As a former optician, I'm now retired, it's always great to see some so obsessed with her glasses. Yes you really have yourself a nice collection of glasses which i prefer calling them a "glasses wardrobe" After all you probably have a wardrobe of clothes so why not glasses too? What you need now is a nice way of not only displaying them but to make it easier for you to decide which pair you want to wear that day. It should be something that also prevents dust from getting on your glasses because you don't want to be cleaning them every time you want to wear a pair. I watched your video from a few weeks ago and you were wearing contacts but you still put your glasses on over your your contacts. It's always funny for me to see people not wanting to put their glasses on over their contacts. As if trying their glasses on for a few seconds is somehow going to damage their eyesight even more. As you seem to know that isn't going to do any harm to your eyes or their eyes. All that's going to happen is that you're not going to be able to see very well wearing both. I also couldn't help but notice that you really have beautiful blue eyes. I'm assuming your contacts aren't colored lenses and the blue I saw was your own natural eyes I was seeing. Anyway let's talk about your glasses. You said that you only get the free lenses and don't get any of the high index lenses which are thinner thickness but at some additional costs as well. You seem to have a fairly strong prescription so I'm guessing a thinner lens option was recommended which you simply over rode and chose the free lens option for your glasses. Which by the way I think looks just fine. You did get the lowest priced AR coating which is what I always suggest everyone to get on their lenses. So you did everything exactly like I would have done it if I were placing your order for your glasses. The first pair you have on is one of my very favorite styles. Like you said it's a brownline frame and it's a copy of the Ray-Ban Clubmaster frame that has been around since the 1940's. When it first came out it was a man's frame If you watch old movies from that time frame you will probably see that style of frame being wore by men. many years later women started finding that frame to their liking as well. Finally Ray-Ban started making that frame in smaller sizes to fit women better and then even making it in softer colors like your glasses. I loved fitting that frame on women because it seemed to look good on every woman. Women also found it to be extremely comfortable to wear. I have a feeling that is also why you enjoy wearing that pair of glasses so much as well. I'm sure you have glasses that are really cute glasses but not all that comfortable to wear. Am I right? That pair really looks great on you. The second pair you modeled for us are nice simple glasses that looks nice . But I'm not crazy about the dark frames on you. I love the sunglasses, perfect size for sunglasses and they look really good on you. You really are a pro aren't you. Since you were getting the AR coating on all of your glasses i would have bet you also had it added to your sunglasses. But you surprised me by not getting it which you right in not getting it because it really isn't helpful at all. It makes me wonder if you maybe was an optician at some time in your life. The next glasses i like on you because of the nice thin metal frame. Really cute glasses that looks nice on you. The next pair you said were $15.95 and it's another brown pair plastic framed pair. I like this pair a lot better than the other pair. The color isn't quite as dark as the other dark pair. And because you have so many you should have at least one dark pair to go with something else you are wearing. The last pair I like because it's a nice color and a nice fit on you. Since they are older are they in your current prescription or slightly weaker than you now need? Now that you have so many really cute glasses and planning on ordering even more I have a feeling you are intending to be wearing glasses far more often than contacts. I think you look so nice wearing glasses going to full time glasses wouldn't be a bad idea. Of course you might want to wear contacts ofr playing a sport or working out or some type of occasion when you might rather be seen without glasses. So since you seem to know quite a bit about about doing everything right when ordering your glasses on-line I wonder if there is anything I can tell you that you don't already know. You of course know that you're nearsighted but do you know the medical name for being nearsighted? Myopia or to say that your myopic. Either way is right. Also have you ever heard the term "cut-in" in regards to your glasses? Here's what that is if you don't already know. When you look into your bathroom mirror with your glasses on. look on through your lenses on the outer sides where your cheeks go up under thee lenses of your glasses. now notice how your face suddenly jumps inward through your lenses. That's called "cut-in" and the stronger your lenses are them more "cut-in" you see. So you probably have a friend that wears very weak glasses so she probably barely has any "cut-in" through her lenses. Do you mind me asking what your prescription is?

