Brushed 5A ESC (Electronic Speed Control) compatibility test

- I use a lot of Spektrum receiver bricks but rarely have used the built-in 2A ESC due to it's limited current capacity. Some of the newest ready-to-fly micro airplanes use fairly powerful 10mm brushed motors that could use more amperage headroom.
Bang Good sells tiny 5 amp and 10 amp brushed ESC boards for under five dollars, and I was wondering if the smaller one would work with the Spektrum receivers. This is a verification test.

Pretty aute you can put two resistors on a servo motor in place of the potentiometer and get a near 5a esc. Free if you have some old servos stripped gears around
Nice! I'll have to pickup a couple of them ;-) Any idea how many amps the F-22 1020 Motor and 2510 Prop are pulling? See you in the Air!
I do not. But this set-up seems to handle it just fine. I have also run the 10mm P-51 motor for the 2A ESC on the Spektrum bricks, but that was marginal and with the aid of the gear reduction drive taking some of the load off.
For piece of mind go with the 10A. It's the same size board but with a bigger chip soldered to it. I need to order a few of those too.
@@Doggeslife , I definitely will! I've already added them to my Wishlist ;-)
Can I use this esc to make a brushed drone.
Is this esc give me the full power of a 720mm brushed motor ?
Yes and yes. I run a 1020 brushed motor with one.
My ESC dont want to work properly. it goes only forward without backward and with one speed.
These ESC's are forward-only since they are meant for aircraft use.
