It's funny he should say audiobooks are great for walks. I've listened to audiobooks read by him while on recreational walks. It makes walking so much better to listen to an audiobook while you do it.
o, don't do that. Don't write MALE like that to show what a hetero guy you are. You know, it is ok to like another man. For whatever reason. And every likes Stephen Fry, I think. Even straight guys.......
@sinbysin666 what are u talkin bout mate? lots of ppl talk like jonathan ross cos he has a london accent and there are 10 million ppl in london so that answers itself, and btw britain is 3 countries all of which have different accents in themselves, there aint no such thing as a british accent, as for stephen fry hes very posh and sophisticated so not many ppl talk like him...
@chickenruler I've never heard "watch your own side of the fence" I've heard "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" but that would not fit your argument. And thank your for atleast being mature and admitting that Americans are generally right intentioned and kind. But there are always reasons why America is what she is and the "myth", or story, of America make her the most intriguing and this is the reason the world is so fascinated in finding the flaws in America.
Ironic that Stephen Fry talks about how good it is listening to audiobooks when you're out walking considering that so many of the best ones (and my ones) are his! Sherlock Holmes, Harry Potter, his own books, Hitchhiker's Guide, Jeeves and Wooster....If I'm looking for an audiobook of something in particular I always check if he's done one! 😀
6:58 so true the only problem with it though is you feel slightly guilty when you talk about Sherlock Holmes or animal farm or what ever to people and about how much you love them when technically you haven't read them
@chickenruler In finding the flaws they feel they can finally rationalize what America actually is. But its the inability for anyone to put their finger on why America is the biggest success story in the history of nations, especially when looking at the stereotypes of them, that makes them want to dislike us. And if you want to dislike us for any reason, you can absolutely find an example of it here.
Although still very much endangered, it's nice to know the kakapo is slowly on the rise. There are now 154 individuals: m.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11754390
@ostime14 Yeah, but I'm talking about the elegance in the words. Most British, city, people tend to use the word "cunt" at least a hundred times a day. Lulz.
"British superiority... in fact inferiority complex that we need to attack Americans" What a silly thing to say. He must realise that this stereotyped view of the general American population, however wide of the mark it may be, is held by the majority of nationalities worldwide. It certainly isn't unique to Britain.
I agree, I'm from america and the only time I've heard the phrase is when something like a hick gets stuck in a drain pipe trying to reach a twinkie he dropped
I have a growing admiration for the man over many years. It was so nice to hear someone say something nice about America, especially from Britain.
Oh I love Stephen Fry.
I could listen to this guy talk about street cleaning and he'd make it sound interesting.
you need to get out more

No....There’s people.
@@EmmaRiddle543
Why, what's wrong with people?
Anyway, you can go where there's no people.
Stephen's best interview yet.
haha seems bizzare listening to Stephen Fry explaining Twitter, how much the world has changed!
I could listen to him talking all day.
Thanks for uploading!
What a splendid chap he is...only in England :)

The first Audible.com ad by Stephen Fry!!!!!
ok, i'm a 22 year-old straight MALE, and i think stephen's the maaaan!! ha, he's so charming it's unreal :)
How is it now being 31 now and what would you say to your 22 year old self if you could?
o, don't do that. Don't write MALE like that to show what a hetero guy you are. You know, it is ok to like another man. For whatever reason. And every likes Stephen Fry, I think. Even straight guys.......
There's still future for Kakapos, thanks to human assistance. From 90 in 2009, we're now at 150 in 2019. :)
Did they teach them not standing in a pit making a low noise, but instead stand on a hill and whistle?
It was a big letdown, when I found out that most Brits do not talk like Fry or Ross, but more in the way of... ehm.. Johnny Rotten.
02:37 "Ouuuh this is a new experience!" I love you Stephen Fry..
Hahaha the last part about the horses was hilarious!!
thanks again
0:22 - Jonathan was firmly placed on the naughty step by the BBC in October 2008, if anyone wishes to Google "Sachsgate" and they will understand why.
"Would you be kind enough to exhibit the money!"
"You had me at, 'Good morning, madam.'"
He deserves ALL OF THE THINGS!
Oh how times have changed in America, Mr. Fry.
you HAVE to upload the Tom Cruise interview!
Stephen is so good at conversation

theres something very beautiful about the shot at 3:31 to 3:35

Stephen Fry... only in Britain! :)
@chickenruler However, that fact in itself, is what makes America's "myth" stronger and therefore the myth absorbs everything. Quite genious.
6:58 so true the only problem with it though is you feel slightly guilty when you talk about Sherlock Holmes or animal farm or what ever to people and about how much you love them when technically you haven't read them
@Th3Z0ne Completely agree!
STEPHEN FRY WATCHES TOM&JERRY
I think the term 'only in America' is more often used for ridiculousness or insanity, nowadays.
How I wish the kakapos actually spoke the way Stephen describes.

I would bear Stephen Fry's children.
