Another good location for herbs is the first antenna you go to when starting the "Pact with Rais" story quest, it's unmarked on the map but the area with the metal railings and fences will have plenty of herbs.
That is my go-to spot. You can get the fenced herbs, then gather the ones outside. Once you are done, the one inside the fenced area are respawned. Happy picking. I picked up a 1000 herbs that way in 1 sitting. Medkits for days.
I love videos like this idk why, i also love watching your casual playthroughs when you point out locations or random tips. Although when going to xbox to plau this game for achievements i did just use the duplication glitch to get powerful faster which is also another really nice thing about dying light, although obviously not intended
Good video. One thing about the looting that i think is bad is that the weapons you can find are very limited by the level or progress we have in our playthrough, the problem is mostly in the end game or higher levels since you only find a couple of diffrent weapons and few of them are apocalyptic looking, they glow or they are just weapons you wouldnt find in a zombie apocalypse.
Great guide! One thing I'd like to add for the Stuffed Turtle 3 DROP farm is to grappling hook to the 1st DROP, then aim your hook just to the right of the electrical panel to land safely on the pallet. Turn off the power, and then you can easily collect the remaining two drops. I also prefer just doing the short run back to the door instead of quitting out; it seems a bit faster for me. Once you practice it several times, it's almost longer for it to load than it is to do the actual run through the DROP gathering! ETA: The reason I turn the power off is because it saves you from having to burn a medkit every few runs from incidental electricity damage if your grappling hooks aren't on point.
I used the Stuffed turtle to quickly farm for lvls to be able to get the grappling hook in that forever day cycle during the first mission, on my 2nd playthrough.
i would genually like to know the reason as to why you can not grapple on certain locations. you would think the game would have some sort of "check" that stats "player has grapple hook in their invintory, therfore let them grapple across the bridge" but no. you have to jump off and pray you land your grapple in time

For players farming drops, I do recommend to grapple to the power and turn it off and on top of grabbing the 3 drops in the first room, also loot the cash registers. It adds about 5 seconds per run to gain about $200. There are also 2 lockpicks next to the power that you can pick up in like 2 seconds. You need 6577 drops to get to Legend 250 on Nightmare. If you have the Winter Warrior outfit, get it too for 20% XP. Doing this farm will also grant you plenty of agility XP. Once done, spend the money on the first floor of the tower by sleeping twice, buying and selling from the shop, visit the quarter master and repeat. It is slower than other farms, but you can get everything except for herbs, boosters and king mods. Just buy enough for 1 rifle and 1 melee weapon. Make sure you have some UV flares too. Then just do Prison Heist for additional weapons and mods, plus other resources. If you do this, you are set very fast.
the 2nd location in the camp is ideal place for massive loots including strong weapons but without camouflage skill it will be difficult to loot from the vans
Hey Aussie! I’ve just stumbled onto your dying light gameplay! I have a single question for you as an aspiring apex predator; would you ever consider making a night hunter gameplay tutorial? I’ve been watching game after game and trying to follow along with your monstrous stratagems but I’m getting to caught up in all the different actions
For the herb location, I found a better one. It's near the antenna tower to the northwest. You can just grab all the herbs in there and along the riverbed. And come straight back to the fenced area. Also you forget the good electronics stash. The slums also have a few locked doors in the beginning of the game, like the one in the basement with the hanging dude, and on the roof near Rais. But for the rest a great loot guide.
@@skifullydone8165 I didn’t want to talk about the locked areas since they’re not accessible by players all the time. I prefer the herb area I highlighted because it’s so centralized and close to the tower that you pass by it all the time (and it’s fairly close to the pharmacy loot house). I didn’t mention the electronics stash with the goon near the fisherman’s village tho, yeah.
If you do protection for the "fishing guy", who collects worms right outside of Breckens tower, his path will naturally lead you to the house with the gun.
I like to use the spot of beach just down from the "game end" house for really early game algae, I tend to find if I'm lucky that there can be around 10 all in the shallow area, and any biters can be thrown/kicked into the water for easy points.
