Well THAT gives a whole new meaning to "wind-up punch"!
Aran's back with a new trick up his sleeve! I don't know how he pulls it from this non-existent sleeve, but he does! Just gotta watch the timing of that glove-bolo of his and all will be well. The main thing is to interrupt his attacks like last time, and know which ones you CANT interrupt. Then wallop him. If you do better at dodging than me, you'll get a ton of hits in after his glove-bolo move.
Oh, and keep an eye out for his last ditch attack when you floor the fella!

Go for the knockout punch! It's Punch-Out!!(!) This title is a true-to-form reimagining of the classic Punch-Out!! titles! And 60 frames per second will let you see the animation to the fullest! You've got the simple and rhythmic dodge/punch controls, your star punch, and a super-stereotypical array of contenders to bash! You can just feel the love that went into making this into a game to be cherished by the fans of the series! (It's good for newbies, too! This was my first!)
Your goal is to knock out your opponent, and to do so you need to look for openings! If you just throw punches at random they'll be blocked. In general, you'll dodge a single or series of punches and then when they're open for retribution you respond with your own! There are other methods of attack, and the game will introduce a few to you as a key method for attack, but in general it's "Dodge-punch-punch-punch"! You'll often get stars for a star punch (a more powerful attack) if you take advantage of these more secret techniques.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention! You have two ways of healing yourself! If you knock the other fella down, you can mash the punch buttons to regenerate health as long as they are on the floor. There's also the super-secret-chocolate bar! Press "-" between rounds to heal a LOT of health next round. Only can do once per match!
I played through this game once in the past using the Wii Remote/Nunchuk scheme throwing punches left and right, so this time I'll try the more classic method of the Wii Remote held sideways, buttons only.

A couple technical notes:
This is being played on a Nintendo Wii U, a system backwards-compatible with Wii discs. The Wii U has the same hardware built-in as the Wii. The Wii U will automatically upscale your Wii games based on your selected resolution and output via HDMI in Progressive Scan for a clean image.

Okay so here's what happened: Between Super Punch Out (1994) and Punch Out (2009) Aran Ryan ran out of meds and he became insane

I saw a headcanon that Aran Ryan was a perfectly legit (if somewhat snarky) boxer who made it to the World Circuit, but after seeing how much cheating there was in the ring, he snapped in between games and went to their level.
The horseshoes and boxing glove flail was his backup for when he couldn’t bring a Glock into the ring

When he says Dreamland, use a star punch when you think he is about to say BOO, or get down to use his dreamland punch, and he will go down immediately.
Also, learn which punches he delays. Then it will be a cakewalk. I beat him on my first try, legit, Great Tiger was harder than him..

Everyone talks about how much of a cheater Ryan is, but in fact every opponent in this game is cheating or at least breaking the official rules in some way.
*Glass Joe:* Headgear
*Von Kaiser:* Bad pants (extend past his knees)
*Disco Kid:* Listens to headphones during breaks (could receive advice from them) ; Bad clothing in TD (no belt line distinction)
*King Hippo:* Weight and nationality unknown, thus he didn't attend compulsory weigh-in nor receive a legit boxing license ; Headgear (his crown) ; Body armor (manhole, in TD)
*Piston Hondo:* Headgear (headband)

*Super Macho Man:* Wears earrings (banned for the boxer's safety) ; Trunks have personal branding ; Answers press questions in breaks (violates rules regarding press being near the ring) ; Puts on sunglasses before his Super Macho Man attack (foreign object) ; Outside interference before his Super Macho Man attack (bright lights)
*Mr. Sandman* is actually the only clean guy, as far as I know. He doesn't need to cheat to be a terrifying beast!
Glass Joe's headgear isn't exactly cheating, since it's an established rule in the WVBA that you can wear headgear if you lose 100 times. And I think Bald Bull *is* applying a cold towel, he's just so hot (as in body heat, not in _that_ way) that he's steaming.

Question: Why does Mac have no pupils in the 'about-to-fight' scene?
Answer: Because he's so far away, and the people who created Punch-Out!! couldn't do it very well. Even he looks creepy with that 'no pupils', you still know he's only far away (2 feet away, I guess.) and you have to ZZZZZZOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM in at his face to see if you can find the pupil. If you do, comment "I found it!". If not just comment "I can't find it. Where is it?".
Oh and if you think he's smiling, he's not. It's also the creators of Punch-Out!! that couldn't do it well.

Sonickid Gaming or just look at what he does when not hitting you as he does the same but it will hit you
So when he pulls it out and swings it around, he is swinging it the same way twice so remember how he swung it before the ones that can hit you.
Note: You can actually counter Aran Ryan before he punches, but always dodge his elbows, also his headbutts but you only block and punch him when he has been knocked down twice.
Also when he uses his weapon, dodge left or right and then duck, you can punch or star punch him afterwards.
