well to be fair, they are beaten by both russian and especially Chinese manpad helli fired missiles. SOOO hes on to a point, However they arent bad, i use the same onces at 10.3 on my previous techtree italian helli. Their biggest flaw is fligth time(guidance time) AND low G turns, but most manpads has low G-turns, Sooo, and at least they are somewhat flare resistant(IRCCM).

Ya, those buildings in Japan, you used to be able to blow them up with HE or HEAT and shoot through them with solid shot, but Gaijin changed it along with making the same changes to other buildings on other maps. It's pretty annoying when an AP round can't go through a few planks of wood.

You can actually rearm at heli spawns without touching the ground, you just have to hover right above it. Also, if you rearm with the harriers at the heli spawns, it just spawns you in the air so you don't have to take-off again haha.

L-UMTAS exists in Italy heli tree with max speed of 180 m/s compared to 345m/s of AKD-10. I salute those who grind Italy heli tree with starter huey having only 14 snebs rocket.
Mouse-aim limits your mobility by 4 times. Use full-real manual control mode to turn as fast as possible. It really is quite difficult, but try it in test flight. Turn on dampening only in ATGM shooter view.
Great video, and the reason i just unlocked that chopper for my italians yestoday, However dosnt have great cas is maybe a slight understatement, at least if you play 12.7 you get the gripen C, i would imagine thats a pretty solid cas.

anything above 8.0 is basically unplayable because of them. around 80% (80-85%, i have counted it but i can't remember the of the exact number, but it was above 80%) time when i was playing the T-10M and AMD i was destroyed by CAS players with negative tank K/D
@@SirTankBall exactly. for years now i am saving the stats of the enemy CAS players that destroy me with CAS, and i make a program that averages their tank stats. their average K/D with tanks is 0.58 so far (while the recent 100-200 players are not yet in the average, but almost all of them are bellow even that number, so i would not be suprized if the average moves bellow 0.5). CAS is just a cheap tool for the bad players, and that's why it will never change. it is easier to give them a zero skill uncounterable broken tool than teaching them how to play. oh also the best player in that database has an awesome K/D of 1.3!
@@SirTankBall well the best thing is to get in an aircraft yourself and focus them out of the game with their own tool. i remember a guy that used CAS against me, and i then got in a plane, and spawncamped 3 of his tanks out in less than a minute. it is even better if they cry afterwards (when in reality they asked for it).
Weirdly enough, spikes are wonderful dealing with choppers since LOS is difficult for them to break...so naturally, a chopper using them has a lovely time.
Please revisit the Israeli 6.0 (M-51 specifically) lineup! The m-51 wasn't great when it was first released but the fact that it's a reserve vehicle at 6.0 and changes to HEAT have turned it into a really fun tank to play since you last used it. Plus Weizman's Spitfire is just a blast to play with for CAS.
Spike missiles work not unlike LRM in mechwarrior online: While missile is fire and forget, you use positioning to tunnel the missile and set the approach angle.

There’s supposed to be Spike-ERs on the Israeli Apache, but it only got passed as a suggestion and not acknowledged as a bug report. For now the Israeli Blackhawk is the only comparable helicopter to this thing.
@@OddBawZI thought you showed the AH-60 Battle Hawk with the Spikes, not the AH-64D-I Apache (Saraph in game) (which doesn’t have them in game quite yet (TMsoon)), unless I’m mistaken and missed you showing that one as well. (Sidenote, if you’re going to play the Israeli AH-60 Battle Hawk at some point (or the AH-60D-I Saraph when it gets said missiles), I highly suggest getting gaijin to give you a test drive for it, as it takes forever to grind the full Spike-ER x16 loadout. The final Spike-ER modification costs 49k RP to unlock… it’s brutal…

Dumb question for you that I've never been able to get an answer googling: How do you report air vehicles? In the clip during your fight in Japan you did T but couldn't figure out if you pressed 6 then 1 to report? It was too fast and I haven't seen that option appear previously for me.
Are the IR FAF missiles working better lately? I have the ECC 665 UHT, quit the game, back then those missile were awful to use, hard to make them lock and land correctly and whatnot.

The more ridiculous the matches, MM and vehicles OddBawz has decided showcase/punish, the more entertaining and funnier the vids seem to be. This channel is like a funnier, more polite WT version of Claus Kellerman, Jingles, DezGamez and Quickybaby slopped into a big blender and pureed into a sticky and hilarious beverage, topped off with a Scottish accent. Perfection!
Spikes may be slow but when theyre IR based like this, it makes me wonder why the Apaches are anywhere above 11.0 right now. The only helis that should be above 11.0 are anything with Vikhrs and F&F spikes. Even after the buffs its hard to justify Apaches and Vipers/Cobras being 11.3 with Hellfire performance. It is a massive detriment having to be in LOS of your target for the entire 20+ second flight time within 4 km to guide it in, not to mention anyone who pops smoke makes the whole launch useless, and Hellfire Inertia guidance is still broken. On the other hand Vihkrs are extremely fast, theyre direct flight, and they're beam riding so smoke doesnt matter besides making you need to guess where the target is in the smoke; and Spikes are just launch and dive until the SPAA runs out of ammo. Not to mention both Spikes and Vihkrs are good anti-helicopter weapons while Hellfires are almost useless against them.

The Spike missiles actually got a post-pen buff recently along with most of the guided HEAT warhead munitions like the Hellfires and Mavericks

Gaijin has a lot of work to do on the flight characteristics and damage realism for the helicopters.
The Sea Harrier and the F-20 have the F/A-18 radar prototype in them. That's why it is in the game.

They cancel the lock for the spike missile. I found it easier just to rotate the helicopter for break the line of sight for the seeker, then it resets

The more ridiculous the matches, MM and vehicles OddBawz has decided showcase/punish, the more entertaining and funnier the vids seem to be. This channel is like a funnier, more polite WT version of Claus Kellerman, Jingles, DezGamez and Quickybaby slopped into a big blender and pureed into a sticky and hilarious beverage, topped off with a Scottish accent. Spikes may be slow but when theyre IR based like this, it makes me wonder why the Apaches are anywhere above 11.0 right now. The only helis that should be above 11.0 are anything with Vikhrs and F&F spikes. Even after the buffs its hard to justify Apaches and Vipers/Cobras being 11.3 with Hellfire performance.
It is a massive detriment having to be in LOS of your target for the entire 20+ second flight time within 4 km to guide it in, not to mention anyone who pops smoke makes the whole launch useless, and Hellfire Inertia guidance is still broken. On the other hand Vihkrs are extremely fast, theyre direct flight, and they're beam riding so smoke doesnt matter besides making you need to guess where the target is in the smoke; and Spikes are just launch and dive until the SPAA runs out of ammo. Not to mention both Spikes and Vihkrs are good anti-helicopter weapons while Hellfires are almost useless against them.
