Ivern truly became "Summoner" class in LoL. WIth his pet being down he's not as useless as Yorick, he still has CC and shields. With Daisy alive enemy team has to spend resources killing his summoned Tank pet. (and with her being able to apply on hit effects, itemization can turn her into summonable bruiser with pocket shield/root, if you play ivern as a jungler Gustwalker passive makes it completely impossible for enemies to skip pet and go for Ivern)
Honestly I really like. It has clearly defined strengths and weaknesses, and it's a very unique take on Ivern and rangef toplaners overall. I'd fight that instead of K'Sante or Gragas any day

Clearly defined weaknesses? Excuse me? There's at most 2 or 3 champions who can realistically do anything about Daisy. Everyone else is completely helpless if the Ivern is average or above.
People are calling Ivern broken and stuff this patch but as a Ivern main I feel like it's just the same situation as people calling Yorick broken, not understanding how to deal with the minions and to stop their dps. They can call Ivern's damage OP all they want but the second 2 people focus DPS on daisy you lose a major part of your kit and all that chase and lockdown. I think when people learn how to play into it properly it won't be seen as strong, still pub stompy though. Curious on what other people think of this idea
I feel like a ton of the clips in this vid the enemies deaths was from them not respecting Ivern level 6 or daisy, walking in to auto and attack her or the minion wave when it's up. I played a lot of Ivern mid and one of the biggest counters was just baiting out daisy and then refusing to fight until they could poke/chunk daisy out and kill her and my ults on CD and champ is pretty uselss in lane w/o her or a lead.
Played ivern first time few game its fucking broken as long as you know how to spacing. When i go full ap late game daysy has above 4k health with 3s shield buff chasing them so unless ur team are full of retard you gonna win easy
I used to play that Rylay build with the intention of abusing the slow passive with Daisy. It worked well, especially against magic damage dealers. ADC can damage it really quickly because of how Daisy's damage mitigation works against AD vs AP, but nonetheless, Daisy can be a threat to ADC if left unattended. In teamfights, you need to choose wisely whether to distract the ADC for a few 5-6 AA or creating havoc with Daisy against enemies that can't escape it but also can't destroy it easily. Not to mention that Daisy can add a lot to your peeling potential. No, like you need Daisy entirely, but it is worth having in mind that Daisy can peel your backline for free with Rylays while you can help your frontline with Ivern's abilities or vice-versa
they should give him a tiny jungle clear buff, lose a bit less life for example and take away daisy on-hit procs. then you cant buy a lot of items that make him top viable like nashors for example
Actually, this is better idea of Ivern. I always imagine what if a champion can create his own mobile hideout and ambush the enemy. Playing tricks like Shaco or something. I wonder if Rito changes passive in the future

I was testing Ivern nowadays and i prefer play wuth Grasp, it gives u option to take shield bash (it applies twice per E) and u get acces to revitalize, second i take futures market and cosmic. Rush RoA into cosmic most of the times, i feel like daisy needs to be 16 until she makes real use of nashors. When i play jg i take PtA instead.
Haven't watche the vid yet but Ive played against this on a plat game as jax, and let me tell u it was not fun, every time i engaged he'd shield himself up, root me and run away and perma harass me after pushing the wave using his bushes. Definetly a pick i gota try
It's a bug related to Daisy's bump, you can't really see the animation but the bump hits a second time with a weird stun. I saw this on Katevolved stream when he was playing Katarina, used R right after getting bumped and the exact same thing happened...
How is this possible? maybe because they buffed daisy ms and somehow she also attacks like a machine gun? edit also: "apply on hit effects" since some patch
To be fair, hes just a good player. There isnt anything specifically good about Ivern that hes using in his advantage. Id say he could pick any other AP top champion and do just as good if not better
I recently played Ivern with an on-hit build and it was one of the funniest builds I ever tried. Daisy just chewing through enemies and cc'ing them while you dish out tons of damage is just peak lol entertainment. I did this in low elo though, it may not work in higher elos, still if you've got an account for fun stuff like this you must try it.