Whats the best weapon you can craft with those bundle bleuprints? Got DL definitive edition this year. No regrets and loving every moment of it but all those bundles and things is a lot to figure out. Lots of fun. Just looking for good weapons that you can craft
The best weapon blueprints from all the DLC are: - Ranger Bow - Corrupted Justice (Hellraid reward) - LED Meta Bow - Volatile Hunter Baton - Torn Whisper - Volkan Combat Assault Rifle
I got 457 Hours on this game And know everyloot spot and everything i need to know So i dont really know why am i watching this but Its still a pretty cool video Its gonna help someone who is new to dying light 😁
how can you buy all weapons with the trader ? When I trade with them, I usually have just less than 10 weapons and that's it. I never have all the weapons I can take but just a few
Weapons in the shop are dependent on player level, so you’d get way more variety at max Survivor level than you would at level 1. Not 100% sure if difficulty factors into the shop availability (though I know that you can’t buy gun ammo on Hard)
Stuffed Turtle gives boost to my level at the very beginning of the campaign it is much better to shut the electricity off and loot the atm and the cashier and don't forget the lock picks
Aussie On the Three Moons Restaurant when you are coming back out when finishing the mission, negotiating the shelf stand on the way out you can jump up into another room but can't get out. Have you experienced this. 👍
Here's a little fact ik works or atleast for ps you don't have to day reset for shops ik because a weapon didn't spawn in day so I sleped once till night and it spawned

@@yassen127 If you want gold tier firearms (including the engraved semi auto shotgun) you have to play Be The Zombie, the PvP mode. You can randomly earn gold weapons there when you rank up to Underdog, including gold guns. But the chances are very small.
:36 I remember a few years ago there was a glitch where you could loot that place over and over but then I went back to it a few months later and it was patched
You can buy them from shops as long as you're not playing on Hard difficulty. You have to be a minimum Survivor level for ammo to start spawning in shops though and idk the exact level. Otherwise some missions and quest areas have ammo boxes lying around here and there.
@AussieGG I see, I have checked out the shops but they just seem to sell pistol, rifle and shotgun ammo, maybe the survivor level is too high 🤔 l wanted to make the German/American silencer pistol but it requires 9mm, thanks for replying and helping me out.
@@wondersnevercease3967 Oh if you’re talking about subsonic ammo, you can sometimes find it inside police vans, but it’s very rare. Prison Heist vault room has a bunch of lockers that can have subsonic ammo inside. There’s also a blueprint for the ammo which you can obtain if you track and complete the “Snake In The Grass” bounty from the bounty board.
oh maybe you can confirm or deny something here, Aussie... ive heard from some people that chests you open, vans you open and such, even tool boxes you kick open and medical cabnets. ive heard they refill after 4 or 5 in game days? is this true or do they refill after sleeping twice?
00:30 - or, you could be a sweaty try-hard like me, and just tic-tac up the wall. 01:45 - Same goes for the infamy bridge. :P Anyway, this is the big reason why Dying Light is such a compulsive play for me. The combat is fun. But if I'm not in the mood, just running around, getting into places, and picking up stuff is a fun enough way to cool off. And that the game is still rewarding from just running/climbing around(parkour xp) and picking stuff up(loot, weapons, crafting items).
does the quartmaster reset trick increase my chances of finding a gold tier firearm at a store/shop? i have never seen any gold tier weapons outside of dockets and some ppl claim they may sometimes have a gold tier weapon/gun?
Gold tier guns (and melee weapons) never spawn in shops. The highest rarity you can get is orange. The only way to get gold tier weapons outside of Dockets is through Prison Heist (Guru reward vault room), Be The Zombie post-match rewards (but you have to be at least Underdog rank and higher, and even then it's RNG), or from Hard locked chests on Nightmare (this one never happens to me anymore, not for years. I wonder if that's been patched).
