Join me as we re-examine Pikmin's Umibozu theory under the lens of the present day.

I remember watching all of your Pikmin theories after the Umibozu theory popped up in my recommended. Now here I am watching them the day before Pikmin 4 comes out so I can see what still holds up.
Man I remember that theory like it was like yesterday also geez 9 years? Time flies so fast dude.
Too fast, I still can't believe it's been that long!
@@VGTI yeah, and you’ve improved very much as well. I’m always looking forward to your videos.
I remember watching this old theory closer to when it released, good times. Let's see if the Umibozu theory continues in Pikmin 4
I know this channel is kinda old but I hope when pikmin 4 came up you make videos you make very good theoryes (I dont know how to write in english ok )
Now that the full on first trailer for pikmin 4 happened, maybe talk about that
iirc Hey Pikmin’s final boss is also a wraith. I imagine the wraith(s) is/are some entity that is able to create or manipulate life. It could be that the planet in Hey Pikmin was created by this entity or group of entities, possibly as a method to catch or kill Olimar. Olimar is a person who tries to find a logical, scientific explanation for everything, and having an antagonistic force that defies any sort of rational explanation would fit narratively into the series. Pikmin 3 also goes out of the way several times to state that the Koppaites’ crash was unusual and that it may not have been an accident.
Absolutely incredible to see how far you've come mate, and I know you're not the biggest channel but you got some quality in your work man
That means a lot to me! Thank you so much!
I like to think that at least the Water Wraith might be partially inspired by the Umibozu
congratulations on the 9th year of awesome content and on your new job :)
I just binged all your Pikmin theory vids. Needless to say, I love your content and I’m looking forward to hear your theories for the next game!
Oh cool, I'm so glad you enjoyed it all! Yeah, I have a feeling that next game is going to lead to some fascinating stuff :)
there is a loophole in the goolix possessing the smokey progg, you can fight smoky progg before Goolix.
This is a good point, and is probably down to what Nintendo would consider canon if the theory ends up being true. Worth noting also is how the Progg is a malformed larval Mamuta. The creature that appears on even numbered days instead of the Goolix? A mamuta. I wonder what it means...
But do believe that it's possible that the goolix could be the water wraith.
The water wraith is a ghost because wraiths are vengeful spirits.
And spirits come from death and you kill the goolix.
But it could be a spirit of a human, angry that olimar got to live while it's species was wiped out.
It is very humanoid.
But the reason the emperor bulblax doesn't leave behind a corpse is because pikmin one can't handle that unlike pikmin 3 which is more modern, we have plenty of big corpses in 3.
@@stuffstuff3455 I do Believe your theory that the Water wraith could be the spirit of a human, but what I don’t believe is that the Plasm Wraith is the umibuzu, It seems more to me that the Plasm wraith is the Embodiment of earth and Mourns the loss of humanity and Olimar reminds it of the humanity and decided to keep Olimar and wanted to protect him, it saw that Koppites were going to take Olimar away from it so it suck him up to prevent them from getting to Olimar
I remember watching the original video around the time it released, crazy that it’s been that long.
Cool to see how much your content has improved man
I think if the wraiths are meant to be analogous to the umibozu it's probably more symbolic and the truth is more grounded in reality. There is definitely something fishy about that blue goo though.
I feel old
I don't think it's supposed to be EXACTLY like the wraith, but they are inspired by the umi bozu. Only in the sense of "wrecking ships" and the pursuit of the captains.
