For His Entire Career.
