Noel's 1960 Les Paul sounds so much better than his regular touring guitars. A lot of grunt. The original owner was Joe Walsh of The Eagles, who gave it to Pete Townsend. Pete Townsend then gifted it to Johnny Marr. Johnny Marr then gifted it to Noel, in the early days of Oasis, along with a black Les Paul custom - which you can be seen on the Whatever video. It's also the same Les Paul that Johnny used to record the entire Queen is Dead album. Noel has broken it several times over the last 30 years, and I believe it's now retired.

No, mate... I don't think so... Oasis was a good band... and the UK was in short supply of good bands in the 1990's... but I wouldn't elevate them above the truly great UK bands from 70's and early 80's. Their songs are all pretty samey and corny. I get that old Oasis fans like to have a sing song for nostalgia reasons - it takes them back to happier days when they were young and free - but from an objective point of view, their music & songs aren't that great. They're just okay. [Case in point: Their cover of "My Generation" is CLEARLY the best song in this set. It's a level above everything else they played.]

Have loved Oasis since i was a kid in 1994 and heard them on THE WORD, just blew me away their punk rock early style and how these developed with each album, not many like their 2000 album standing on the shoulders of giants but personally i thinm its a great album from start to finish.

You can see that gem archer is a better guitarist because he can switch to a solo anytime which makes noel's work easier. Bonehead is also good but too bad he only plays power chords.

    I love you Bono .
    Won't you come back tomorrow?
    Won't you come back tomorrow?
    Won't you come back tomorrow?
    Can I sleep tonight?
    Outside, somebody's outside
    Somebody's knocking at the door
There's a black car parked at the side of the road
    Don't go to the door
    Don't go to the door
    I'm going out
    I'm going outside mother
    I'm going out there
    Won't you be back tomorrow?
    Won't you be back tomorrow?
    Will you be back tomorrow?
    La la la la la
    Who broke the window?
    Who broke down the door?
    Who tore the curtain?
    And who was it for?
    Who heals the wounds?
    Who heals the scars?
Open the door, open the door
    Won't you come back tomorrow?
    Won't you be back tomorrow?
    Will you be back tomorrow?
    Can I sleep tonight?
    'Cause I want you
    I, I want you
    I really want you
    I, I want, I, I
Want you to be back tomorrow
I want you to be back tomorrow
    Will you be back tomorrow?
    La la la la la
I want you to be back tomorrow
I want you to be back tomorrow
    Will you be back tomorrow?

Who made the blind to see
    He's coming back
    He's coming back
