This game was so ahead of its time. I get goosebumps and feel nostalgic whenever I think about the good old days when I used to play Dying Light. My favourite game. Thank you Techland for this piece of artwork.

They deleted almost everything that came before Lightfall and instead made a 15min boring basic dungeon with a 5min cutscene resuming everything in each one. Also, correct me if im wrong anywhere, they still charge full price for each expansion pre-Lightfall, so not only you could say "Im scammed" but they stomp a paywall in your face for it. As I say: this is what I know and remember when I tried it, search info on your own and you, probably, will find maybe the same or a least shitty reality than the one I remember.

I'm so looking forward to dying light the Beast and hopefully they add the same attention to details that they added in the first Dying light game into it and learn from the mistakes they made in Dying light 2 fingers crossed. ☺️

FUN FACT #1: The 13th floor is always loade when you're in the tower even when you can visit it only once. FUN FACT #2: While you're in the tower, what you can see outside is not a simple skybox, but a physical model of the city in extremely low resolution. You can also see the old town behind the bridge in the same style.
In dying light the following, you could grab a ratchet wrench to fix some pipes across the map, from waht i remember there were no rewards fro doing it, you can find videos showing the locations of the ratchet wrench
For the TV Warning part, I think this was the only time they used the word “zombie” to call the infected. Throughout the game, I don’t think anyone ever called them “zombies”.
Love that as you go through story missions and side quests, or run into new infected, it adds collectibles to the room. Little info notes all over, posters, action figures, drawings, letters all related to different parts of each. It's really cool by the time you get the achievement for completing everything.
The biggest secret of them all is how Crane got rid of that unique “volatile” look since the cannon ending doesn’t involve nuking himself. I’ve got to know what lotion he’s using!

I heard about virals, i was attacking viral 1 hit says no STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY start screaming become virals again that survivor try survive in harran without bite, i running in old town there was person sitting in street turning virals attack kyle crane this is heartbreaking
I still remember the first time playing this, and being blown away at how great it looked, the oppressive and terrifying atmosphere, and the weighty weapons. Man, the melee fighting was so damn good, and still is some of the best I've ever played to this day.
Funny enough i bougth dying ligth 1 with all his dlcs a year ago while it was in discount and still didint played it and as a funny coincidence i started playing it only the day that dying ligth the beast was announced But yeah the game is amazing

Games like this you make a bond between is rare. once every decade I would say. First Half life 2 and second Alan Wake after 10 years and Dying Light after 7 years. My relationship with these games are too strong. It's like an organic connection between us. Textures, enviromental sounds and colors are extremely close to the world I would like to be in. offers to muchmore meaning to me than the world I'm actually in. It's like an escape plan from reality. That's why we love games. It's a sweet break from reality for a moment.
This game was when gaming was at its peak. Solid controls, not too many bugs, well supported, fleshed out, lots to explore, fun to play…we seem to have taken a few steps back these days
Where is that hunted house located? After I finish every single mission, do I have to keep exploring around until I find those places inside the harran city map of course or what can I do?
Also There are Far Cry references too... i saw some ropes hanging around like in the far cry, i suddenly stop and wait there for some time, try to kick the rop down or climb there 100 times
4:55 there is a guy that has a safe area and sell stuff on a broken roadway or something in the DLC The Following, and close to that safe area were a Demolisher up on the other side of the roadway. Instead of fighting him, i baited him to run after me so i dodged and made him fall off the roadway and die instantly
The zombie thing witht hem regaining consciousness is crazy. I jsut noticed this mechanic yesterday and was like wtf am i hearing weird stuff in the zombie screams
4:54 Like a week ago I FINished DL: The following and i was doing that mission I left and came back after seeing the big guy then went too the wall and he came for me and then I hid behind the wall facing him. Picked up a rock and then the rock was so heavy he just fell into the water like an idiot
honestly if dying light 1 and 2 were combined into one game with the best elements of both in it (because yes i do believe dying light 2 has at least a couple things that it did better than the first game) it'd go so unbelievably hard. one example of a feature that i think dying light 2 did better which i honestly dont see being discussed as much as i would expect these days is the weapon mods, specifically being able to trigger them manually and having different methods of doing so. funnily enough you can actually see brecken manually activating a weapon mod (the shock wrench thing) in the "run boy run" trailer for dying light 1 which wouldnt actually be a thing until years later. heres to hoping that dying light: the beast wont be a buggy mess at release (at least not as bad as dying light 2 was) and that it combines the best of dying light 1 and 2.

DL2 has a better environment, but DL1 has a FAR better atmosphere

You can play guitar in the tower. Go there often, do it gain and again. And then you play a full melody after some tries.
Dying light 1 was absurdly ambitious, it felt glorious at the time but knowing this puts it into perspective. Woefully underrated game ❤😢
I really like the apartment saferoom evolution. As alot of the changes are not only tied to main quest progress, but also in sidequests completion.
I believe that for the TV Cartoons playing survival tips. It is always playing before brecken breaks that TV early on in the game

I actually knew about the reflections already, no matter what you are wearing any outfit the reflection always shows dirty clothes.
