Our trees are like 50 years old 😭 do you recommend a sprayer for that? We have a bunch or broken branches and dead branches im wondering how i should seal them
Wow! This is amazing information. My Pontree in El Paso Texas gave me the smallest pecans. I have ever seen in all my life. It’s a large tree that came with the property. It’s very tall and has a trunk diameter of 16 inches. My question is, what if I have other plants and flowers surrounding the tree. Not at the trunk I mean at the drip line in different parts of the backyard. Will the zinc and nitrogen fertilizer kill them?
It is supposed to protect (seal) the bark, especially on young trees. It seals cracks that can allow moisture in and cause possible rot. Also possibly protects from sun exposure which can lead to drying. Does it work? I don't know. I don't paint my pecan tree trunks, but lots of old timers believe in it. Certainly can't hurt anything, but doesn't look very nice either.
Just ordered a hose end sprayer to apply liquid NZn to my 20 pecan trees. In looking for the NZn it seems this product has been discounted. What spay product can I buy to apply liquid Zinc IAW this video.
How does this tree get zinc NATURALLY before people started spraying the pecan trees ?? Do u know ? Yummy 😋 😊😂❤❤❤ pecans are scrumptious for every meal & snacks!!!! 😊🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
In an ecologically healthy site the mycorrhiza in the roots can make the mineral Zinc in the ground accesible to the tree. They don't need foliar fertilizer in the wild, only if you want to produce a lot of pecans for commercial purpose then the foliar fertilizer is useful.
go to any hardware store and buy some fire ant killer wet ant mound sprinkle the granules on top they will eat the poison and take to the queen the whole nest will die
maria arevalo set a trap so that you can see what kind of pests you are catching. Then you can fumigate according to what pests are attacking your trees. Hope that helps.
Plant the proper varieties for your area. I've seen huge native pecans that have never made a crop. This is the 3 main things they need in order from most important to least important. #1 water #2 nitrogen #3 zinc. Casebearers can kill a huge amount of your nuts and sometimes all of them when they're still very small 1/4" so you have to spray them before they enter the nut. Once they get inside the nutlets, your insecticide won't do a whole lot of good
I have four pecan trees around the property. Your information has been a big help.
What about pecan phylloxera treatment? I have 2 grown trees in my front yard and need help!

Sad... No information or link for the sprayer or NZN. Very poor instructional video
Why is my pecan trees producing only rotten pecans
+maria arevalo leaf footed bugs?
Perhaps pecan weevil. Check with your local ag extension agent.

Could be scab disease. Hollow pecans, blackened branches, it’s a bad problem in southern USA with high humidity.
I sell a lot of this NZ N-Demand link

You don't explain everything--no one can--but you don't answer questions. Makes you look foolish.
