Christine Mutungi is hated by her family-in-law.
One day, her husband's brothers even attempted to pay him a lot of money to dump her but he refused. Her in-laws claim that Christine is too naive and poor for her husband. But tables have turned and now she is the one providing for him and their two children.
Their marriage has stood the test of time and even though some of Christine's friend have also told her to dump her husband and get a sponsor, she is not about to let the devil win.
She sits down with Lynn Ngugi for this exclusive episode of Tuko Talks

Sometimes men are framed to be deadbeat dads, based on the plan by the mother to alienate the kids from the father. Not all deadbeat dads took off for no reason. There should be a story to be told by both parents. People don't leave relationships or families for no reason........

This is very encouraging. I remember staying in Korogocho slums next to legion Maria with my husband paying a rent of 500 which we could not afford. I would teach in private schools and I would be promised 1500 which was never paid. Not even in our wildest dream did we think that one day we would relocate to United states of America.
