- Imhoteps Roy Kristensen met Immortals Abbath and Demonaz in Oslo, Autumn 2009, to talk about the new album and other topics. This part deals with the recording process, the new album and Demonaz injury.
They have an odd sense of humour, but it's great.

It's sad to see they couldn't continue with immortal. They obviously have deep friendship and chemistry together even just in person but who knows why happens over time and when different visions rise to the surface but would love to see at least one more Immortal album with Abbath and Demonaz together
@gatesoftanhauser I agree, glad they are so serious about music but light on conversation. I think they let their work do the talking for the most part.

Would be cool if Demonaz would be onstage playing simple chords just to make the sound thicker and because he's such an important member. The stage would be less empty aswell, I mean Abbath in all his glory, he can't fill the entire stage by himself along with that bassist that's just really passive. My opinion.

Also, most albums produced there don't sound that great IMO. At least production wise, otherwise some pretty amazon music has been produced there.
@OndskapensHersker doctor said if he wants to keep his arm he wouldn't be able to play that fast.

Apollyon passive? I mean, yes, the guy holds down the simplest of bass lines, but he's going crazy on stage almost as much as Abbath.

Wtf, he was diagnosed with tendinopathy? I could probably help him with that over a small period of time.
Had tendonitis several times myself, and I work as a physio. Tendinopathy isn't necessarily that bad, and doctors tend to overdo things sometimes... :p
Well he seems to have gotten it figured out since he did guitars for the new Immortal album. They're fast and brutal like the old days.

He actually needed an operation, though. It was a very severe case, he said the tendon or muscle had actually snapped and he needed his shoulder and arm opened up.

would be awesome to see demonaz play live with immortal he is one of my inspirations IMO I like the demonaz guitar playing era then the abbath era but don't get me wrong I love abbath era but with demonaz it was more black metal.
