the way showmaker plays Alistar reminds me a lot of Gragas phase rush.
It works really well on Amumu too, especially for full AP or support

U mean point and click trade /burst dmg with insane damage reduction? If they buff his ap ratios even further that would make him too cancer
@@iliesseelhaouari2731 yeah , alistair getting too much damage would be extremely unhealthy , as much as i like him , he is just too consistent to get that much damage
Gragas per example only has one "point and click" and its a rather slow melee attack , and all of his skills are skill shots on the slower side (except for point blank body slam)

I literally switched from gragas to alistar after these buffs LOL
even before the item rework, someone hit masters with top alistar tank just because of sunfire and pure tank. S12 Sunfire was probably the most broken mythic overall after all the nerfs to the mythic items and people still didn't realize that. Now it's just a shadow of its former glory

Maxing W first is better. Also props to Alicopter, the OG. He started playing AP cow minutes after patch release.

I have noticed through extensive testing that A-sol can't do anything vs alistar. I even take electrocute in that match up and end up with no less than 4 kills in laning phase
Aye, alistar has too many cc close range to just counter everything asol do, ahari too can counter in wave clear and short cooldown if asol E+Q then Ahri can respond to E+Q+W back winning trades and getting healed by the passive

I miss the days of AP Alistar with headbut and the auto after with sheen proc, was actually unplayable for the opponent, it had no counterplay xD

Tahm I am not sure but Voli? You'll get locked into the wall by Alistar once lategame CDR is a thing.
(knock to wall, airborne, stun --> literally sandbag for Alistar ally to shred you)
it's been a while since ali got used on lane but he can get easily countered. He is annoying to fight against, but you just need to treat him like cho gath, he has a terrible wave clear until he gets some items, so knowing how to manage waves can be a huge tool to lock him up in his tower where you can roam freely.

Referring to around 1:45 where the solo kill happened, can you Q then flash to be faster?
Since it is high elo its veeeery hard to get in range to be able to Q-Flash combo someone knowing they will die to it and expect it, that is why W is used there to account for the extra-distance, even though on the clip we could argue it could maybe be enough.
Also, W can be input-buffered and using flash-w-q is slower and risks zed e.g flashing out while W is cast, I think on the play buffered W-Flash-Q is used instead making the combo much faster and smoother, and less likely to mess up as its not that easy to close-range W-Q straight after flash.

If you want to counter this use cassio or poppy, their grounding mechanic deny his engages, poppy has the only type of cc (flying him tf out) that is effective against him and a good cassio player will feed on grass fed 🐄 all lane

Too bad it only works in KR not in NA
Idk why he would pick it into Camille, she is one of the worst matchups for him I would imagine as you can neither build tank or ap against her, she wins 1v1 after divine, and it's difficult to peel your carries from a Camille when she has r... Haven't tried the matchup though, so I am not totally sure

it's like better version of Rakan mid. Though playing support mid feels awful when your team is too braindead to path mid to gank when you have free kill setup.
