Thank you for this video! I was able to fix the de2 error code on my old LG washer by replacing the door lock. And the flat head screw driver worked well. Didn't even need to buy the special tool to remove the metal spring ring.

When you had the door open and removing the seal you should of just pointed out the information plate it's there that you can get the model etc there if not at the rear of the machine. 😮

Great video thanks. What if my door latch / clip (in the door, which connects into the door lock) is broken. Can one buy that separately?
Answer: yes. I found the door latch piece very affordably and replaced it. Was tricky, as I had to improvise the installation a bit. Working now

Same with me I replaced door lock, still getting clicking sound and DE code. Any idea?