Oh my gosh!! Even tho this was extremely long to read, super helpful!!! So thank you so dang much! My prescription is -7.50 for glasses, and -7.25 for my left side of contacts, and -7.50 for the right side of contacts. ☺️
@@juliannamaree615 Thank you for your reply. Haha! Yes I'm known for my long comments to people. But it's worth my time when I see a reply from someone, like yourself, saying they found it to be helpful or informative. I wouldn't have guessed your prescription to be quite that strong by looking at the lenses in your glasses. I was thinking more like -5.00. Usually when I order glasses for people I will only order them the 1.56 free option thickness for their glasses up to -4.50 past that I will suggest they get they medium thickness of 1.61 which is an option of around $19.00. The optical store I worked at mostly employed attractive young ladies. They were our receptionist, frame specialist, optical assistants and opticians But they also served as models for our glasses lines as well. Everyone was required to wear glasses during working hours. They were each provided new glasses every 6 months and an eye exam every year. Many of them wore glasses so they were fine with that. Some of the new girls that didn't need glasses weren't all that happy about having to wear glasses even though they were told that before they were hired. . Of course their glasses were only non-prescription glasses just to show the frame style. But even with getting so many pairs of glasses they were often going on-line and ordering glasses from those sites as well. mostly for prescription sunglasses since they weren't allowed to get sunglasses as any of their free pairs. That was how I first became aware of Zenni as well as other glasses sites. Besides Zenni, which is at the top of my list, you might want to check out these two sites next time your looking to add to your "glasses wardrobe" Payne Glasses and Lensmart. Their very much like Zenni, great low prices, good quality and nice looking glasses. When my girls first started ordering from theses sites I was very skeptical of just how good could any glasses site be so low in price and have good quality glasses with accurate prescriptions. So I insisted that before any of them started wearing their glasses from these sites that they would first allow me to check the prescriptions of their glasses. As it turned out the prescriptions were all dead on.
So you didn't say if your going to be wearing glasses more and more often or still wearing contacts quite a bit? Being an optician and seeing the things i have seen caused by wearing contacts, you're eyes are going to be healthier wearing glasses. Wearing glasses will never result in an eye infection or eye ulcers or even worse having a blood vessel grow into the side of your eye. I actually saw that and it wasn't pretty. It was feared she could have become blind in that eye. lucky for her she didn't, but she cn never wear contacts again, which she claimed she had no intentions of ever doing again anyway. You already have a good number of glasses and you said you're intending to ad even more so what a nice way to change your look from day day than by changing your glasses from day to day. So a little shorter than my first comment to you.
Hi there! Yes my prescription is very strong. I did order some glasses from Lensmart, so that’s funny that you mentioned that. I am planning on wearing glasses everyday except for special occasions. I don’t want to wear contacts that often, because I have had sooo many issues with contacts in the past. I have had eye infections, and my eye doctor Even told me that I was developing some pressure in my eyes, which is a early sign of glaucoma which frightened me to say the least.
@@juliannamaree615 Sorry for the slow response. I used to get e-mails informing me of any replies in You Tube, but for some reason i no longer get them. Anyway how would you compare the glasses you got from Lensmart to the glasses from Zenni? I'm really glad to hear and see that you're intending to wear glasses fulltime and only wear contacts for a special occasion. That's do much better for your eyes and you look really good wearing glasses. And now by building up such a wonderful glasses collection, or wardrobe, you won't be forced to having to wear the same pair of glasses everyday. Being able to change from one pair of glasses to another is a great way to change your day to day look.
How old were you when you got your first glasses? I'm guessing you were rather young and then every year or so you were needing your glasses changed do to an increase in your prescription. If you have ever heard the term "on a slippery slope" used in regards to glasses it means once you start wearing glasses there's no stopping your eyesight from worsening. It happens due to growth. Usually your growth years last until your early to mid twenties and then it should stop changing and become stable.
I saw that you have recently ordered more glasses from Zenni. I think because their glasses are so inexpensive it's very easy to become addicted to wanting more and more glasses. @@soundmanpt hi Jim! Your totally fine. I would say there about the same in quality, but the price of Lensmart is a little higher than Zenni. I was about 9 or 10 when I started wearing glasses, and I am now 20 so it has been over 10 years.

Mine should say shipped tomorrow coming landmark global from China to Canada Alberta but since we just had Easter long weekend so canada post wasn't open Friday or today and there never open weekends so yeah they said sent to the shipping center on April 9th so really they should say shipped tomorrow lol and hopefully have them Friday my first Two pair wrong prescription so I'll be taking my red ones In somewhere to get my prescription lenses lol and I want to order one more lol lol buy wait for sales and stuff I got uv protection anit reflection anit scratch and tint 1.61 photochromic lenses
