- In this video, we build a decent gaming/emulation PC without using a Video card!
As we know the video card market is out of control right now but this doesn’t mean we can’t build a decent Gaming machine without a Dedicated Graphics card!
We can do this by using the AMD Ryzen 5600G, with 6 cores 12 threads, and built-in Radeon 7 Graphics this APU actually does a pretty great job as it sits and when Video Card/ GPU prices come down all we need to do is slap a GTX 1660 super in this thing to up its gaming performance!

theres no shame on playing 900p or 720p, all i care about is silky smooth gaming
Well depend on your monitor. if you have ultrawide monitor playing at that resolution is blurry *not really the right word* but u know kinda pixelated thing like at 6:22 mark that how it look like when ur on ultrawide monitor @ low resolution.
@@toytulog576 I did use the right word, but your not wrong, some might not have required monitors, my monitor can run 1080P 60hz
depends on the size of the monitor lol, if you play on a 24" screen 720p is going to make the games look like ps2 games
@@kyles8524 oh i love Ps2 games, sadly i cant play on my pc on Ps2 Emulation, and p.s i play games 600p😂🤣
I dont care gaming even at 800x600res...but then I am not able to get low res monitors to suit my PC performance
Your videos are always so helpful. I've learned so much, and now I can make a much more informed PC purchase thanks to you.
2 uploads in a day... and the quality is top notch?... outstanding! 😁
So basically 50+ fps on 1080p medium in almost all titles. We can fiddle with the resolution and settings a bit plus a couple driver updates and maybe get even more fps! Definitely more than adequate for a no GPU PC!
i only get around 30fps with low settings on the 5 5600G With radeon graphics and 32 GB of ram
@@SwedishBadger764 it doesn't worth mentioning if you're not giving detailed information. 32gb of ram is nothing, even 16gb is more than enough for modern games, any greater of size with same latency make no sense. amd cpus are very intensive on ram's cl and frequency (cas latency/frequency=actual latency)
I love the calm in your voice and the precision in the details given. Cheers from France ETA😉
With Ryzen, you usually get best ram performance at 3800MHz, Gamers Nexus has an excellent video explaining this, it’s to do with the infinity fabric running at 1:1, but above 3833MHz it jumps to 2:1 so performance drops, but starts to increase again with frequency.
Finally a computer build video we can all relate to.

Thanks for testing SFV with these builds! Really hope to build a box for fgc locals and it helps a ton in comparing builds for it.
This is what I’m buying for my first gaming PC, just find it interesting to watch videos on things I’m buying
And as always another quality video. 👌
Thank you so much! Really neat!
I'm excited to see how that 5600G goes with emulation, totally looking forward to it!
Do you know if there is emulation test somewhere? Cant find any 😭
@Girl On A Quest would you try Metroid Dread on it?
That's impressive! I'm genuinely amazed.
Your channel is quite unique
I like the fact that you care about making a benchmark on a build that is actually " feasible "
I am tired of all those who focus solely on builds having a flashy 3090 RTX
And the emulation part is really nice for those who want to experience games they had played in their childhood
Or for those who are now young and want to see how modern games were in fact heavily influenced by " oldies "
And my final point is that gaming is not a sport for the super rich who can obtain a 3090 RTX at a price near $4.000
This channel always has the content I need .
With the Ryzen 5000 APU's being unavailable for DIY at least they exist in a prebuilt. They aren't pure unobtanium yet.
@@HontasFarmer80 yeah but they will be . Right now I can buy 4350G , 4650G and 4750G separately but I wanna wait for for 5000 or maybe 6000 series APUs

This is very informative. I'm starting my build again since 2014. The prices of pc parts at the moment are very high! Thanks for this video!
the next generation with rdna graphics will be a nice step up over the vega cores, lets hope its up and up for lower spec machines like these
I'm really looking forward to the 6000 APUs.
@@ETAPRIME its not gonna be 6000 it will be 7500G and 7700G

