Very nice review of the diffuser! If I am only running the Radion G4 I would be all over this, especially since I have a pretty bad disco ball effect (which you don't seems to have much issue of). Glad EcoTech is FINALLY coming out of a diffuser panel. ;-)

What Gen of lights do you have Ash? The biggest benefit is you will have more even light, Better color blending and nicer shimmer. I no longer have my G3's so i cant compare the narrow vs wide lens with them. The G4 is more of a "wide" lens.
I am wanting to upgrade fro my current orbit to ether kessil, Ai or radions. I love the fact that my currents have really no disco, but not enough color pop or growth factor. I have my eye on slightly used ones, and 4th gen radions and kessil because of the kessil shimmer. I s that shimmer just a big disco effect tough? Is there another brand that may be a good option as well for me and what do oyu think of the 3 and also the fact that 4th gen and not 5th. know 5 gen added more pucs, not sure what else they did. Also what really is the big deal over radions? What makes them so different?
What par meter do you normally used, from my side of the screen your tank light looks more spread thru the entire tank and more solid colors but again from my side of the screen, honestly I love your short vids much better than those two hours one but is me man nothing wrong with them but my time is limited sometimes

Any news on release date yet? My biggest issue with my gen 3s is the "disco" ball effect, as you mentioned the diffuser gives more of a kessil look, best off both worlds! Radion performance kessil aesthetics.
0 Disco ball with these! The biggest "disco" that i noticed was colors in the shadows, with theses it looks like a regular shadow and no funky color artifacts. Ill see if i can find out the official release date.
How do you think the difference in surface agitation (much heavier on the left side of tank) is affecting the difference in shimmer you noticed? Based on the look of the ripples on the surface, I could see that alone causing larger shimmer lines on the left. Also, the more T5 "blanket-like" spread would normally reduce shimmer, no? Check out the last 30 seconds of the video, I have a part where i filmed the same chalice with and without the diffuses. with out the diffusers i notice a ton of "micro shimmers" where adding the diffusers turns the whole thing into a single panel over multiple diodes which turned it into a larger softer shimmer look. I can try and find a better way to film it for a future followup video...Its hard to capture it on camera.

ReefDudes jup me too. Gen 3 pro’s work great for me atm. Plan on upgrading them once they bring out one with intergrated wifi compatiblity, which should be bound to happen right? 😂
G3 pro's are great lights! I'm guessing we will have your G3's for a while.. good thing they are already awesome. The AI lights have builit in wifi but i suspect the future Radions will be similar with reeflink integration. On the flip side Your tank likes stability so the less you mess with it the better haha :)

Looks like a nice addition. I like the muted side view. I hate stray light.
Its nice not seeing the diodes. The wall as a nice cutoff line of light as well now :P

Looking good. Nice busting out the caliber or whatever you call it. Is this a temp study or are the difusers permanent?
Probably permanent! They are staying on for a while to see how the corals like them. Ill likely do a followup video in a month or two :)

Make sure you use the 80 degree lens if using the diffusers, far more efficient and great spread. Your welcome

Can u comment on disco effect on sand ?
0 disco effect, they do a wonderful job of blending the colors. Ill try and get some more sand shot when i do a followup video!

Is the diffuser only for the G4 or do they also fit the G3?
