62 ton “light tank”, yet gaijin didn’t give it any armor, like wtf… For reference the T-80BVM weighs 46 tons ingame, the T-90M weighs 50 tons, the Leopard 2A6 weighs 60 tons, the 2A7V weighs 64 tons, and the M1A2 also weighs 62 tons. You’re telling me, that the Merkava Mk.4M in game only weighs ~3 tons more, yet the Namer that is missing a ~20 ton turret is somehow less armored… (Sidenote, the Merkava Mk.4 actually weighs 80 tons, it’s incorrect in-game) how the frick do you model the namer so poorly. Give it its real armor and bump it up to 11.0-11.3 where it belongs.

Someone I trust once estimated that if the UFP was improved to a realistic standard, it could at the very least provide ~550 KE protection, excluding the engine and anything else behind it. Regardless, the entire tank should be near immune to any chemical threat ingame, minus a weak spot or two in the sides and rear. It should also be completely protected from any explosive threat from above the tank, especially arty and top down missiles.
if I remember gaijins excuse was that there couldn't be more protection for the weight it currently has, thus if the weight was increased to 80-+ tons then in theory it could get an armour increase. Ironically there seems to be missing armour in the sides as there's just a massive gap next to the cabin.

For me the most annoying thing in the game is barrel shooting.. you try to use your gundepression etc and they shoot your barrel before you can even see them..that’s the biggest bs.
Spikes work now because HEAT shells and warheads actually overpressure now if you hit a cupola etc. Finally Gaijin remembering the HE in HEAT means high explosive.
That is because light - medium and heavy tanks are literally doctrinal terms, not related to their weight. Light Tank is a role, not a weight class. Current MBTs function doctrinialy more like Medium Tanks, whilst weighing more than a lot of Heavy tanks during WW2. Also in the US army manuals the Arbams is just referred to as Tank, not MBT, not medium not heavy no just as TANK.
You yourself said it, its an electronic, external, joystick controlled Gun. Obiosuly if ANY of the 3 components responsible for maintaining, controlling and debugging the system is damaged, it wont work.
Yeah but this game isn't realistic at all, they need to stop adding stuff like this to the game for a multitude of reasons but one of the main ones is that it's unecessary. Hell I’ve gotten nukes in the thing plenty of times thanks to ricochets and that amazing dart (one was a full up tier game) However, I’ve heard there is a worse dart they could receive that could warrant a lower BR, guess we’ll see eventually.
@bensherohuntershelp-wi4dr The thing is, the dart is literally the only thing going for it. Since I already went way too deep into this with someone else, I'll try to sum it up. MK 3 has a good round (not the best at 10.3), mediocre turret at best, and a glorified 9.3 hull. It doesn't have the best gun handling, reload, reverse, top speed, or acceleration even at 10.3. The thermals also suck, not improving whatsoever from the older variants. It literally has less armor than the Merkava MK2D which is 9.7. At 11.0 it has no lineup, so moving it to 10.3 simply is better for the tech tree as a whole. Overall the shell is above average but not the best, and everything else is below average for a 10.3 vehicle. (IIRC the reload is equal to other western tanks around that BR) As for getting nukes, that's based on the players skill and not the vehicle. Obviously nukes come easier with better vehicles, but it's still up to the players skill to make it happen. At least it should be 10.7, but I personally think it should be 10.3.

Spaded the Tech tree Mk.3B and grinded out the rest of the tree with the Mk.3D Raam Segol, (majority with the Mk.2D and its horrible reload, which is bug reported and acknowledged as being incorrect). I would say try it out at 10.3 as a start, maybe then bump it up to 10.7 if it performs too well. A 10.0 version of the mk.3B as an early variant, and given the early round that’s apparently an DM33 equivalent would be a nice choice. I’ve also heard that later variants of the Mk.4D can have better quality thermal imagers. I would also love to see a similar thing done for other tech trees, such as a lower ariete with a worse round replacing their better round, allowing for a BR drop, and something like the Leo 2A5 having its DM53 replaced with a lower round allowing for a BR or something like 11.0-11.3 since all of the Leo’s are at 11.7. Welp mini suggestion hour over, ima head out now before my this gets too long haha
@@Tippo822they’re decent tanks, but once you get to, say, the 3 variants, the armor starts to work less and less. If you need a premium to make life easier, the 2D isn’t a bad choice at all. Good rounds, decent armor, thermals, the works really.

I hope that we get the VK 30.02 (D) one day, it basically looks like if you took a Panther and made it look like a T-34. Since we got the 30.02 (M) a few years ago, I don't see why the 30.02 (D) can't be added too.
While I do support this being a tech tree vehicle at either 5.3 or 5.7, maybe 6.0 if you want to stretch things. But knowing Gaijin, they'll make this a battle pass vehicle.

