That is a cool plane. Steve and I used to skydive a few years back and actually jumped out of the Twin engine beach aircraft. That brought back some really good memories.
Dear Steve this video is one of your great RC video. I liked a lot. Peter The 82 year old man added extra value in this video. The FPV cased video gave this video extra ordinary look. Good job Done.
The D-18 s, The full size aircraft I learned to fly, in the 50's. Great airplane, and the sound of the P&W R 985 engines is real music to the ear. I'am looking forward to getting the R/C version. Thanks for the video review.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Yes I did, There's quite a story behind the old Beech. I wish I could talk to you about it sometime. I will e mail you sometime soon, and maybe I can give you call. Tom
RC planes have really advanced, I flew giant scale aerobatic planes and war birds back in the 90's (Extra 230, Diablo, etc.) with big chain saw engines. Really good footage here...
The big planes fly the best imo. I mainly fly smaller planes because they’re easier to transport but the big planes draw the crowds when I fly at the parks 🎉
The Twin Beech as it is popularly known is an iconic aircraft. It was used to train bomber crews during World War 2. And it is a great looking plane! The RCAF/Canadian Armed Forces flew it from World War 2 until 1972.
what a super plane Captain a bit out of my pension as you know cost of living and so on may be when things get better but it's a joy watching your videos
That is a beauty ... I'm actually going to look into that RC plane. I've never had one other than our line flown 0.49 gas engine planes 😆 It's funny because my dad and my uncle, his brother had RC planes, but I was too young at that time.... both of them were actual pilots and built their own experimental aircraft. I however like my feet firmly planted on terra ferma. Oh I love the sound of that aircraft too.... that low fly by was awesome. Excellent footage as always 👏
What an excellent, very informative video. I’m considering getting this r/c plane (and I’m a beginner), love the real plane and would love to fly a tiny replica! (I’m a pilot and fly/own a full-sized 1946 Aeronca Champ antique taildragger.) Thanks for the video!!
For every RC item I have flown so far, probably in the thousands, the number of crashes would be less than .05% (super small number). For RC planes, I have had two crashes since May. One plane I stalled ( that was the big red Cirrus I showed in a video) and the other plane disconnected power in flight. Both planes were quickly repaired with foam Tac glue.
Captain I know the typhoon H is long passed up. But I still love mine and fly today. Will you please tell me on the Cgo3 + camera, on a sunny day what is my best EV value number. Also what do you recommend on the ISO Setting? Thanks Keith
Nope. If you want a plane that comes with the transmitter, battery and battery charger you have to do a search for an RTF RC PLANE (RTF stands for READY TO FLY).
😂 your gonna make the rc plane community band you . They say not a beginner plane you say definitely a beginner plane . You say this is easy , they say this take lots of practice and even hundreds of hours of sim time 😅 My thoughts I think your experience with drones might be a factor . Great flight and footage though. When will you do and edf jet ? Can I recommend flying the viper 70mm
Thanks Kevin. Funny you should mention that because I get the same thing from the RC CAR community. They see me driving cars and they do not like that I say all RC Cars are perfect for beginners... cause they are so simple to drive & you learn to drive better the more you drive. If you can fly drones, especially something difficult like an FPV drone, then RC Planes are super simple to fly. The landing is the thing most beginners struggle with, but with practice that becomes easier over time. The hardest thing to fly in the RC Hobby are HELICOPTERS that have no stabilization.... Yikes, even for me they are difficult.
ive seen drunk monkey,s fly drones but it takes a hell of alot more skill to fly rc planes and especially without a gyro or safe technology. you gotta have a knack for it.
Steve... you keep saying "Not Super Expensive". This plane costs ~$606 Cnd plus Shipping plus Brokerage Fees plus Canadian Taxes.... That's way out of the range of the average RC nut like me... Would still love to have a detailed scale plane like that one.
Considering what it is (a professional RC detailed scaled DC18 plane), the price is great. RC planes range in price from $100 up to $2000. Most people in the RC plane hobby in Canada buy RC planes that are under $1000 Canadian. Beginners usually start off at the $500 or less price range.

You certainly like flying all kinds of planes and drones.
Absolutely amazing.
Keith
I've been in the RC hobby for so very long that I made sure to try everything RC.
You've become an excellent rc plane pilot in such a short time. She's such a graceful bird in the air.
Some RC planes fly ‘scale’ really well and this one is perfect in that regard.
Steve I love that you‘re an old guy and fly drones and do youtube
You‘re an awesome guy, stay positive
Much love from germany✌️
I appreciate that!
Wow this one is freaking cool!!! The bigger the better Lol. Great Flight as Always CaptaiN!!!!
Just finished programing mine! Can't wait to get out and do the maiden! Another great video!
You’ll have a great Maiden for sure.
Wow! Captain Drone is a total pro with these videos! The flight portion was so relaxing to watch! Great Job!
Thanks for checking it out
That looked very cool flying and a nice RC Plane.
That is one gorgeous looking rc plane! :-)
Jedi Master has evil good skills, Such a sweet aircraft!

RC planes with 2 motors look really cool 🤩🤩
You are hooked for life lol now it’s time to go FPV plane 🎉

What an amazing looking model!
A beautiful plane in the sky, too bad my small town paved over the only rc flying field we had to build new housing.
Great footage in the chase sequence and the videography in general. 👍 Well done!
Thank you very much!
Impressive Steve. Very nice. 👍
Excellent Video. Great RC Plane. Thank You.
I just ordered this plane I can’t wait to get it so cool. Great flying
Enjoy!
That is a good looking RC plane.
That was enjoyable, the music gave it a nice vibe!
Awesome, thank you!

I agree. Smaller size planes means I can bring many to the field.
Hi Steve.....Really a beautiful plain....Nice video.....

Good work captain.

Always cool information
Beautiful, thanks. Is that the plane they used in the movie, It's a mad, mad,....world?
So cool❤❤❤
Excellent review!
Thank you kindly!
Nice detail
class captain.
Scared because of cost.
Kids asked if you have any crash compilation videos thinking of making....we all know there is a couple out there :)

Sorry, I have not used that drone for several years so don't recall. I'm sure I made vids on this long ago and they exist on the channel.
Watching this plane was like watching an old B&W movie...
So cool 😎
It Resembles Amelia Earhart's plane. I like it. A good learner plane ok cool.
can you put a camera inside of the cockpit
Yes, if desired.
Wow! All those planes. How did you get away with it? Your wife must be very understanding. Lol.
That's why they are placed on the garage wall and out of the way of her feet.... Keeps everyone happy.
People being so entitled, they think they are "worth" spying on :D Always amuses me.
Yup, boggles the mind
They parrot heads who automatically believe whatever crap the corporate media spews at them.
Awesome!!!!
Hi! I'm from philippines I want to ask someting if is it good to fly drone(s6s drone) at rooftop, ist okay?
I’m not sure I understand your question. Do you want to fly an FPV drone with a 6s battery to inspect your roof?
Does this come with the controller ready to fly etc?
Nope. If you want a plane that comes with the transmitter, battery and battery charger you have to do a search for an RTF RC PLANE (RTF stands for READY TO FLY).
Cool engine
sweet music
Oh great, that's how my day can start. Cool video and a very interesting plane. ❤ I have one question though, is it difficult to land?
It lands on grass really well, and it pretty much glides without throttle so very easy to land.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 oh okay. Thank you very much!
I like the price

You forget to show what's comes in the box
For the RC Plane vids, I buy them all myself, and toss away the box, so by the time I make a vid, the box is long gone to the trash.
