Thank you I watched 2 other videos and I was not seeing how the tab on the spring was supposed go.
Plus, on my washing machine door the pin snaps in place instead of sliding in, so I used a flat head screwdriver to hold the latch in place with the tab of the spring in place and got the door back together and it works.

How did you manage that? I have the same design as yours and it’s basically impossible, no way to snap it in or out without breaking the plastic

@@nathanhuitson1418 It took me several times to get the pin to stay in place, I had my wife help when it was time to put the front side of the door on because the pin kept popping out of the place it was supposed to be in.
Was just careful and also with her help we finally got it.

Thank you so much. My LG is probably 10 years old and has had a “sticky” handle for years.. which I now realise was the start of the break. After watching your video, I had the confidence to open the door to retrieve the wet towels, that I thought were doomed to be thrown out inside the machine, and remove the broken handle. My machine is slightly different, but by going online I was able to identify the correct part. It cost me under A$30 to have the part express shipped and tonight I was able to replace the handle and do a load of washing.
I do suggest that you wash the glass, as a build up of lint can cause a leak in the rubber seal.
I am a 60yo solo woman, if I can do this by myself, anyone can.

Great video thanks very much for your effort. Can't believe this plastic handle on a machine designed to last 10 years. No way this was going to last. I'm guessing a lot of people would get a new washer rather than pay $200 to have a handle repaired. Our machine is 10 years old so you have to weigh up a new machine. However, $30 for a new handle and replacement, it's so worth it. Thanks again.
