But the truth is, the Holy Spirit is already here. He came down from heaven at the Upper Room at Pentecost. And he never left!
Jesus promised, "I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you" (John 14:16--17).
Consider a phrase Jesus uses here: "But you know him." Recently, as I read those words for my study in preparing this message, I could not shake them off. I realized I really don't know much about the Holy Spirit.
The church talks a lot about the Spirit. We teach a doctrine of the Holy Spirit. We talk about being filled with the Spirit, walking and living in the Spirit, having the gifts of the Spirit, receiving the comfort of the Spirit.
Yet it's possible to know all the doctrines of the Holy Spirit and still not know him. If I were to ask you, "Have you received the Holy Spirit?" how would you answer?
Some might say, "Yes, I received the Spirit when Jesus saved me. It was the Holy Spirit that brought me into Christ's kingdom." Others would answer, "Yes, I have received the Spirit, because I spoke with tongues when he came into my life. I pray in the Spirit, and tongues are an evidence that I have received him."
However, to receive the Spirit is more than a one-time experience. The word "receive" means "lay hold of that which is given." In short, receiving is to desire an expanding capacity for greater knowledge of who the Spirit is and what his ministry is about. In fact, the Holy Spirit is not received by someone until he is allowed to take full control of that person's temple.
Paul asked the Galatians, "How did you receive the Spirit? Did you not receive him by faith?" He then declares, "You stated by faith that what you know of the Spirit you received by faith. So, has there been a continued 'ministry of the Spirit' to you by faith? Are you exercising faith to go deeper in the Spirit?"

David Wilkerson was the Founding Pastor of Times Square Church in New York City. He was called to New York in 1958 to minister to gang members and drug addicts, as told in the best-selling book, The Cross and the Switchblade.

I'm just going to say this.
Yesterday a person said true love is loving God.
I replied, I want to love God but he has never really reached out to me.
Well He just did. I asked God to show Himself to me. And he did through this preacher. I see God in Him. I understand.
I accepted Jesus as my Savior in 2006, but I never understood the Holy Spirit.
God broke me tonight. This was no mistake that I came here this evening. I am a son of the Living God.

The Holy Spirit DOES come and comfort us letting us know that we belong to God! I praise Him! .... I remember a time when I was working with children with special needs. The lady in charge was instructing me to do something that was not right concerning one of the children and I was really troubled over it, so much so that one day I spoke up. However, others were present and she was made to look bad. I didn't speak up intentionally, it just came out of frustration. Afterwards, this lady started giving me a hard time. I would be feeding one of the children and she would be talking about me with others and I could hear them laughing. It hurt me so much that my eyes swelled up with water and I was about to break down and cry, but then all of a sudden I heard "No!" It startled me and I sat there with amazement. Then I heard "You're a child of the King!" .... That was the Holy Spirit who spoke to me that day. He knew that I was about to break down in front of those women and I believe the Lord didn't want them to have the satisfaction to see me do so. Also, when He told me that I was a child of the King, everything changed that day. No more could she break my heart. I KNEW WHO I WAS and that made all the difference in the world. I finished out my job that year. Also, God interceded and removed that woman from her place of authority over the children. Praise God!
John 14 : 25 - 31 " I have spoken these things to you while I am still with you. The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I have said."

Last night, I was reading the news and all of a sudden I felt the oncoming of a anxiety attack they usually happen for some reason only yesterday it happened out of the blue,perhaps it was because of the news as we know our world is truly full of the wrong spirits.It became a battle to drown out the evil spirit inside me as my heart began to pound I thought I might be losing it I picked up my bible and asked the Lord to save me from it, I honestly felt frightened I was led to PROVERBS chapter 1 and 2 I have to 1st admit I'm very new in finding God I had never experienced the holy ghost ever until last night and then again this morning watching this video when David prayed at the end all of a sudden I found myself in tears as David invited the holy spirit into our hearts..I pray that I will continue on this road.God bless David and thank you so much for sharing th8s amazing video..
Shylo Duffy, thanks for that, I get them, too. I’m disabled, live alone, things can get pretty crazy and fear will build. Once an anxiety attack hits... you know how it is. It’s a comfort to hear others share their experiences, even that can help, and help fend them off in the first place.
I also found out that dehydration makes it worse and magnesium deficiency as well... and dehydration can build histamine levels which also aggravates them, so sometimes a little tiny bit, not too much, of an anti-histamine will also help the physical things that make them worse. We have to keep our body from those triggers and then we are better able to handle the spiritual aspects.
Also, especially 5G, but really any wireless also causes a great deal of anxiety, so by all means, turn it off when you go to sleep, and put your devices on airplane mode, especially if you’re like me and you have more than one device by your bed. Otherwise, you’re giving the enemy an extra portal to attack

Yes, but only as long as one does follow His advice and teachings. The Lord Jesus compared the Holy Spirit with a dove. A dove is very careful and awaiting what you will do. One unexpected movement and the dove will take off fast. It takes some time for the Spirit to see through your actions, your choices and your openness for His contributions. He is so worth your efforts !

