Do you think I'll be able to get the sawmill finished and detailed by the end of 2024 and where should I focus my attention afterwards? Weiner, Hickory Ridge, Brinkley, starting to build the lower level? Let me know your thoughts below.
Wow, Jason, you really got your freak on and got busy all through 2023. A lot of progress and everything looks great. I wish you and your family a healthy and happy New Year.
Wow, amazing progress!!! I'd say go with whatever is the most satisfying--that way you stay motivated. Can't wait to see what 2024 holds for your railroad.
Thanks for the year in review, i either didnt see some things or forgot you did them. It all looks amazing, and finishing off the year with Texarkana. AWESOME. Happy New Year
Wow, Jason you have really accomplished a lot in 2023! I am simply very impressed with not only all that you accomplished, but with the quality of your work! Meeting you this past summer was one of the highlights of my year also. Finishing up on the sawmill will in itself be a big accomplishment. In terms of where next to focus your attention, I'd look for where my efforts would contribute the most in terms of the railroad's operation. Bill B. P.S. Jason, while watching the video, I could not help but notice that there were a lot of box cars on the layout. Have you heard of the Bill B.'s Holiday Box Car Challenge? If not here is a link to my first video introducing the Challenge ruclips.net/video/Y7hodXXkH-M/видео.htmlsi=RUjd9vmcaxt2nrVI I would love to see more HO guys share their box car trains and specifically see what train of box cars you can put together on your railroad. The Challenge runs through New Years Day so there is still time! Can you meet the challenge, lol! Either way, Jason, thank you for sharing your year in review! It was both fun and inspirational!
Thanks Bill! I'll take a look into that challenge and see what I can come up with. Also take a look at the Merry Christmas Challenge Amanda and I did. Your name was mentioned. :-)
your layout looks great you did a lot this year hey i really like to build a small display shelf thing what did you use to build yours if you dont mine me asking
Thanks Dwight, I used 3/4" Project Plywood (pre sanded on both sides) and used one piece to make my back plate and ripped the other pieces to make the shelves. Put the track on the shelves before installing shelves onto the back plate.