The only thing that frustrates me about the Namer 30 is the front protection cap of the missiles clipping through the commander's cupola when you turn the turret to the right
@@BlueLightningHawk nah kf41 sucks ass. no unmanned turret, the spikes miss every time, aps doesnt work at all and no armor at a higher br than Namer or Puma. the Namer's & Freccia's front facing spike launchers are pretty good now, but the upwards facing ones suck still.
This thing basically eats light armor for breakfast. Very few CE warheads will penetrate the Namer head on. And of the ones that can, they often have so little energy afterwards that they don't outright kill it. It's basically frontally immune to IFV fire. Among IFV's, only 2S38 has a chance of killing it frontally, and that's in an extremely specific spot that may not even be visible. UFP has ~1,000mm CE and ~350mm KE protection, making it basically a pseudo MBT armor wise. Spikes work pretty well now too, so it can actually kill shit, paired with the remote turret. Absolute beast of a vehicle.
I noticed with the Freccia the Spike improvements, before a single leaf got in the way and i couldn’t lock but now i can lock onto them even if its only their commanders hatch sticking out

I was hiding behind cover with the M1128, pretty much only exposing the barrel, then I suddenly get sniped by a Spike. I literally asked : "these things actually get a lock now?"

the problem that makes spikes unreliable is because of the launcher position, the launchers on vilkas and kf41 are both pointing up which makes them good to fire in distance but makes it really bad in war thunder because most sniping and flanking positions in range are blocked to force cqb. The only good spikes launchers in game are the one on namer and the one on Freccia which Freccia is the best imo.
Man, if the spikes on the Namer consistently work this good it would mean Gaijin only fixed it on the Namer? Because on the KF41 i dont get these results. Its still very unreliable on it..and its also mislabeled still as LR2MR. lol
I figured out what it is. They fire straight out at 90 degrees. The ones that are angled up can't do the point blank thing. So, these are just much more consistent with direct LOS mode.
Y'know what, with talk about the Spikes actually being good on this vehicle and with you only referencing the Vilkas as another Spike lobber to compare it to, I'm surprised you didn't speak about the KF41, the Italian PUMA with spikes. I could be blind but I cant remember if you've reviewed or played it at all since it's been out so I would fully support and love seeing you rip people apart with that thing! Love the vids!
There is a perfect IFV at 10.3. Sooo... what do you think when is the PUMA getting the SPIKE and/or grenade launcher that it actually has in variations like the BMP-2 got with the BMP-2M version. Just hoping to get the good IFV back for germany :(

And you even get punished and can't use your other vehicles for a time period. Game wanna force you to stupiditly spawn in while getting spawncamped and farm repcosts.
There's a version of this in Arma 3, armed with a 12.7 and 40mm AGL, and god, it's so annoying to fight because it takes such a beating to destroy or even disable
Wow seeing a gun system we have on US Navy Ships on a tank chassis..... That vehicle should be deadlier. I've seen this gun system snipe a tank sized target 4 miles out at sea. And without the Fire Control system someone would have to get out and man the gun, so it kind of makes sense that you can't shoot when the electronics are damaged.
The fact that you can now disable litgher skin vehicles by damaging their components like in this and the 2s38 is excellent for game balance because it evens the play field against mbts since these vehicles used to be able to survive that one hit and kill the mbt that shot them if they were side on or vulnerable. Hopefully this will decrease the no armour best armor meta a bit more end of the day rip light tank rushers

Most remote weapon stations can be free gunned so as long as there is an operator and a functioning weapon it should be able to shoot.

I feel like you are overly defending your skill in dialogue due to comments. I enjoy the show/company/experience, ignore all the haters man. If we wanted pro players we’d watch them. Love the content. Much love. And you are in fact better than 99% of the player base.
the problem that makes spikes unreliable is because of the launcher position, the launchers on vilkas and kf41 are both pointing up which makes them good to fire in distance but makes it really bad in war thunder because most sniping and flanking positions in range are blocked to force cqb. The only good spikes launchers in game are the one on namer and the one on Freccia which Freccia is the best imo.

Man, if the spikes on the Namer consistently work this good it would mean Gaijin only fixed it on the Namer? Because on the KF41 i dont get these results. Its still very unreliable on it..and its also mislabeled still as LR2MR. lol
I figured out what it is. They fire straight out at 90 degrees. The ones that are angled up can't do the point blank thing. So, these are just much more consistent with direct LOS mode.
Wish the vehicle's armor wasn't butchered.

Y'know what, with talk about the Spikes actually being good on this vehicle and with you only referencing the Vilkas as another Spike lobber to compare it to, I'm surprised you didn't speak about the KF41, the Italian PUMA with spikes.

There is a perfect IFV at 10.3. Sooo... what do you think when is the PUMA getting the SPIKE and/or grenade launcher that it actually has in variations like the BMP-2 got with the BMP-2M version. Just hoping to get the good IFV back for germany :(

"oh my god the whole team is here" while spawncamping. Nice. What surprise. Such a big illness of that game and RUclipsr doing it all the time too. And people wondering why guys quit after 1 death. And you even get punished and can't use your other vehicles for a time period. Game wanna force you to stupiditly spawn in while getting spawncamped and farm repcosts.
There's a version of this in Arma 3, armed with a 12.7 and 40mm AGL, and god, it's so annoying to fight because it takes such a beating to destroy or even disable

Wow seeing a gun system we have on US Navy Ships on a tank chassis..... That vehicle should be deadlier. I've seen this gun system snipe a tank sized target 4 miles out at sea. And without the Fire Control system someone would have to get out and man the gun, so it kind of makes sense that you can't shoot when the electronics are damaged.

I drive my kv 1s into battle backwards and it becomes a brick wall
The fact that you can now disable litgher skin vehicles by damaging their components like in this and the 2s38 is excellent for game balance because it evens the play field against mbts since these vehicles used to be able to survive that one hit and kill the mbt that shot them if they were side on or vulnerable.
Hopefully this will decrease the no armour best armor meta a bit more end of the day rip light tank rushers
Spikes definitely don’t work as they should. I fired 8 off my helicopter and got 7 hits and 1 kill.

thay need to sort out more cover while in spawn area think its bad shooting to spawns on any maps but also timer been in you own spawn then cant camp in it
