Well done another great video. Don’t stop what you are doing they are great I like the way you explain everything you do. Being a retired heavy haul driver from nth Queensland I can’t believe how much the industry and trucks have changed in the last 16 years
Enjoy your videos specially the Inverell I come from that town are you loading out of the binderies beef great little town Christ it gets cold in winter.
Realy good video. I done my last 2 years of school at Inverell. Now retired and live North Side of Brisy. Keep the videos comming, and stay safe out there.
As you said, a clean windscreen would have been a good idea !! That part where you played the video in fast forward, sounded like you were in the Supercars race at Newcastle 😂
Ahhh the climb up the gap. It's been 10years since I was on the hwy. I used to run 3 per fortnight Melbourne-Brisbane & loved every minute of it until it was over policed & it become to much. I can't believe after 10years they still have those containers there just near the top.
Infectious son watches him is enough reason alone brother. I liked you later video so I thought I'd start watching some of your old ones good made of mine used to work for Don West you probably knew him we met through motorcycles who started driving trucks I was driving buses at the time his name's David. Are you still looking these trucks as I passed them on the Gold Coast seeing if I could see him who was the top like his life was cut way too short.
Onya Ken. Cannot wait till I get the ding that you have sent us a new video. I used to find the trip across the Hay Plain boring, then thru Rankin Springs and West Wylong, then I watch how easy it seems sitting behind the wheel with you. Safe Drive.
I went to school with young Don his dad stated out with livestock trucks they owned the shell servo beside the high school the whole family where lovely people.
Great videos! I loved the time-lapse at Inverell where the Cummins sounds like a Formula 1 racer! 😂. Subscribed and was one of the ones who got you over the 1k line. Do you ever watch Bobby on the Ride-along-gang channel with his live streaming? I guess going live in Australia would be pretty scratchy everywhere else but maybe the Hume.
Found your channel today and started watching. I'm not a truck driver, just a retired office worker but always enjoyed long driving trips. Have a few mates that do drive interstate trucks though. Seeing the roads from a truck can is so different from a car, and most cat drivers have no idea of how difficult can be especially with traffic and morons cutting in front of you. Next time I'm going through Aratula I'm getting one of those Eggs Benedict in a toasted Turkish Roll - looks awesome. Anyway, keep the videos coming. Don't know if you've done one on the truck itself but would be interesting with a run-down of it and engine/gearing for different roads and what the dash gauges are.
Most car drivers are good mate but there’s always a couple bad eggs 👍I did do a full truck tour this week but I had to delete it to make space for the two vlogs unfortunately
Hey mate love the content I’m a HR license holder And looking to one day drive road trains and b doubles Do you have any tips for new drivers ? Or any advice for anyone that’s considering a HC license or MC licence Anyways thanks for the awesome content Definitely got a new sub
Hey mate, awesome work on the videos. If you get the time could you do a video on the process of getting to an MC license in Australia? Maybe with your personal journey and experience from first getting your MR/HR. Cheers mate, subscribed. 👍
@@crossfamilytrucking Thanks man, I've got an MR from years ago and no recent experience, so it would be cool to hear about the process. I've been watching American truckers and you popped up in recommend and the two vlogs have me hooked, keep up the good work mate.
I was in the exact same boat man I had my HR for a solid 2 years before I used it then upgraded straight to mc. Good to hear the algorithm is doing it’s job hey thanks for watching brother
@@crossfamilytrucking That's good to hear, I wasn't sure how many more steps there would be to MC. Looking forward to the next vlog man. I'm in north Brisbane so if there's any trainers you'd recommend for the upgrade it would be much appreciated
Definitely give Brisbane truck school a call bro they’re awesome to go through I’ve done all my truck licenses through them. They will tell you what license you’re eligible for I’m pretty sure for MR you can go to HC then MC
hey mate awesome videos, love the kenworth ur driving,i have just subscribed and you have great footage,i live near uralla nsw,are you able to do more of fuelling videos.keep up the great work
So brother I got mc while I was there on holiday moving back home from Canada next year how hard is it to get mc job with only single experience ? Around Brisbane
notice you use gladhands for air hook-up, while others use quick-release connect, which do you prefer? transmission is really shifting smoothly, is it an Eaton? having worked in uk&& Canada as a mechanic interested in comparing the truck models cheers
Hi mate glad hands seem to get the job done pretty well not sure if I prefer either tbh yup transmission is a Eaton 18 speed ultrashift it’s an automated manual they’re not very smart transmissions if you let the computer do all the shifting they don’t like gradients and they can’t decide what gear to grab when really heavy that’s why I only drive in manual and click it up and down it works really well
Good video mate. Question if you don't mind. I've been driving rigids for a few years, live in Brisbane, got my MC in October last year. I've been trying and trying to find a job just driving singles as a start which is sending me BONKERS! Any chance you know where I could get a start?
I’m sure they would if I asked nice enough lol there’s enough of them in truck stops and usually most kitchens are willing to heat up food to not need one. Thanks mate appreciate it
How do they pay you guys there in Australia? In the US it’s typically per mile you drive, percentage of the truck’s weekly revenue, or salary. Also curious what the average wage for a driver there is?
We have a few different ways of getting payed here too mate. Our company pays trip rate which is one fee per trip but there’s also kilometre rate and hourly too and most people are payed hourly rate to load and unload
Just stumbled on your channel. Good stuff. Hey do you know the homeless trucky, another youtuber who drives for lindsay? Maybe you’ll bump into him and do a colab? Happy truckin brother🤙🏾

Just subscribed great video, how do you like the auto trans I 'm guessing it would be very nice in traffic. 👍👍
Yeah mate for sure it’s not as fun as a manual but it’s so easy in stop start 👍