I just relized thru my life of all diffrent churches ive attended, and its sad how few sermons are about getting to understand the personality of THE HOLY SPIRIT. Which helps us to understand Jesus and our father in heaven better!!! Lots of religion needing the power !!! The Holy spirit was sent to be with us as Jesus went back to heaven! We christian s Need to wake up !!! Groaning for that !!!
If you want more of the Holy Spirit turn off the Christian music that's not your comforter switch to a station with some preaching 10 sermons a day will make you grow faster hearing the word always constant growth doesn't mean you don't make mistakes and go backwards but the constant hearing of the word will keep you moving forward gaining the knowledge along the Narrow Path amen all glory be to God the Father our Holy Father amen

I know the Holy Spirit as I believe the Word the Father has spoken ( His commands ) not the Ten Commandments but the Word of God. God who said " Hope makes no one ashamed for the love of God is poured forth into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who is given to us" the manifestation of this Word of faith the Word of truth is brought to fruition by Him who agrees with the Father and the Word; the Holy Spirit. No one can know the Holy Spirit except he obey/ believes the Word of God; for how else can you believe except by the Holy Spirit?

I pray that I may be correct on maybe knowing the Holy Spirit. Today for example I prayed Psalm 143 in Jesus' name, and a few minutes later I heard Isaiah 41: 10 in my spirit...Is this the Holy Spirit? Jesus said He will bring to remembrance everything I have said. (John 16: 13-15)

Amen!!! When I first got saved, the HOLY SPIRIT said to me: "Don't look back. Remember Lot's wife." HE also said to me as I was working in a friend's flower garden: "Just as you are digging the weeds out by the roots one at a time,, so will I cleanse you from the roots and it will take some time. " This wasn't an audible voice, it was in my heart- my spirit and I spoke it out. HIS presence is awesome!!! This is what kept me going. knowing HE was with me and cleansing me from the inside out .

Thinking it was my dad calling through a small window from outside I quickly ran out the door. No one was there. I ran as fast as I could clear around the house. No one was found. I came back ik inside. A voice said, Why do you look, I am here. The voice seemed to come from the CHRIST-mas tree. I looked all around the tree. No one found. The voice asked, Will you follow me? No, you're not, you deceiving spirit and/or person. Yes, the Holy Spirit wouldn't just come upon filthy people, but the Word of God (which is Jesus Christ), through faith, cleanses us so we are not only worthy of salvation and eternal life (through Him), but also to receive the gift of Holy Spirit to guide us, sanctify us and give us power to witness Christ.
We are not to speak directly to the Holy Spirit. (having a conversation with the Holy Spirit) We must speak to God the Father in the Name of Jesus, but nowhere are we instructed to address the Holy Spirit directly. He guides us but we talk to God. The duty of the Holy Spirit is to reveal Jesus.
John 16:13 ESV When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.

+Samuel Hansen It's in ACTS. How the Holy Spirit came in the upper room when the disciples were praying. They started praising Him in "unknown language (tongues)".........The Lord allowed this so the devil can't understand. It's really quite miraculous. One day I was crying and praising God. Then I started praising Him with an unknown language. I searched the web and it sounded like Ancient Hebrew.

There was absolutely zero Gospel in that sermon. Yes, he did say the name Jesus often and the Jesus is the Son of God, and he did edge on the Gospel one time when he mentioned the blood of Jesus, but it was said kind of in passing and very very briefly. He did however tell us a ton of law and gave us many requirements for having salvation. By saying we have to allow the HS to live in us and ask for the personal relationship with Jesus. By the way, these things are absolutely not Biblical at all! No where in the Bible does it say that we have to allow the HS to dwell in us, and nowhere in Scripture does it say to invite the HS or Jesus into our live and to have a personal relationship.
Yes, we are Sons of God by faith that is given by the HS through the Word. But we are not like Jesus as the “only” begotten “Son of God”!! We are adopted as Sons by faith through the Word. Jesus could resist the Devil completely and entirely because He is the only begotten Son of God! That means that Jesus is God! We are sons by adoption and are not divine like Jesus. In other words, we are not God. His teaching about the way we are Sons of God is heresy, it is a false teaching as is his teachings that make us responsible for allowing the HS to dwell in us and asking Jesus into our live! The context of Romans 8 is that we are Sons of God as in heirs of God not that we have Jesus’ qualities and able to do the things that Jesus does.
The Gospel is that Jesus lived perfectly because we can’t (required for salvation), in other words Jesus fulfilled the Law of God in our place for us because we can’t. Then Jesus took our Sin upon himself and died in our place. We are the ones that deserved to be punished, but in love for mankind God sent His only begotten Son into the world to be Sin for us, in our place and take our punishment upon himself. Lastly, Jesus rose from the grave for us to defeat or destroy sin, death, and the power of the devil to give us the. Victory of life everlasting in Glory with Jesus. By hearing the preaching of this Word of Jesus we are given faith through the work of the Holy Spirit. The HS is there to lead us to and point us to Jesus and to give us faith. To bring our spirit alive through His Word. Because by nature (Eph 2) our spirit is born dead to sin and enemies of God. On our own we are dead and spiritually opposed to God. It is by the HS working through the Word that faith is made alive in us. Like a seed is dead and comes to life by something outside of it (water, sun, etc). Our seed of faith is dead and comes to life by something outside of us which is the work of the Holy Spirit through the hearing of the Word - Romans 10. That is the Gospel. Non of this was said in the sermon. I pray that this does not fall on deaf ears and the true Gospel of Jesus is heard. In Jesus name, Amen!

the Holy Spirit is of purity, purity of mind, heart and motives. He doesn't involve or dwell in us if we have or continue in uncleanness and sinful desires that are not confessed and repented..
