Neither my husband or I are super handy... but since RUclips came onto the scene, we have tackled SO many projects at our home (one's we would have hired out.) Our latest venture was taking apart our 24 year old dryer, and it is working just like NEW! I have a compromised immune system, so the pandemic also forced us to do our own small jobs because we didn't want workers in our home!
Omg the ceiling really is the star of the show! ✨🤩 I’m most definitely stealing that idea, what an awesome way to lift up a space! You’re truly a genius, Tina! 💪🏻💜
it looks amazing! I love that you do things properly and professionally. So many people skip a lot of the little steps that make a project look amazing instead of “just better”. My parents always said “if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well” and I always try to practice that.
Tina, I’m obsessed with the ceiling molding. It makes your humble hallway look very classy. Everything else you did, the doors, the new handles, the paint colors, all work together for the prettiest hallway ever! Great job!
I have never seen anyone tackle a similar space, but you have set the bar high for those who may follow after. The choices and attention to detail really made the whole makeover a win. I’m super impressed!
Hey Tina, New Subbie here . I know videos leave lots of steps out so you may have done this off camera. But just thought I would add this incase: When using fillers you need to stir it and possibly add a bit of water to get it to a really smooth consistency close to the texture of tooth paste. Makes it really easy to apply and there is less waste. Love all of the work you have done on your new home!
The new door handle 👌🏽 really did modernize the look of the door so much! The light is super cute too. I just love the painted interior doors, it makes such a big difference. It looks amazing Tina, as usual 🙌🏼
Paint does solve a lot of problems! Always turn the power off, kids! The molding on the ceiling is gorgeous and unique. Adds a classy look to the hallway. I'm weak at 6foot Brian 😂🤣The doors and light fixture are perfect for the area👏🏽. Love what you did with this area, Tina!
I love your projects! You are seriously my favorite channel right now. As for why the door knob lock is on the outside, a lot of parents of little kids put locks on the outside so their kids don’t keep coming out for naps or bedtime or lock themselves accidentally in the room and get stuck.
Tina - the ceiling! Stunning!! NataLee Callahan just did an IKEA hack using a Pottery Barn lamp inspo pretty much the exact same light fixture. I am so amazed how the trim, light and ceiling medallion elevated the area! You continue to grow so much with your skills! Bryan and you are such a great couple. I got a real chuckle with.you both laughing at his, "...I'm 6'4", but still need this stool", joke!! 💕
Looks great!! One note for all the diyers: don't plaster over capped wires in the wall, there should always have a removable cover over them, especially if live! Even wires that are disconnected or low voltage in NEC standards should have a removable plate to access incase they do touch a live wire and get connected and spark. Capped live wires without access can be a fire hazard in the wall. Check you electrical codes for your country, NEC in USA and CEC in Canada! My partner who is an electrician and I have been rewiring my house and I've learned alot about electric codes and safety.
I loved this video! I love when homeowners pay attention to often go getter spaces like a hallway. The ceiling molding and light was stunning and Im definitely stealing these ideas. Only suggestion would be to either caulk or put a tiny piece of trim in that itty bitty gap between the bathroom and linen closet
I loved this!! Me and my boyfriend recently (2 weeks ago) bought and moved into our first apartment and I’ve been returning to your channel multiple times to get inspiration and confidence to tackle some home improvements! Love the work, it’s so much fun to follow you ☀️
Omg very impressed. I think this is your best makeover yet! Simply because I didn’t realize how much better a space like that could even look! Bravo! It’s so cute and happy.
You and Brian are such a great team. Love seeing you working together and having so many laughs along the way. This is another great make over. You really are an inspiration!
Hallways are easily overlooked, but they can make a statement of their own. I just finished refreshing mine, too! Love it. And I used the exact same lighting fixtures! Good job as usual, Tina.
Gorgeous. It's so minimal yet impactful! My floors are white tile so I painted the walls a grey blue but im dying to paint the walls to white so I can have colored doors. This vid was the validation I needed lol
I loved the ceiling, so easy and a great way to make the hallway look bigger and taller. I loved the paint color for the doors, amazing! I am currently really struggling with my kitchen and dinning table styling, would love you take on it!
I've been planning on adding picture frame molding in our living area, but never thought about doing this on the ceiling, I love it, looks fantastic! :)
Beautiful !! I love what you did with the ceiling... you two are adorable together, the new door handles are classy, the whole hallway is classy now !! Great work ..
What a huge difference, love the ceiling, looks so expensive. Nicely done! Couldn't help but notice the hall closest may need a bit of organization to match the finished hallway, but....another idea for a video.
Tina. Please come to my house!! I’ll make dinner, have all of your favorite snacks and drinks. Everything is so nice. Also I love that you and your husband laugh hard and appear to work well together. It’s so refreshing to see you guys in action!
Hi Tina, love the makeover. You might want to check your local building code for the junction box you buried in the wall. Typically wires need to be accessible with a plate or removed, even if they’re capped off.
I'm updating my front hallway right now and this made me decide to commit to a warm greige for the doors!! I originally wanted to do black but changed my mind when I saw how dark the contrast was with everything else... but I looove how this turned out!
Firstly, LOVE all your home DIY's!!!! The office transformation with the wall wood slatting idea OMG 😍. Secondly, I must know what kind of car you have cause I need one like that lol. It fits so much. I have a Honda CRV and it's not big enough to fit all the materials I buy for my never ending DIY ideas for my little business so I always end up having to rent out u-hauls. :( But your car just seems to fit tons.

