I just came off birth control 3 months ago after being on it for 10 years!!
I was so worried about getting bad acne but to be honest nothing happened! I feel amazing. Lost 10lbs instantly in water weight, happier, feel lighter, less foggy and have had two natural periods on the exact same date last month and this month which only lasted 3-4 days.

My skin is more sensitive then it was on birth control but it doesn’t bother me. Just cant eat any dairy anymore unfortunately. But yes I feel so much better in general, more energy and less mood swings!

If I remember from your earlier videos you were on the arm implant, nexplanon. I had always been so scared to go on hormonal birth control because of the horror stories I heard. However, since I don’t want a child right now , I needed a reliable game plan to prevent it. I have been on a very low dose pill,Junel, and I have not noticed anything awful. I actually don’t even get periods anymore. The biggest side effect over the years was low energy, which is noticeable. But I’m glad to hear your mood improved so much! Hormones are so important. Hopefully you can do some research and have preventative measures that work for you. I know IUDs are a fan favorite of my friends. It’s great to see you so happy!!

I definitely had the same experience once getting off of birth control. I was on it for 10 years, and during that time, my anger, depression and anxiety were absolutely insane. It definitely ultimately contributed to all of my breakups, but in the end every thing turned out how it was supposed to ❤
I had a similar experience with birth control. Was on it for 10 years and towards the last few years I became VERY emotional and sad for no real reason… felt like I was drowning but couldn’t understand why.
A friend suggested getting off the pill (she had a similar experience) and I’m SO grateful I did. After a few months I started to feel more in tune with my body and mood. One of the best decisions I made for my mental health.

It's crazy I was off birth control for like 5 years and went back on it recently and my periods aren't nearly as bad and my fatigue is gone. Crazy how it affects some of us so differently because I feel so much better taking it granted I'm older now so I think age, weight and other things can also effect how it works with your body.
Absolutely! For some people it totally wrecks them, but for others it literally gives them their life back! Everyone just needs to find the methods that work best with their body, which may or may not include hormones
@@hailey2475 Right I always tell people to work with their doctor through this because it could be that they need to be off it or they need non hormonal. It's so interesting, but I'm so happy the fatigue is gone it really was killing my at work not being able to get anything done because I just couldn't stay awake.

The tyre inflators in Australia are all free to use and either have a built in pressure gauge in the nossle or you can set your desired pressure on the machine before filling your tyres and it will cut off the air and beep at you when it's reached the set pressure

I’m American and every tire inflator I’ve used has had a built in pressure gauge and beeps when it reaches the pressure you set. I’ve never seen one like the one she used 😂 bad luck I guess

OMGOODNESS girl!!😢 On this last Halloween I literally fainted and woke up on the floor. Ended up in ER because I could not put weight on my foot, it was crazy painful, and bones were moving in my ankle when I felt of it. Broke both sides of the ankle and a bone down my outer left foot. They put plates and screws in both sides of the ankle. In 3.5 months the foot bone had no signs of healing when they x-rayed it again, which they said would heal while being immobilized after ankle surgery. Took me back to surgery in Feb and put a plate and screws in the foot bone. Finally today I saw the doc and he said I can start slowly adding weight back onto it and physical therapy. Haven't had the foot to the ground since Halloween🤦♀️🤷♀️ I hope yours isn't broken. Definitely go get it checked because they have a small window after a break to get it into surgery before it starts healing all jacked up.🙏🏼❤️😇 Lost my job when I sent in the paperwork from the doc saying I was having foot surgery after I had been out so long after the first surgery for the ankle. They just said they needed to let me go. Has completely ruined my life in 5 months time. I'll be thinking happy thoughts for you. Please update us all soon out here. I know we all care very much for your health and safety girl😇💕 Tell Squish he has to be taking care of you and treating you good while you're down🤣
I sprained my ankle after twisting it play-wrestling with my bf and it was sore and bruised and swollen for a whole week. iced it and rested and it’s fine now! take care ❤

Birth control is WILD for emotions! I was on it for probably 10 years, stopped it for my mood and years later went back on thinking emotional maturity might have helped and once I noticed the same mood changes, I immediately got off! It made me more quick triggered and aggravated while on birth control! I can totally relate to the peace and calmness you're feeling! So happy you figured this out for yourself as well! XOXO

Going off bc changed my life, honestly. I look back on that decade and realize I was just wading through a fog of pure misery. My cycle is difficult now, but I’ll take the few days of agony a month over the daily mental hell I was in previously.

Once I got on birth control, I also had to get on anxiety meds & and an antidepressant. Took me 2 years to figure out birth control caused all my problems!!!!

