Correction: I said 158gr Golden Saber when I meant 147gr. Apparently my mind was stuck on recent revolver tests and 158gr is a standard .38 Special round.
Hey Rider, I have quite a few Dan Wesson's including an ECP... LOVE Them! I consider the DW's the absolute best production 1911's before moving into the customs! Thanks ';-)
I carry a Smith and Wesson 1911sc which is commander sized with a bobbed grip and a scandium frame. I have been carrying this for about 8 years and I am pleased with it.
Thanks for watching. You might be interested in Part 10 of my Great Affordable 1911 Series where I put two Scandium-frame S&W Commander-size pistols side-by-side.
Other than a few radio interviews and guest on a radio show (Trigger Talk on WAAM radio), my only "radio" experience is using a radio as a police officer and as a pilot. Thanks for watching.
Ive been carrying SIG lately, a Fastback and a deep cover Legend P938 and really like both . The Fastback in 45ACP and 9mm in the P938. I also have the SIG Legend Comp Series 365 and 320 comp and I'm not disappointed with SIG at all. Great content as always 🇺🇸🗽
I picked up a used ECO 9mm in like new condition early this year. Perfectly fitted specimen, but since I already have a Nighthawk Counselor (9mm Officer's size), I sent it off to Bar-Sto for a 38 Super barrel. Now, for time being, it's my favorite carry. A handloaders delight.
the only dan wesson ive ever had is the v bob...which i do love. my s a range officer compact is probably closer to the ecco. i do love 1911s. thanks for the video.
Thanks for the video. Have a commander valor v-bob which is very nice but I have never carried. Closest thing I have to the eco is probably mt 3” 45 acp desert eagle undercover.
A good reminder of why we're supposed to test our ammo in our guns before we carry them. Thanks Rider. Love the DW 1911s though. I have a full size Specialist and a commander size Valor that are just range guns.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I've seen too many folks but a gun and a box or two of ammo, just trusting that it will work. It seems to be rare that folks actually do a thorough ammo test with their carry gun.
My ECO also had some ammo issues. I would get FTE"s because the empty case would get stuck in the chamber. Totally ammo dependent. To bad Dan Wesson stopped making them. Highly accurate, easy to conceal, and paired with a Gary Brommeland Max-Con V IWB (amazing leather holster) it was easy to carry.

I agree that Dan Wesson makes the premier "production" 1911, though I'm concerned about their quality control since the "merger" with Colt.

Recently discovered your channel and you have such a fantastic voice. Were you ever in radio?

I’ve wanted to get an ECO ever since I saw your review. 👍👍👍👍
It is a nice little gun. Thanks once again for watching and commenting.

Good looking 1911, sir!
Yes, it is. Too bad Dan Wesson no longer makes the ECO. Thanks for watching.

Great looking gun, never tried that size 1911,,,,I think I will now😎 You look frozen out there,,,stay warm!
There is just something about an Officer-Size 1911 that seems to fit my hand perfectly. Once again, thanks for watching and commenting.

thank you sir nice looking gun this was a god vidio
Thanks for watching.
I've never tried 158 gr. Golden sabers. With that being your trusted carry round I will try it.
I should have said 147gr. My mind was still stuck on my recent revolver tests and 158 is the old stand-by for .38 revolvers. Thanks for watching.
Crows can be elusive
Hmmm.....
