A bit of wordless story telling I really like from this game is in the Meta & Dedede boss moves! Star Allies first introduced Meta Knight's geokinesis (the control of boulders) and his cloning ability while he was corrupted, but in this game he's able to use those moves while still himself! I like to read this as, in return for teaching Dedede more combat strategy, Dedede taught Meta Knight how to be less stoic & use intense emotions as fuel for his powers. After all, if anyone knows how to get stronger after recovering from a form of corruption its Dedede
Kirby Fighters 2 is absolutely fantastic, easily a Top 5 Kirby Spin off, possibly Top 3. I will say that Single-Handed Mode straight up sucks on higher difficulties because this game is NOT built for 1v2s, let alone 1v3s leading to the later rounds just being completely unfair. However the incredible rogue like story mode and music more than make up for it. Those remixes and medleys especially. Like this game has some of the best remixes and medleys in the entire series imo.
I can definitely agree with you on that it is one of the best Kirby spinoffs Honestly I found the 1v2 and 1v3 rounds fine, id lose once or twice but nothing terrible, its just that DAMN Shadow Kirby lol
I sadly don't have the game but since i did enjoy the sub-game and fighters deluxe so if i ever do get the game i would like it, also i'm the same person who 100% triple deluxe when you told everyone don't 100% triple deluxe but yeah ain't 100% (also if you ever do a review of the remake of return to dreamland and want to 100% all i have to say is..... G O O D L U C K because OH BOY let's just say that i had a lot of troubles even doing some of them) i also like Meta Knight and King Dedede teaming up to clobber that there Kirby and his partner and he does the move that he use in star allies all be it while being the control of the dark hearts but he did learn the moves and use it without the need of a dark heart which is both amazing and a excuse to have meta knight do that move (which is weird to me) but also shows that meta knight is stronger in mind (later on) then King dedede and that pops up again in a certain 3d game. Also gotta love the history of the game existing is Nintendo just leak it in their website, remove it and release the game and hope they forget and later release a demo, it really shows that Kirby games can pop out nowhere. Also i did not like fighting shadow Kirby in very hard so he turned into a bitch into a motherfucker in fighters 2.
Actually you have to beat single handed mode with every copy ability on just the Hard difficulty, not Very Hard. You also need to beat every difficulty in that mode at least once but not with every copy ability. I don't blame you for not 100% completing the game because Shadow Kirby is absolutely awful to fight on Very Hard difficulty. I only managed to beat him with one of my best copy abilities, and that is Cutter Kirby. I also managed to get platinum too, but trust me, it was a war getting such a good time clear in that mode. Glad that Platinum is not necessary for completion. Lol While I did 100% complete this game and it was satisfying seeing the completion screen, I will never put myself through the hardships 100% completing this game ever again. I only did it because I usually 100% complete every Kirby game I enjoy a lot and Kirby Fighters 2 was a Kirby game I enjoyed just enough to motivate myself into completing it. Shadow Kirby is difficult like fighting Dark Link from Zelda 2 but not being able to cheese the fight.
