it is now almost 8am and I am drooling LOL. Cannot believe how yummy that rice and chicken looks. I will make my own ground chicken breast and try and find your sauce. Honestly, I am completely hooked on the cook4me. A true life saver..... Boy another 5 hours until lunch.... I can hear my stomach going....
+lancer mitsubishi haha thanks for the terrific feedback. You can just use chicken strips or little chunks if you can't get ground or minced chicken. The guided recipe doesn't call for the sauce but I know how delicious it is so that's why I included it. Delicious try and get some because it really does make this dish something very special. Hope you make it until lunchtime lol. Thanks for watching and we hope to bring you many more cook4me recipes so you get even more use out of your appliance. Have Fabulicous weekend. ;-))
Thank you so much for the response. Unfortunately, I did not make it for lunch due to not finding the sauce you mentioned in your recipe. I did find HOISIN sauce and then googled both and mine is lacking ginger, chili pepper and garlic. Once I add those to my sauce then I should be good to go. I will post again to update you. BUT I am still so wanting to make this dish badly... LOL
+lancer mitsubishi hoisin sauce is darker and much sweeter but it should provide a nice flavour profile. We'd love to hear how you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching and the great feedback.;-))
Hello Again Thank you so much for your reply. This recipe is a definite keeper. Yes the two sauces my differ but I made sure I added to the hoisin sauce what was missing, to make it as close to the Hanianese sauce. Instead of using ground chicken breast I cooked thighs first then removed the flesh which was full of flavor to the recipe you posted. The final recipe has been outstanding. I love the flavor and it is very unique. What innerved me initially, was my cook4me kept stalling asking for more liquid but I did manage to cook the recipe (in hiccups) but the final product is amazing!!! If I have to give this one a score I would definitely put it in the NO BRAKES category..... LOL... Once you begin eating watch out as it is hard to stop. Thank you so much and please keep the recipes coming. Cheers....
Awesome, delighted you loved the recipe. I’m going to try your ‘tweaks’ too. Thigh meat is my cut of choice usually because of the flavour and it’s always more moist as well. Did tell you it a was a great recipe. I was recovering from a nasty flu when I made it and I believe it helped with my recovery, you can only eat so much chicken soup. I have used it to fill spring rolls but I wasn’t well enough to film the meal. Maybe I’ll do that with your version. We use our cook4me pretty much daily in this weather, sometimes several times a day. We walk our dogs every after noon and I put dinner on before our walk and come home to delicious hot, well cooked meal, I never have to worry about it. It’s just the best. Glad you’re putting yours to great use and of course we will continue to post new recipes. We have a very diverse channel but Cook4me recipes have been front and centre of late due to the popular demand for them. Thanks for taking the time to leave such helpful and supportive feedback and have a fabulicious week.;-))
Thank you very much Kal, you are going to love it. We also did a Hainanese Chicken and rice in the Rice Cooker, using full chicken pieces, simply perfect. That’s why we used it in this meal, it really makes all the difference. Glad you enjoyed the recipe and thanks for watching.;-))
Hey Steve, you are going to need 850 mls of chicken stock. I always list the ingredients in the description box below the video to make it easier to screenshot or save our recipes. For some unknown reason, Sometimes youtube removes them. I never know which videos are affected or for how long. With such an extensive video upload list it’s almost impossible to keep track of which videos fall victim to this senseless frustrating practice. Thank you for your question and for watching.;-)) Hope this helps.
I saw that the video states 850ml of chicken stock. I kept getting error 24 and found I had to add even more liquid....results weren't that great unfortunately.
