I enjoyed that. The KR I had in the early 1960's did those speeds but it was tuned. Can't get anything like that with my currant KR. Thanks for that Andrew it took me back to my youth.
This was great to watch Andrew. Most other videos I've seen of people test driving a KR, an Isetta or other bubble car, invariably they bang on about how unsafe it is and refuse to attain any speed, and or they demo the car in such a poor state of tune, it barely runs! You clearly love your little 'Schmitt and it's great to see you stretching it's legs. I only wish I could afford one, but I'm very glad to have my 2cv. I bought her for the grand sum of £30 in 2000 before the prices skyrocketed! (edit, I now see the car belongs to a chap called Peter. Apologies!)
Sounds like an aircraft about to take off ,smoked a few & showed them your soot .They should make new versions of these for motorcycle licence holders .I remember these & the bubble cars with a door on the front that opened with steering wheel ,I think they were called Isetas & also the 3 wheeled Invacars for the disabled .There were some wonderful & wacky vehicles about in the day .People were just glad they had their own cars or motorcycles & not that bothered how they looked as long as they did the job .from A to B .Good vid 👍
Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! One of the best vids out there of the little KR showing the world what it can actually do. Long may it keep doing it!
Really enjoyed that Andrew. Actually overtaking the Chelsea Tractors! Well done!

Have you checked out Hubnut's videos on his Invacar? He rescued one from a field, and re-registered it to make it road legal again!
Wonderful, bloody wonderful. Wish I had one....
