Saw "Guardians of the Universe 3" last night in Hawaii. Cried during the credits after the movie when this song was played once again. Long live Redbone and this classic!!!!!
Tony was my neighbor for years.. He taught me to play guitar at 12 years old.. Still playing 41 years later! Tony was my playmate when I was a kid.. We would play music, play tennis, talk about girls.. One day, I played hookie from school.. I had built a go cart and Tony pushed me around in it the whole afternoon. Many memories with Tone..
I watch Tony in the videos and my heart melts, I'm looking at my son, Tony's, twin. They were grown men when my son was born, but you will be REALLY surprised if you check out magic videos of THE AMAZING ANTHONY on U Tube. Tony, meet Tony.

Thanks Tony and Pat for representing! Tony had to be thinking about Lolly singing this song. And of course we have Pat dancing and having a good time as usual. Redbone FOREVER 🔥
um me: “Shouldn’t be”? Sorry but, who are you to decide? Especially declaring “a people” shouldn’t be. Yah, some of them did some bad, bad stuff but there always other things “a people” do that are pretty good. Make sure too you aren’t relying on old, old stereotypes. That too general.
um me: Yes, you said they shouldn’t be proud. By putting one sentence after the other you’re setting up a logical sequence of thought. Then, now you ARE saying they should be ashamed. So, the Apache did have a reputation for being more violent, but when did that happen? If we take your heritage for example, why should people stop blaming you for what your ancestors did? You just have to be careful when you’re pointing your finger at someone based on assumptions.
um me: “Not all Native American Indians should be proud. There were very bad ones like the Apache.” And “But since you brought it up ...” Maybe English isn’t your first language but those quotes are saying it. I’m glad you rephrased it so you appear more polite.
Wayne Newton is very proud of his Native American heritage and had the distinguished honor of hosting the first ever “Native American Music Awards,” where he was voted the “Native American Entertainer of the Year.”
Yes Tony The T-Bone was my neighbor in the late eighties was the coolest taught me a lot licks old school chording...May you Soar with the Eagles....RIP
Lol.... You have to learn more history.... They are Yaquis ,they are native americans... Because they live in america honey.... I'm Yaqui and mexican by they way... so proud of it!
I am so sorry about lolly . Just reading about what was GOING on just getting back into old music some how redbone came up so i was listening and told my granddaughter about this group. I was so lucky to hear the REDBONE'S THANK U BOYS

I love this song, but I had never seen this group until tonight. I was amazed and very happy to find out they are Native Americans. There are a lot of groups and/or singers that I listened to when I was a teenager and after I became an adult that I had never seen. I really love this group.
Been viewing a lot of Redbone videos since I stumbled upon them a couple of weeks ago. While I absolutely fell in love with Lolly, Tony is just so scarily sexy! He is sooo hot! I love his individuality with his outfits that shows his ties to his proud ancestry. Even when he's not wearing a shirt! Or pants! Love seeing his naked legs under his Native American regalia! Love these guys. Let's get them in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! RIP Lolly & Tony! Aloha and Mahalo for sharing your talents to the world!
That bass surely swings..; redbone is so underestimated, their first 3 albums are gems, at the level of american horse, neil young and others and even better,, too bad they wasted their carreer after their 1973 successes with internal rife and mediocre albums, they truly were my favourite band
As a Caribbean steel drummer i was staying at same hotel as two tribes of real(not native) Americans in Switzerland in 90s at Vevey Riviera lodge. They adopted me and were so generous as a result I've always had a special place in my heart for them.Beautiful humble proud people. Love to catch up with them again.
I sure miss the original group. When Redbone come out with her first hits, I was on board 100%. I enjoy their music so much. I still do to this day. Even though Paul Revere and the Raiders was not Native American they put out one heck of a good song as well. Cherokee Nation.
Love ❤❤❤this. Tony did a great job . Watched every video and documentary I could find. Nobody comes close to the fine tunes they rocked! ❤❤❤❤❤So much history behind the music. Amazing guys.
Lolly was still unable to sing at the time due to a stroke. Tony RIP made the performance at our inaugural show in 1998 possible (Almost 20 years ago!)
Redbone, one of the "great" bands of Rock. I first saw them on the Midnight Special as a teen. I was nuts for there music from them on. They looked like they were having fun up their, for you.👍🇺🇲⭐😎🦌🏹🔆🎸🎸🎸🥁🎵
What held these guys back was the fact they were Native American. Its a damn shame too. This band could have gone very far in the music industry. But good old corporate America is as always a bunch of assholes. This band is truly one of my favorites.
Bullies don't want love to rule the world . They would loose all the power of forcing their will upon mankind . Hey no one is selling 2200000 album these days .
The FBI was watching the American Indian Movement, and Redbone hung out in Europe where they were extremely popular. In states, Pat & Lolly had done studio work & wrote songs, but the industry was very tough format to get your own music published back then.
A relative of Lolly and Pat's said that they had no Indian heritage whatsoever and they were 100% Mexican. A lot of their popularity came from the fact that they decided to conquer the world as a native American act. Their voices were amazing regardless. Nothing ever held them back because they were always doing concerts. Back then there was only three television networks but they were on television invited as guest to perform. So take your racism BS and go kick rocks. It isn't even true.
Tony did a great job on vocals! RIP Tony “T-Bone” Bellamy and RIP Lolly Vegas. We miss you both, thanks for the great music
Yall with the "R" have no IQ
Tony did a fine job. RIP T-Bone and Lolly. Loved your band.

redbone performing no lolly is about the same as ringo giving solo performance and billing it "the beatles"
Tony Bellamy was a fellow musician of mine when I lived in Vegas. We played many times together and he was a well rounded player. RIP Tony !
I am so proud of them. Thank you REDBONE.
