It has trails for everyone and lots of facilities.

Vince Flaherty cheers vince, yeah an off piste Cannock video is on the cards at some point although the forestry are really clamping down at the min.
The Head Angle agreed there has been a lot floating around on Facebook expressing there views on off piste trail building and riding. Best get over and do a vlog before they get destroyed! Some really good stuff about atm 👍🏻👍🏻

That climb at the side of cardiac as been gone for a long time. There's a down hill section that comes through there now. Further round to the left from where it use to bring you out.
If you go to the right past cardiac you should see a cut with a climb.
I’ve never made it up cardiac hill without having to push 😂
@@Stuey1221 I did it a couple days ago, had a proper sit down after it xD So happy I managed it in one go though
May have to try this again. When I tried 8 yrs ago it was absolute dross compared to Dalby. Badly maintained was a big complaint
I think everywhere in England is pretty weak compared to dalby, I was up that way over the last month for work, regretted not bringing my bike because I spent quite a lot on bike hire
How wide is your bar Mate? Might have to use a special bar when I visit cannock...😂

Cannock is quite tight, I have a special set of "cannock bars" which are 670 😅🤘
I just cut my renthals down to 700 but still in doubt lol....
I have wedged many bikes in between trees, always keep spare bikes in the car hehe
I started on 720 and now I cant go any less😂

Thanks for that reminder of how good the Chase Trails are. I used to be over there 3 times a week when I worked in Stafford and could have a cheeky lap on the way home.
How much is the parking? (I used to have the forestry commission year pass as it worked out cheaper).

The Head Angle Cannock chase are planning to close all of the lay-bys on roads, close a large number of the smaller car parks. Once this is done they will centralise more car parks to just the larger ones and then install charging for the majority of car parks.

I was there for the first time last week, there was a fella with no helmet but he had a mask 😷 on 🤣 and it was jammed up with slow riders and kids on the Dog 🤣
leroy gibb yeah it was a bit mental how many no helmet first timers that was there for us too... sign of the times at the min, they’re all off school & work etc.

no i live next to cannock chase and you dont have to pay but you have to pay for parking if you wanna park there.
It’s free to ride but the parking is chargeable. BUT, all the money from the car park goes into maintaining the course, all done by volunteers too so for the couple of quid it’ll cost it’s worth it

No way is Cannock up as one of the most popular?? I went the once and that was enough for me..
Went here today. Would recommend for family’s and beginners but for more advanced riders I wouldn’t recommend as even the black features are really easy and found it abit boring
So is it open now please I need reply ASAP because I’m thinking of going tomorrow
Tom pack an as far as I’m aware the main trail Center is open but I’d check with Forestry website to be sure

Cannock was a disappointment for me.
Too wide, too smooth, too easy.
Gisburn & Dalby are the best in the midlands/North England.
I loved Cannock, was impressed by how good it was considering the lack of elevation, done Gisburn wouldn't go back, goes to show how subjective it is.

I found gisburn a lot more exciting and challenging, although cannock disappointed me, it's certainly better than some (sherwood pines for example, and thetford, that was rubbsih).
The chase is ok but far from the best trail in the UK. It's getting bad now also with e bikes ripping it up, big braking bumps on all the best bits and ruts all over. The new blue is good fun though. E bikes need there own dedicated trails so they stop wrecking it for everyone else