It's just so sad that we have community that doesn't wanna share anything that we must loot certain things by ourselves, and no, I'm not talking about crafting matters or medic kits, I'm talking about op weapons that most of us are having, and my opinion is we can't get it by just playing, i think that developers itself are giving that to players, because Noone is that much generous to give to anyone especially to one's that we don't know an op weapon that we earned so hard, so developers, try to keep this game alive and grant us some good op weapons from time to time, this game is maybe old but it's a GG
If only i have found this early 😭 just bought the game on steam because it's on sale (not a remake one). Sorry about my name, I'm just stupid to think for one.
i disagree about the herbs there is a better spot near the first tower you have to turn on in pact with rais there is wayyyyy more there and if you go like 100 meters away and come back they will respawn
Legend levels buff melee weapon damage displayed, so you can get weapons that go that high. Gold Tier weapons can be earned from Bozak Dockets, and most of them are top tier.
This may sound like a real stupid question but after working hard to reach the level where I could get the grappling hook and doing so I can't figure out how to use it! At first I tried everything but after a while just moved on hoping that I might accidentally trigger it some time and solve the issue. That hasn't happened so I thought maybe I need to reach some point in the game before it becomes available? I haven't heard anyone say anything like that. What's the deal? Sure wish i could use it. Any help would be great, thanks in advance.
The grappling hook is a utility item, so you need to equip it into one of your 4 equipment slots to use it. If you don't have it, but you have the skill, then a grappling hook should be available to get for free from any Quartermaster (or stash, but I'm not 100% sure about stashes).
@@AussieGG thanks, I connected my controller and it worked great (PC user) but not with the keyboard, tried several bindings but nothing, then I figured it out, like you said, place it in an equip slot first. TY

The best weapon blueprints from all the DLC are:
- Ranger Bow
- Corrupted Justice (Hellraid reward)
- LED Meta Bow
- Volatile Hunter Baton
- Torn Whisper
- Volkan Combat Assault Rifle
@@AussieGG oh kk thank you bro
Stuffed Turtle gives boost to my level at the very beginning of the campaign it is much better to shut the electricity off and loot the atm and the cashier and don't forget the lock picks
Aussie On the Three Moons Restaurant when you are coming back out when finishing the mission, negotiating the shelf stand on the way out you can jump up into another room but can't get out. Have you experienced this. 👍
I think you can also glitch out you inventory and hold more that the number you can carry
thanks for the guide! new to the game and really like what you do, just wondering tho what game do you like more the first or the second :0
The first for sure
How do you deal with intense skill issue? I tent to suffer from that when i play bozak horde and prison heist.
When you play more and more, you’ll get more familiarized and better at the game.
@@AussieGG the problem is i have 100+ hours and i still suck
@@Cnsmf868really dude? I am only been like 30hr in and already beat that in single player (i was in normal difficulty tho)
@@soulghost9718 maybe i should use guns more, and i play on very hard
@@Cnsmf868 ok make sence
Some of this i know off but mostly idk off thank you for this gude
I really like this kind of loot
Idk why noone mentions it but you can cross the bridge by just going up the thick cables. Crossing it while crouching is easier.
That works but I never really do that method as it’s risky af and if you fuck up its GG
I only go to the pharmacy because it will always spawn an electronic in it
toxic lichen spot respawns if you go to blue bags of trash (back were you came from), then you can collect all the lichen, repeat. 8 years later btw 👤
Yeah I forgot to mention that if you go far enough, a lot of the plant spawns reset.
Hey just replaying this game because I don’t remember a single thing. So watching this in 2024 hopefully the tips are still relevant!
These tips will always be revelant now that the game has stopped getting updates.
@@AussieGG is that you narrating the video!
Yes
@@AussieGG subbed
Also antennas are great way to get good weapon and medkits with some resources
Here's a little fact ik works or atleast for ps you don't have to day reset for shops ik because a weapon didn't spawn in day so I sleped once till night and it spawned
I downloaded the enchanced edition and this looks hard.
Once you get used to it you should be fine
Thnx
i was like "nooo it's daytime, volatiles gonna smack him" but then i remembered that it's the first game😅
Someone knows how to solve the "The game you are trying to join is no longer available" glitch? Im trying to play dl with my friends but i get this text every time and cant join them or they cant join me
And yes we alredy have the same config
How can i re-spawn the loot fastes if i alr looted
Do i just get to load my gameplay again?
In stuffed turtle for you why did the viral not spawn when you went near loot room door and into it?
I cut to when I already killed all the 5-6 virals that spawn there lol
hey aussie do you know how to get the legendary engraved semi auto shotgun please?