This thing is a beast. If you're primarily into esports titles, indies, or MMOs like WoW/FF14 you'll basically come out of the GPU shortage unscathed because of this thing.
I have been expiriencing some crashed and the amd report tool shows up, ever happened to you?
@@sebastiaoredondo4388 Haven't had anything like that happen, but I was also able to get my hands on a dedicated GPU so I stopped using onboard graphics a while ago.
Try updating motherboard bios/chipset drivers/stuff like that.
Awesome compact build. Love the simplicity 👍
Really nice of you making such builds for us who cannot find a GPU
The GPU Famine :/
That’s the beauty of this chip though, no external GPU required, just the Ryzen 5600G CPU.
Since you talked about the wattage, it would've been good if you showed it on the afterburner overlay too
Really good, but would have been nice to see non-overclocked results.
THANK YOU SOO MUCH
I ordered a pc exactly like this and I was kinda worried that there is no gpu,but after watching ur video I feel better

Your videos are so great and motive anyone can effort, best of luck and keep it up.
I also have the white Darkflash case (mesh version) as well, and it's an incredible value. I'm surprised I don't see it in more builds.
These integrated graphics builds are a blessing right now! Thank you!
They would be, unfortunately people are scalping these too. $430 for the loose 5600G. That's not really worth it then.

Damn thats awesome..i like that APU..ordered it already and am sure that will boost my AsRock x300 with new bios update to the max!! Amazing Video! Thanks @ETA PRIME!!!!
Curious about how big of a change that high-speed RAM really does make. Any chance you could swap the sticks out for that DDR4-3600 you mentioned and run tests at stock and OC, then compare to this?
Its really important to keep cache:ram ratio 1:1, which is only possible up to 3800mhz if am not mistaken. Anythijg over that will mess up that ratio and you will start to lose performance.
The Renoir and Cezanne (4000 and 5000) APUs have better IMCs than the regular Zen 3s reused Zen 2 IMC so they can support FCLKs of up to 2200 (4400 RAM).
since 3200 is a "sweet spot" for best performance the %age wont be so drastic- how i know? i got 4x8gigs @ 3200mhz g.skill flare x- popping in 3600mhz wont make that much diff at all
RAM makes a bigger difference with an APU with integrated graphics.
Definitely would like to see a igpu perf difference with 3200 3600 3800 4200 etc for 720p and 1080p. Have ASRock x300 with 4650g myself, ram is 3200
Test those APU builds with FidelityFX Super Resolution when it comes out!!! would be nice!
I got this case a year or so back for my 9400 & RX 5600XT. I really love it too.. my GPU fan rarely kicks on but I do have 5 fans
I love this build! So clean with the white setup. Can you do esports benchmarks on this build since the 5600g can cater more of esports gamers. Thanks more power to you!
The more i see them, the more I want one for a second pc.I will most prob for a 3400g though as they are still pretty cheap
it would be nice if your benchmarks start including past recorded performance numbers of other APUs
the 5700G you just tested, for example?
Agree and also the 4700g as well....
@@okene That only mentioned cpu score while most people interested in APU concern more toward the graphic performance.
ty, im really looking forward to using this thing
Thank you for this well done video.
I've been using an ID Cooling AIO for a few months now and I'm really liking its performance on my ryzen2600 in a bad airflow case
im also planning to upgrade my r5 2600 stock cooler in a bad airflow case. Tried to find some budget heatsinks but do u think a budget AIO like ID Cooling would be better? im planning to push my cpu to 4.1-4.2ghz but and 4ghz in just crashes on the stock cooler

