Dany Great video and verry interesting boat. I saw in thw owners manual that you can put a motor up to 6 HP on the 437PS and I want to know why does SeeEagle dont offer the Honda 6 HP insted of the 5 HP. Thanks!
Last summer I bought a 437PS. Initially I was looking for a Kayak but when I saw the paddlesky I quickly changed my plans. Kayakcliff's videos particularly influenced me. I greatly appreciated being able to travel while easily transporting my boat and its 5HP Honda engine. I would like to know if it is necessary to install the aluminum crossbar that must be installed at the front of the boat. My dog is part of the crew and I would like to create a bigger space for him up front. THANKS.
Aloha @danybolduc5235, thanks for watching and commenting! We truly appreciate you and hope you'll consider subscribing to Sea Eagle Boats RUclips Channel for more informative videos and new product releases to come. The front crossbar aka yoke helps with a front load. Like with another person sitting in the front seat position. However, dogs in general are pretty light when compared to humans. So if it's just going to be you and your dog. That's definitely worth giving it a try. If it's two passengers and your dog. You'll want to keep the yoke bar in place. We'd love to hear your results, see some footage, or even some photos.
Great video! Been waiting anxiously for it. Thanks for the effort. The way you did the range calculations is very credible. Very much in line what other users of 5/6 HP motors are experiencing. For your third episode; it would be great to know how far one can go at half throttle. That would be at about 7/8 mph. If you can find a warm enough day; maybe you could do a couple half-throttle runs. Enjoying your videos and how much you are enjoying your 437. I’ve had mine for a month now. Got a grab-bar rigged up. Got a taller seat rigged up. Got an after-market 3-bow canopy rigged up. Right now, working on installation of a BooneDox Landing Gear. Gonna take it down to San Carlos; Sonora, Mexico as soon as possible (about 6 hours from my front door here in southern Arizona by car). Will send some photos soon. Keep your videos coming.
Aloha bruddah Stephen, you're rigging sounds amazing! Can't wait to see it! Would love to see you get your RUclips channel going so we could go along for the ride! Thank you so much for watching and the kind words. Truly appreciated!
@@SeaEagleBoats Dan, great news! I have completed the setup of my 437. Thanks for the very good videos. I am a Gumotex fan and own several Gumotex boats. But now I'm really considering switching brands :) and buying Sea Eagle boats. @Sea Eagle: do I need to attach the aluminum bar in the front? Or can I leave it off?

I found a website that sold 316 stainless steel #6X1" sheet metal screws. At first I thought they were too thin but no they were plenty strong. I did do pilot holes first. By chance I placed the Scotty mounts the same distance from the black knobs as you did on the front support bar.
Another great video Dan! Loving my Paddleski 437ps, and awaiting spring here in RI. As you know, I have 3 Paddleski's, my favorite boat in the world. As I'm a big fan of the kayak features, I'd love to see a detailed paddling video, and also with the longer AB40 paddles which I think would make a noticable difference I plan to buy once I'm sure they are better. Pretty sure they would be. The AB30's feel really short for this boat.

What a bummer. I bought the electric watersnake 70lb thrust when I already own a 30lb thrust Minkota because I thought the thrust referred to speed. My ignorance. My fault. It sounds like neither will eclipse 5mph? Trying it this week while on vacay!
Your Watersnake Advance 70 may or may not just slightly eclipse 5 mph but it will out shine your Minn Kota 30 is in adverse conditions. Thanks for watching! We hope you subscribed to the Sea Eagle Boats RUclips Channel for more informative videos to come!
As I learned with a 15' sailboat, you want as much power as you can get with a trolling motor, More power come in to its own on windy days and or water currents. I bought the Watersnake advance 70 because it has the most power for a 12V battery. I didn't want to spend a lot for a electric outboard just to only get 3mph faster speeds.@@SeaEagleBoats
Do you think if the total weight of 855 which is the recommended was packed on the paddleski, do you think it can still go 15-16 mph with that honda 5hp? Thanks
Hi Jack, great question. All three have been designed to rapidly self-bail. However, when considering rough water, surf launch, and re-entry one must always take into consideration swells, swell direction, waves, wave size, current, tide, and wind. Not to mention taking a minimum of 15-mins to sit and evaluate a safe launching and landing point. Generally speaking any of these watercraft could be use in the right conditions but generally the most nimble craft with the most buoyancy in relation to size is the best choice and the PaddleSki™ seems to fit the bill. However, please remember to always place safety first. It's always highly recommended, advisable, and more enjoyable to venture out on safe calm days. Be sure to have all your safety plans and items in place well before launching. Such as but not limited to wearing a PFD at all times, lights, sound devices, waterproof phone or case, waterproof marine radio, EPIRB, a partner, and a float plan that's share with others. We highly recommend the U.S. Coast Guard App. It's free, compatible with most cell phones, contains a float plan templet, share feature, and emergency activation button. Please stay safe out there and always put safety first. Thanks for watching! We hope you subscribed to the Sea Eagle Boats RUclips Channel for more informative videos to come!

Why do y’all run a Honda 5hp if it can handle a 6hp
We run it with the 5hp because that is what we carry from Honda