Buy it from shops, they spawn when you’re Survivor level 25
@@AussieGG but i want the yellow version please help man 🥲
@@yassen127 If you want gold tier firearms (including the engraved semi auto shotgun) you have to play Be The Zombie, the PvP mode. You can randomly earn gold weapons there when you rank up to Underdog, including gold guns. But the chances are very small.
@@AussieGG thanks bro for your time
great video! next you should make a btz guide showing all the best weapons and best strats for certain things newer players might struggle with
It was initially planned, but I'll prob stick to PvE stuff for now.
@@AussieGG oh ok well keep up the great work!
:36 I remember a few years ago there was a glitch where you could loot that place over and over but then I went back to it a few months later and it was patched
Does anyone know how to buy bundles in a country where they don't exist in the Playstation shop cause I can't buy them
HEY Aussie when does the loots (in boxes, vans, trunks, cash register or any other loots in the selfs) respawn any idea??
It’s not really 100% confirmed when they respawn tbh, but it’s dependent on ingame time
Where do you get the 9mm ammo? I still can't find any and no sources say anything, or, not that I can find, can you help me out please?
I have two maps in the game. Is there a third map? 8:54
That is The Following, which is the story DLC for Dying Light.
Can you make a video about the duplication glitch u used in ur speedrun?
I cover it in my Any% speedrun tutorial on my channel.
oh maybe you can confirm or deny something here, Aussie... ive heard from some people that chests you open, vans you open and such, even tool boxes you kick open and medical cabnets. ive heard they refill after 4 or 5 in game days? is this true or do they refill after sleeping twice?
I think it's after 4 or 5 game days
They will be locked but they will be empty
For me it takes a day to refill
It's complicated, nothing really confirmed or concrete, but it's dependant on game time spent yeah
Day? I thought they refill when u go far enough from them i guess no
00:30 - or, you could be a sweaty try-hard like me, and just tic-tac up the wall.
01:45 - Same goes for the infamy bridge. :P
Anyway, this is the big reason why Dying Light is such a compulsive play for me. The combat is fun. But if I'm not in the mood, just running around, getting into places, and picking up stuff is a fun enough way to cool off. And that the game is still rewarding from just running/climbing around(parkour xp) and picking stuff up(loot, weapons, crafting items).
Yeah, TicTac is useful there, and you can also go up the support wires for the bridge if you want but that's prob my least favourite method
boutta replay from level 1
Thanks matr
wouldn't getting the 3 packages in stuffed turtle and then leaving and going back in be faster?
Not if your loading speed is fast enough
As someone doing hard mode. Thats the thing i absolutely hate 8:45
Such an odd design choice
does the quartmaster reset trick increase my chances of finding a gold tier firearm at a store/shop? i have never seen any gold tier weapons outside of dockets and some ppl claim they may sometimes have a gold tier weapon/gun?
Gold tier guns (and melee weapons) never spawn in shops. The highest rarity you can get is orange. The only way to get gold tier weapons outside of Dockets is through Prison Heist (Guru reward vault room), Be The Zombie post-match rewards (but you have to be at least Underdog rank and higher, and even then it's RNG), or from Hard locked chests on Nightmare (this one never happens to me anymore, not for years. I wonder if that's been patched).
How long does it take for items to refresh because i save quite a bit and still nothing
Does every police van, hard lock chest and gre chest respawn after a day
I'm not exactly sure of the ingame time needed for container items to respawn, sadly.
@@AussieGG nah I don't need need exact timing i wanna know that it does respawn if we have taken the loot from it
@@uday2203 Yes, all loot respawns (except very specific ones like the Ozman stashes)
@@AussieGG thanks man
LOOT HOUSE!!!
The bolter glich also works at bridge
Anyways, thank you for the guide!
i disagree about the herbs there is a better spot near the first tower you have to turn on in pact with rais there is wayyyyy more there and if you go like 100 meters away and come back they will respawn
how did you get 3000+ damage weapons?
TY
You can just leave stuffed turtle and go back in and they respawn. Faster grinding
It's slower if your PC or console loads slow, but otherwise it's faster to quit out.
