If there's ever another take of Emperor Qianlong's imperial wives, I would like to see Empress Xiaoxian and Imperial Noble Consort Ling as a mother/daughter duo. How would that shape her relationship with Step Empress Nara?
@@eramfatima7619 Ling would have been around Xiaoxian's deceased daughter's age. And since Ling was under her tutelage, they would have grown close. That closeness could have resulted in a mother/daughter relationship. We can never know, but we can imagine.
@@jLachelle3 I know, but it's still shaped by a master/servant dynamic. I mean, what if Ling started off as an imperial wife. Yanxi and Ruyi have her as a servant first. The attitude towards Ling in that hypothetical series would be different.
Thank you to give us a Answer of this Question. 😏😏Qianlong Qianlong, if he has planing to Married Ling. Then he was a clever Man😏. That is the same with the Mystery of the Stepempress, we need more hidden Documents to find more about thier Story´s.
Very interesting. But i wonder.,.If Qianlong immediately wanted Ling as his woman...then was he among those who picked imperial maids? Or did she make impression upon somebody who selected the maids...and Qianlong heard about it? ...Or did he meet her prior? So many interesting possibilities.
Now I have more questions. Without historical records we don't know that she served any of the imperial women right? And I wondered if she was like a foster daughter to the empress. And I wonder if Ling's appearance at forbidden city was pre-arranged.
Now, that's really, really interesting. Thank you so much for this video. Was the Emperor involved in any way in the Imperial Household Selection. Thank you for this great video.
Thanks Bing, so glad you are doing this series of fact and fiction.

Well, Yanxi Palace has a similar trope where they are close... It's the closest we can get I think.
Yanxi palace shows them having a big sister little sister relationship. They have a great relationship and protect one another.

Consort Ling was also the same age as the Emperor's eldest son, Yonghuang