When I finally came of BC because it was seriously messing with me so much after trying so many different ones, I eventually got diagnosed with PCOS. Had no clue because BC masks so much of it and so I've been on a loong journey to reverse my symptoms but my period cramps (when I eventually get a period which is STRESSFUL when you're on day 40 and it still hasn't shown itself....) are the worst every so often. But I think mostly down to stress to be honest, but yeah BC is the worst for those with endocrine disorders if you don't know how to manage your symptoms properly whilst you're on it!
*birth control was the devil for me. i’ve been off for 5 years now & i swear it’s a reason im currently infertile. i had two babies in the same year - got the IUD right after baby 2 and had horrible side effects. got it removed & now infertile + haven’t been able to conceive at all. probably one of my biggest regrets. my hormones and everything are much more stable and emotions are a lot more manageable too being off so i’m thankful for that.* 💕

Giiiirl !!!!! Love enci, it’s my old home. I worked off of J street at lemongrass salon/spa. Highly recommend going for self care, best massages and chakra bed ! For the beaches there go to local areas instead of Moonlight, you’ll have less crowds and softer sand without rocks. Leucadia has some of the best hidden surf spots and the most ideal for nice beaches. & sunset cliffs in OB for secret beach areas too! I’m ready to come to SD and show you all the places to go 😂🫶🏼

Also, having to paid for air is wild. In Australia it's a free machine at all petrol stations
In the UK when you connect the air pipe to your tyres, it tells you on the screen what the pressure is currently and beeps when it gets to the desired pressure… isn’t that the same in the US?
Some have them and others don't. It really depends on the place 🤷
My periods are so much better without birth control too! Birth control can be so hard on our hormones, unfortunately. For my cramps on the first day I switched from ibuprofen to the period patch, it is AMAZING! And during my luteal phase off days I use the calm patch, they are great.
I felt absolutely insane on hormonal birth control too! I switched to a non hormonal one and ten years in, no complaints
I also feel much more stable emotionally and physically healthy off the pill.
Tyre pressures - in Australia the service station air pumps have digital or mechanical gauges on them so you know how much pressure you’re putting in!!
Lol the tire pressure story reminds me of when I had my first car and I over inflated the tires. I literally BOUNCED down the road 😂😂😂😂 funniest thing ever. Please look on the side panel where you open the driver side door to see what the recommended levels are. Lol love the video Nicki!!

Most gas stations have air machines where the air pressure can be set. I bought an inflator off amazon. I can set the pressure, so it stops when the set psi is achieved.
I'm about to start my journey of coming off the pill after 16 years of being on it 😬 wish me luck!! 🙏🙏eeeeek

Awe I’m so sad for you and that you were on it for so long! Glad to hear your body is adjusting so nicely! In case you’re not aware it’s super easy to use a natural birth control method when you have a 28 (for you 27) day cycle. Just track your ovulation. Conception happens on the day you are ovulating. Sperm can stay alive in you anywhere from 3-5 days. So to be safe don’t have sperm inside you within 6 days up until you ovulate. ❤

Girl what is wrong with you? How can constantly keep promoting BetterHelp knowing full well how incredibly awful they are. This continued use of BetterHelp for every video has made it abundantly clear you care more about getting paid then your viewers mental health. Promote anything else, but promoting unqualified therapy from a company involved in illegal activity is so morally wrong.
The only disadvantage for me being off the contraceptive pill is my hormonal spots, I feel like my pill helped keep my spots away. Also my periods seem to last slightly longer as the pill helped stopped it sooner. Apart from that definitely a plus not taking it anymore 😊

It's so interesting how birth control affects us all. However, the copper IUD has been awesome for me. It's non-hormonal and just a positive for me! But honestly, birth control impacts us all so differently.

Yeah I got back on birth control and my depression isn't as bad, anxiety went down, my periods are less heavy with less cramping and I have less fatigue. I can't believe the difference I guess I forgot why I was on it in the first place, but it's so nice not having the fatigue. Whenever I got my period before I had a week where I just couldn't get out of bed I had no energy and my sleep schedule was getting so off balance.

If you go into any tire shop, they will inflate your tires for free!! Just ask one of the guys when you pull up. A little adult-hack for everyone to know (if you didn't already know).

The tyre pumps in the UK have a pressure setting. You can just put the number you want and it won’t go higher. I’m surprised you guys don’t have that. I would make such a mess of it without that functionality 😂.
Also I’m better on the “mini” pill (now anyway) but I’m premenopausal and I think it’s kind of cured all the symptoms I was getting. I’m more balanced.
I hated the regular birth controls though, they made me crazy and so irrational 😅 and I had terrible headaches too.

I got off birth control at 32 and never looked back!! best decision. also it sounds like the tire thing wasn't your fault, my tesla's tire sensors were always throwing false errors. check if you have the latest update or you might need to take her in!

You need to get a chargeable tire inflator and keep it in your car next time you get in one of those situations, attach it to your tire and it'll tell you it's current psi. 👍💯
