Despite I already knew all the information, this guy is probably the best informational person you've had on your channel. Having more people like him would maybe help out the cycling culture in Singapore
An all rounded interview from a owner who has seen the evolution of road cycling. Always great to hear from someone with this level of experience. He's a great example of how cycling can help people stay young at heart and age gracefully ! One of your very best video to date.👍👍 P/S : Oompa, we really need more of such veterans on your show to share their knowledge and experience. Veterans who are watching this I believe brings them back to their memory lanes and reminisce their fond cycling memories. 👍
these are the kind of interviews that are packed with information which interest me the most. love George's discussion on his experience even at this age.. he is also very up to date with the latest bike tech around. and again for 40+ minutes of this video flew by so fast
“Since the mountain bike times we already ride chris king” Another defining characteristic of a rider who started in the pre 2010 era haha…. Back then for hubs it’s was either dtswiss 240 of you were on a budget, or a chris king if you had the dough to spend for its reliability. Those hubs are built like a tank and we trusted them haha
Factor + Princeton = winning! So cool to hear about the old times and setups. I can tell he knows a lot and has been stared in the right direction. Slight constructive criticism, I found he repeated himself quite a bit, especially regarding the bike fit.
What a fantastic review! Great insights from this interview. Triple butted, 0.3, carbon at correct angles, value proposition of each bike. Man I wish he were my uncle..
Encik George is super knowledgeable and he definitely stole limelight! Excellent! 👍👏 This is by far the best episode and the only one I finished watching thus far. The intro trailer about mistaking this gorgeous Factor Ostro for a Seka is an unnecessary click bait. George alone should suffice as the star attraction of this episode. 😂 Well done! Enjoyed this tremendously!
As mentioned in a previous post, you pump the pressure too high for tubeless, the spokes lose their tension. So get ahead with the times. Lower your tire pressure. For tubed I use 75psi for a combined weight of 75kg. For tubeless, it is 56psi.
Let me just get credit for this and say I am the first person in the planet to point that out… 😜 I think Cam was disappointed with my comment, since it started an online war after..: 🤦♂️
Nice, this bike is on my wish list. Factor > Seka if you can afford it (which I can't 😣) Factor have their own bike factory so they make their own frames with their own moulds.
Can you ask the main riding/owning difference between the bmc teammachine and this ostro? I sold my old 2020 bmc teammachine and deciding a new bike and like the ostro looks and since the geometry is very close to my bmc teammachine so I'm thinking about it.
1. I'm actually don't believe those normal bike fit, but I do believe comprehensive bike fit. Once you are a season ride you'll want to maximise your power and ride faster. And like what he said even u fit yourself...you just want to make sure you're in a good position. 2. 11speed or 12 speed, when you're are strong you don't need 12speed...what you need maybe the in between extra cog like what he's said to optimise your cadence. But 12speed will be heavier groupset. 3. Di2 or Mechanical make no different to me. Not a must need...does not make you save watts. 4. Tubeless setup and still carrying a spare tube defeated the purposed of tubeless.I'll go for tubular at least is lighter and until today PRO rider still using it.I still believe in clincher, lighter and less hassle and maintenance. 5. Hookless rim are quite dangerous, If your tires are fully flats, your tires will come out and does not stay intact with your rims.
Buying bikes in different sizes plus different stems and handlebars and then complaining about the price of fitting is hilarious, you’ve already spent thousands more just guessing what works
Experience always cuts through the BS in cycling! What I took away from this ( great) interview was to buy what you can afford and be happy with it!
Despite I already knew all the information, this guy is probably the best informational person you've had on your channel. Having more people like him would maybe help out the cycling culture in Singapore
Really enjoyed this one. He knows his stuff. Not someone blindly following the trend or hype train.
"You have the money or not?" 🤣🤣
That's so funny but so so true!
A well versed cyclist. It's one of the top if not the best interview so far.
Another great interview... thoroughly enjoyed this one, and his technical knowledge is superb

So true about what Encik said. U must like the bike u ride, not what others tell you. That’s is the bike he likes.
Kudos, down to earth explanation, when old timer speaks, no BS or marketing. Great info based on experience.

Solid interviewee. Experienced man, knows what he wants, humble, open-minded about new trends, and communicates effectively.

This is definitely the most beautiful bike that I have ever seen in my life!!!
I think uncle George can be included in your bike sitter show. Well explained and full of experience in riding different kind of expensive bikes.
Agreed! Finally someone that knows his stuff.

enjoying the video with great technical sharing from George.
This experienced mtb rider deft appreciates his tech. Nicely built bike!!

His cycling insights are spot on! Great interview!! 👍🏾👍🏾
Probably your best video. Sounds like how my army encik sharing experience!!!
This is my fav interview.
Me too been riding road bikes since the 90s. Agree to what he had said.
black monster bike! wow!!
PS: 0:42, you can use a bell as a clapper, easier to see the wave and edit on post :)
im considering the factor OSTRO VAM and this video provided lots of useful information. Thanks to both of you
🙏
One of the knowledgeable cyclist that i know abt bike.
Wealth of information here, thank you Encik!
Let me just get credit for this and say I am the first person in the planet to point that out… 😜 I think Cam was disappointed with my comment, since it started an online war after..: 🤦♂️
he is like master oogway of cycling 😍
Solid interview! Excellent insights and honest answers. 😊
Encik George is damn strong. Give him a OFO bike and he will also fly
Like this uncle... practical explanation!
Very nice bike & premium components 👍🏻👍🏻
Very knowledgeable, enjoyed his sharing a lot
George has so many road bikes in his arsenal.
Chris froome did really well in the last TDF on that factor.
Oompa likes porpoising effect 😁
Nice, this bike is on my wish list. Factor > Seka if you can afford it (which I can't 😣)
Factor have their own bike factory so they make their own frames with their own moulds.
Oh? I did not know that! Good to know!
My question is: “ when are you selling your Factor”? I’ll buy it off you. LOL. Love from Canada.
Can you ask the main riding/owning difference between the bmc teammachine and this ostro? I sold my old 2020 bmc teammachine and deciding a new bike and like the ostro looks and since the geometry is very close to my bmc teammachine so I'm thinking about it.
This owner has got so much to impart!
yes certain power to get aero gains. in strong tail or cross winds aero geo. is slower, so your power has to trump that
The reason why George Sir is a beast in cycling its because he cycle to Mandai Hill Camp 3 times a week when he was station there.
Appreciate the English subtitles 🙏
I love the factor 02 vam 🤓
NIce I like how this uncle talk
Encik made me take out measuring tape to measure my bike's downtube.. Its really 80mm vs 50mm
Increase 1 step increment on the 12speed cogs thats why new di2 is heavier
boss really angry when hear 11speed huh 😅
May I know why did you pick that bib colour?
Because is not black
Steady la Uncle
If one day a OPSW company say Ceramicspeed or Absolute Black wants to sponsor you, your channel. How? Hahaha 🤣
Errrrrr…… need to hire a PR exec to answer
Encik George?

Hambini & absolute black on same bike🤣?
Will they fight each other 😂?
Sometime conflict is good
Does the Seka feel like the Ostro? 🤣
His leg is overstretching on the downstroke.
I have hard time to understand the English, due to the heavy accent. I really hope there is subtitle in your video
U can turn on the RUclips captions in the video. I have subtitled it there.
Old bird uncle.
42 mins still too short 😂🫡
y buy factor? cuz phil g. rides em

You have the money or not~ 🥲