Thanks girl!! I am seriously so happy I went with that idea because it truly makes such a statement! 😍
It absolutely looks so much better and cohesive! I would’ve never thought I’d have hallway envy, but amazing job as usual! 🥰✨😍💖
You are too sweet! Thank you!! 💖 The house truly feels so much more updated with this quick fix 👏
it looks amazing! I love that you do things properly and professionally. So many people skip a lot of the little steps that make a project look amazing instead of “just better”. My parents always said “if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well” and I always try to practice that.
I 100% agree with this!! The small details are v tedious but make the world of a difference 👏
Tina, I’m obsessed with the ceiling molding. It makes your humble hallway look very classy. Everything else you did, the doors, the new handles, the paint colors, all work together for the prettiest hallway ever! Great job!
Thank you so much! 💖
One last next step would be to make the trim around your bedroom built up to match the other doors. Great job! Love the ceiling molding!
I have never seen anyone tackle a similar space, but you have set the bar high for those who may follow after. The choices and attention to detail really made the whole makeover a win. I’m super impressed!
Wow! Who would have imagined such an amazing difference! LOVE LOVE LOVE the ceiling!

It’s absolutely amazing! It’s so nice to see Brian in more of your videos.
Omg! The picture frame molding on the ceiling is perfection!! And the medallion/light fixture LOVE!! ❤️❤️❤️
The new door handle 👌🏽 really did modernize the look of the door so much! The light is super cute too. I just love the painted interior doors, it makes such a big difference. It looks amazing Tina, as usual 🙌🏼
I've been dying to get new handles and these ones just make the house feel so much more updated! 😍 Thanks for the kind words 💛

Wow, this turned out great. Love the ceiling treatment and new fixture, and the fixes and new doors made a difference. Nice job. Love 6'4" Brian 😆
Love the hallway. You and your husband are so handy and do such great work.

I never thought a hallway could look so beautiful. It adds such style and warmth. I need to take a look at my hallway. 😆
Wow ! The beige doors really pop ! Loving the light fixture !

Such a great result! The ceiling detail was my favourite!

This is so me every time i want to upgrade my apartment
We have a very weird passage way/ space outside our bedroom. I think the idea to trim the ceiling is amazing! I'm definitely going to try it there.
The black and gold for the doorbell was a perfect choice!
The ceiling idea just got me so inspired to transform my houses low ceilings. Never would have thought of that!!
What a difference those doors made!
Omg very impressed. I think this is your best makeover yet! Simply because I didn’t realize how much better a space like that could even look! Bravo! It’s so cute and happy.

Wow I so beautiful and elegant - amazing how some paint, moulding, change in door knobs and light fixture can transform a space! 👏 ❤️

Loooks so much better!! Good Job! It is amazing what paint can do!
I love the light and the attention to detail on the doorbell!