Looking forward to emulation video. This will help me to decide which apu to purchase.
I use to game on my Dell Latitude E7440 with its Intel HD 4400, good times!
its impressive how far these onboard graphics have gotten.
When this aired it was still an expensive and thus unattractive option, but now the prices have come down this one of the best options around atm. GPU prices didn't go down much , but a mainboard + 5600G you can get for about 200 dollar!
I don't know why you use dynamic scaling in Warzone when you can set the resolution and set the scaling manually to find out how far down it has to go to reach 60 fps.
Awesome as always.
DUDE THAT CABINATE IS AWSOME 🔥🔥🔥
I think keeping the CPU at stock or even undervolt/underclocking it would allow more thermal headroom to overclock the GPU which is what is needed the most.
i dont recommend underclocking since it might ruin optimizations made by developers (drivers/games/os), i do undervolt though, overclock is fine
actually bios as well, but i dont recommend flashing bios if everything works fine, dont blame me if your pc dont boot anymore
Ryzen Master will optimize by under volting each or all at once 12 cores if you raise Cpu frequency higher to 4.2 Ghz. Huge performance gain! No overheating!
É uma pena esse hardware estar um absurdo. Performance sensacional.
Awesome build!! I'm heading to Micro Center right now to get started. Seriously!!!
i like watching computer gaming chanels and keep my self bussy since i have no pc or a laptop to play games but am still praying to God. i played my first game when i was 12 since then i wished for my own.
I dunno why APU are so lovely seeing them performing near the hardware level of Xbox One.
Once we get rdna igpus budget video cards will die out.
@@JudeTheRUclipsPoopersubscribe I do not know why people like that idea. At last with budget GPUs, you can swap it, and sell it. And also you can choose which GPU to get with your CPU, while for APUs- to get the top iGPU, you have to pay for top model of CPU too.
@@NeblogaiLT the ryzen 5 5600g and ryzen 7 5800g dont really perform that differently from what ive seen, maybe a little faster but nothing huge.

Hi there! First-time viewer here. Thank you so much for putting this together. I was scouring the internet trying to find a video like this. One request, if I may: Could you please include 1% Low FPS numbers in addition to your averages next time? The 1% Lows are always what I use to determine if a game is playable or not, and despite the helpful information here, there was no mention of that. Thanks!
True
The fact that it got that in cyberpunk is incredible
Great video dude.
Could you make one on how you specifically overclocked your integrated graphics and cpu. I know there's videos out there
Love the 5600G. Should we get excited about FSR (FidelityFX) doing his job also in a iGPU like the Vega 7 on 5600G CPU?
What I don't like is the selection of games that "everyone makes"... I' love, for example: CSGO competitive graphic options, something like Assassin's Creed benchmark (Origins/Odyssey), Hitman... For everything else, I'm glad, was dynamic. Great video.
Also I can bet, the 6000gen APU going to be RDNA, IT HAS TO.
Could we see the 3400g versus the 5600g? That would be an interesting comparison.
Yes i want that too
3400g is pretty much the only reasonably priced APU. The OEM only distribution of 4-5xxx SKUs is BS.
@@MandoMTL But 3400G is damn old now. It is Zen+. Hardly support RAM clocks above 3466Mhz. No worries though, AMD already mentioned that they will launch 5000G series in retail soon.
Nah 3400 old. Against 4750. Which already beat 3400 everywhere. 5600g out back end of the year. I'll wait for that one.
@Robert James The 3400g is not bad. I can run Forza motorsport 7 at 1080p 60 fps.
Does anyone know what the equivalent of this Vega to an external GPU and would a 3600mhz ram would make a significance performance drop to this APU?
A bit faster than the 1030 GDDR5, about RX550 level.
720p with med with 60+ fps that a dream for us gamer
This is the setup I want and for me after getting this setup I would save up again for a graphics card
I hope Apu’s keep improving because it’s crazy to believe that just last year this wouldn’t even be any where close to possible with the older Apu’s
With AMD fidelity and upcoming DDR5 it is gonna be better.
APUs are the future. The main advancements lately have come in efficiency not overall performance. It won't be long until you see 2060 level performance on an apu that draws 45 watts total. Think AAA 1440p 144hz gaming on a handheld. 2030? Maybe 2027? :D

Nice video ETA, thanks !
Are you out of your mind? that would be 350$ for 6 cores, 300 was already too much for something that should have been mainstream by now.
@@mhh3 6 Zen 3 cores with RX 550 or better integrated GPU for $350 in the current market is absolutely not expensive. Don't forget the 5600x is quickly getting less and less expensive, for APUs like this, the price drop will be even more pronounced. The 4650g is available for around $250 right now which is already so impressive.
Considering none of the 5000 Series APU's have PCIe 4.0 support not to forget lower Clock Speed compared to the 5000 Series CPU's, if they are priced higher than base 5000's Series CPU's, then that would be pretty bad.
