Love is a language between people and including same sex relationships. By opening up this locked secrets and get accepted by families it will mean a lot to the gay couple, we can only hope that gay can begin to live a more dignified life after the repeal of 377A.
As if people want to be born different be it gay, autistic, Down Syndrome etc. Straight and normal people should be grateful to be born normal. In return be sympathetic and have empathy for people who are different.

@@LKJSPH sexual love between a consenting man and a consenting man is quite different to an incestual, pedophilic relationship due to factors like the authority an adult has over a child contra two men being able to either consent or not independantly of one another.
It says far more about your own views on people who are much more similar to you than you think when you draw the comparison of a homosexual relationship, to a pedophilic, incestual and predatory one.

Great milestone achieved for Singapore!
LGBT is about love among human individuals across genders, and understand about human differences. There is nothing wrong with it. I think people who come out as LGBT are the bravest and deserve our admiration. It is not easy. They are the tip of the iceberg while the rest are stealth and closeted, and hoping the community can fully accept them in daily life and workplace. The rest are still in constant struggle with coming out about their own identities.
Happy to see this video; and that gay people should be happy too. Just ignore those who oppose you based on whatever reasons. Gay people are part of the natural world and I accept them wholeheartedly.
Its lovely and heartwarming to see people being accepted and loved instead of pit against and being hated on.

We have to remember that these are people, these are individual human being with dreams, aspirations, hopes and struggles in life. Just like the rest of us. They just also happen to identify as LGBTQI. LGTQI people are family oriented too. Many of them want to start their own families. Many LGBTQI people also love their families are want strong ties with their families. There is so much love in these families featured

No reason to pass nasty remarks or shame on them as they don't harm other. Had a gay colleague in the past, he was normal like anyone else, his life is his no one has the right to dictate his way... Instead, sometimes think how will he cope later in life. Hope no LB?? Whatever the group called not to held protests or demand equality because discrimination is not there. While is it great that 377a will be repealed, I am not thanking PAP for doing it. The current government is doing to prevent 377a from being struck down in the Supreme Court. If that were to happen, it would also make it easier to challenge any discriminatory laws against the LGBTQ community. Gay marriage would become law much sooner.
Now with the impending change in the Constitution, it will make gay marriage much harder.

the society is more accepting of LGBT now than it was in the 80's. probably another 5 years, same sex marriage would be legalize.
the difficulty now is addressing the govt policy on the marriage requirement of the HDB BTO. As same sex marriages usually do not have larger families.
To all queer couples who do not have supportive parents/siblings - please, I implore you to get a Power of Attorney and Will set up, so that in case of a medical emergency, your life partner can be the one to make decisions for you. And should anything happen to you, you know that the law will be able to step in to ensure that your estate is passed to your life partner.

What I don't understand till now, is it a genetics disorder in their body or some genes gone mixed up as they are born? Because you are born genetically a male, you have all the proper male parts. Upon reaching a certain age, you feel attracted to the same sex. Can it be psycological influence to the mind? Or perhaps during childhood something happened? I need answers based on science. My take is that you are born a male, you stay that way. Like it or not, accept it, process it and move on.

I think you’re working primarily with the idea that same sex relationships are abnormal, which is not true! Heterosexual relationships being the sole norm was actually an idea brought in by the west during the colonization era. Same sex relationships were seen very differently and were part of many cultures around the world prior to colonization. So who’s to say what’s normal and what’s not? When it comes to attraction, humanity is just diverse like that, as people are diverse in so many other aspects too. Which i feel is a wonderful thing!
My belief is it's not a genetic disorder. It's nothing to do with genes. It's all to do with social conditioning (environmental exposures) and choices one makes from young. IOW be in a place where there's more gays, and there will be a higher chance the young will become gays when they grow up, but there will be some who won't be gay due to the little choices they have made since young. These little choices are extremely important and what makes a person. These little choices gets played out in your mind and becomes part of you. Makes sense?
Biological sex, sexuality and gender identity are not to be conflated. Also, you seem to conflate gender dsyphoria with same-sex attraction.

Disapproval does not tentamount to 'criminalizing', just like disapproving adultery or any moral behaviours does not tentamount to criminalizing. Please don't misuse verbs to your advantage.

Why is adultery brought to this? Adultery is an act, and it is immoral as it decreases well-being for the partner affected. Same sex attraction is an attraction, and the relationships between two consenting adults is the act. It is not immoral or moral to pursue a consenting relationship.

Just like the right to love as you said, it is also a religious right to preach marriage as defined by the religious teachings.
